Se efectuó un muestreo sistemático paralelo en sentido perpendicular a la cota hasta las 100 y 120 mn. Las área de distribución se realizaron con el programa SURFER. La anchoveta peruana mantuvo predominio en aguas costeras y se registró hasta las 88 mn. Con amplia distribución entre Punta Falsa y el Callao.

A wearable system for multi-segment foot kinetics measurement.

This study aims to design a wearable system for kinetics measurement of multi-segment foot joints in long-distance walking and to investigate its suitability for clinical evaluations. The wearable system consisted of inertial sensors (3D gyroscopes and 3D accelerometers) on toes, forefoot, hindfoot, and shank, and a plantar pressure insole. After calibration in a laboratory, 10 healthy elderly subjects and 12 patients with ankle osteoarthritis walked 50m twice wearing this system. Using inverse dynamics, 3D forces, moments, and power were calculated in the joint sections among toes, forefoot, hindfoot, and shank. Compared to those we previously estimated for a one-segment foot model, the sagittal and transverse moments and power in the ankle joint, as measured via multi-segment foot model, showed a normalized RMS difference of less than 11%, 14%, and 13%, respectively, for healthy subjects, and 13%, 15%, and 14%, for patients. Similar to our previous study, the coronal moments were not analyzed. Maxima-minima values of anterior-posterior and vertical force, sagittal moment, and power in shank-hindfoot and hindfoot-forefoot joints were significantly different between patients and healthy subjects. Except for power, the inter-subject repeatability of these parameters was CMC>0.90 for healthy subjects and CMC>0.70 for patients. Repeatability of these parameters was lower for the forefoot-toes joint. The proposed measurement system estimated multi-segment foot joints kinetics with acceptable repeatability but showed difference, compared to those previously estimated for the one-segment foot model. These parameters also could distinguish patients from healthy subjects. Thus, this system is suggested for outcome evaluations of foot treatments.

Razão de perdas de solo e fator c para as culturas de soja e trigo em três sistemas de preparo em um cambissolo húmico alumínico

Utilizando dados obtidos em experimento de perdas de solo e água sob chuva natural em Lages (SC), de novembro de 1992 a outubro de 1998, calcularam-se a razão de perdas de solo (RPS) e o fator C da equação universal de perda de solo, para três sistemas de preparo do solo e duas culturas. Foram estudados os tratamentos aração+duas gradagens (A + G), escarificação+gradagem (E + G) e semeadura direta (SDI), submetidos à sucessão das culturas de soja (Glycine max) e trigo (Triticum aestivum L.), comparados à aração + duas gradagens sem culturas (SSC), sobre um Cambissolo Húmico alumínico com declividade média de 0,102 m m-1. O ciclo de ambas as culturas foi dividido em cinco estádios, com igual intervalo de tempo entre eles. Tanto as RPS quanto os fatores C variaram ampla-mente entre os sistemas de preparo do solo e entre os estádios durante o ciclo das culturas, bem como entre os ciclos na mesma cultura e entre as culturas, indicando forte efeito do manejo do solo, da época do ano, da cultura e da chuva sobre essas variáveis. Os valores médios de RPS na cultura de soja foram de 0,1711, 0,1061 e 0,0477 Mg ha Mg-1 ha-1, para a A + G, E + G e SDI, respectivamente, enquanto, para o trigo, as referidas RPS, para os respectivos sistemas de preparo do solo, foram de 0,2416, 0,1874 e 0,0883. Os valores médios do fator C, para os respectivos sistemas de preparo do solo, foram de 0,1437, 0,0807 e 0,0455 Mg ha Mg-1 ha-1, para a cultura de soja; de 0,2158, 0,1854 e 0,0588 Mg ha Mg-1 ha-1, para o trigo, e, para a sucessão das referidas culturas, de 0,3713, 0,2661 e 0,1043 Mg ha Mg-1 ha-1.

Decreased intraocular pressure induced by nitric oxide donors is correlated to nitrite production in the rabbit eye.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the effect of intraocular administration of nitric oxide (NO) donors in the rabbit eye on intraocular pressure (IOP), inflammation, and toxicity. METHODS: Intravitreal and intracameral injections of two NO donors, SIN-1 and SNAP, and SIN-1C and BSS were performed. Clinical examination, IOP measurements, protein evaluation in aqueous humor, and histologic analysis of the ocular globes were realized. Nitric oxide release was demonstrated by nitrite production in the aqueous humor and in the vitreous using the Griess reaction. RESULTS: The drastic decrease of IOP, observed after a single NO donor injection, was correlated directly with nitrite production and, thus, to NO release. Injection of inactive metabolite of SIN-1, SIN-1C, which is not able to release NO, did not modulate IOP. When administered in the aqueous humor or in the vitreous, NO did not diffuse from one segment of the eye to another. No inflammation or histologic damage was observed as a result of a single NO donor administration. CONCLUSIONS: Nitric oxide is implicated directly in the regulation of IOP and its acute, and massive release into the rabbit eye did not induce inflammation or other growth toxic effects on the ocular tissues.
