This study aimed to review the publications in the area of Education Physics that has contributed to Scientific Literacy and STS - Science , Technology and Society , with students of elementary school in Basic Education , looking for understand the importance of an education that aims the formation of critical citizens, in opposition to passive recipients of technological influences of a modern society , but which are able to understand and reflect the importance and influence of science and technology in political, social and environmental to society . In this context , the Physics, is one of the areas of natural sciences with direct implications in daily life , we believe in the importance of introducing physical concepts in science education since the early years of basic education , either as a approach playful , experiment, study of books , magazines , papers , etc. . , so that the knowledge about physics can be built through experience and the analysis of daily phenomena, instead of only being addressed in the last three years of teaching average basic education

O acesso à educação infantil é um direito da criança, a sua oferta é obrigação do poder público municipal embora a matrícula seja uma opção da família. Devido a crescente demanda nesta etapa da educação, surgiram estratégias para ampliar o atendimento. Em sendo assim, atualmente tem-se expandido, na rede pública, a oferta de vagas para educação infantil principalmente por meio de convênios e parcerias público-privadas, de certa maneira, incentivados pelo Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica e de Valorização dos Profissionais da Educação (FUNDEB), que admite a distribuição dos recursos públicos às instituições conveniadas. Este estudo está vinculado ao Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Política Educacional, GREPPE (grupo interinstitucional) – Seção Rio Claro, mais precisamente ao Projeto de Pesquisa intitulado Avaliando a produção científica sobre financiamento e convênios na educação infantil, coordenado pela Profª Drª Regiane Helena Bertagna. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo mapear e analisar a temática relacionada ao conveniamento e financiamento da educação infantil a partir de periódicos científicos nacionais de educação, avaliados pela CAPES como ―A1 – ano de referência 2008 - durante os anos de 2000 a 2010. Por meio de pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, de levantamento e análise bibliográfica, foram verificados e analisados os assuntos mais abordados em relação à temática nos estudos científicos, a saber: teoria econômica em educação; globalização e educação; Estado e educação; organismos internacionais e a infância; política de fundos para educação; atendimento na educação infantil. Internet is fully inserted in contemporary society, specially in relation to entertainment services and trading. Its reach has transposed the traditional desktop computer models coming to mobile devices like cell phones and GPS receivers. Likewise, the scientific community takes its benefits, both for publication of studies and for communication between clusters processing information, such as at LHC, located in Switzerland. Concerning geodetic positioning, researches in the area present the concept of Virtual Reference Stations - VRS, in which is necessary a communication way between the real reference stations and a central system as well as between central system and a service requester. In this work, we analyze the current solutions for generation of VRS with regard to data delivery for the service requester and present a solution based on Web Services as an alternative to the model being developed by Spatial Geodesy Study Group – GEGE/FCT/UNESP. Comparing solutions, it was verified the potential of Web Services to aid in researches of geodetic positioning using VRS. Using such technology, it is obtained interoperability, providing greater flexibility to develop client applications, both development carried out by researchers of the university or by any person or enterprise wishing to use the service

The discussions waged by several authors in the field of philosophy of science about scientificity and scientific work often fall to the shock of Sciences, who had long substantiate their studies from the perspective of Natural Sciences. Fact that the man away from research, transforming it into a simple object of study. Among these questions, it is necessary to think in a very scientificity of the humanities, which considers the various types of knowledge that makes up the formation of the individual. In this way, approaching the experience, treated by Agambem Benjamin Larrosa and the educational research with children presents itself as a chance to rethink the current paradigm of Sciences. This gives rise to the objective of this work reflect, based on a research conducted with children and imagetic production, the idea of 'research and its relation to the concept of experience'. We will take as its starting point the elaborations on this concept as presented by Giorgio Agamben. We are assuming that the images of that research, are configured as research papers or research and, in this sense, the research is defined as a documentary research

A bothropstoxina-I (BthTX-I) é uma fosfolipase A2 (PLA2) Lys49 miotóxica isolada do veneno da Bothrops jararacussu. Embora seja desprovida de atividade neurotóxica in vivo, esta toxina bloqueia a transmissão neuromuscular in vitro. A relação entre as atividades miotóxica e paralisante da BthTX-I ainda não está esclarecida. A crotapotina corresponde à subunidade não-enzimática da crotoxina, principal fração tóxica do veneno da Crotalus durissus terrificus. Isoladamente a crotapotina é atóxica, porém atua como carreadora da PLA2 Asp49 da crotoxina, potencializando sua ação neurotóxica. Esta proteína também é capaz de se complexar com outras PLA2s (Asp49 ou Lys49) de venenos ofídicos, alterando suas toxicidades. Neste trabalho avaliamos a influência da crotapotina sobre o bloqueio neuromuscular e a atividade miotóxica da BthTX-I in vitro. Preparações do nervo frênico-músculo diafragma de camundongos machos foram montadas em cubas para o registro das contrações musculares evocadas direta e indiretamente. Cortes transversais do músculo foram submetidos à coloração por hematoxilina e eosina para a avaliação do padrão morfológico. A BthTX-I (1 μM) isoladamente, ou pré-incubada com crotapotina (2 M) à 35 ºC por 30 minutos, foram adicionadas às preparações. A análise dos dados foi realizada por testes não paramétricos (p<0.05). A BthTX-I induziu bloqueio irreversível e tempo-dependente das contrações musculares diretas e indiretas. O tempo para o bloqueio de 50% das contrações indiretas (18,98 ± 1,94 min, n=4) foi significativamente menor que o das diretas (45,97 ± 5,61 min, n=5). A pré-incubação com a crotapotina não alterou de forma significativa o bloqueio das contrações diretas ou indiretas induzidos pela BthTX-I. Isoladamente, a crotapotina não afetou as contrações... This paper aims to develop a web application for viewing Atmospheric Electrical Discharge, plotting marks on a map, using as base data provided by SIMEPAR. The developed system uses techniques and tools which enable the creation of Web system without requiring the use of plugins or external software, running on virtually all web browsers and platforms. This tool aims to aid meteorologists monitor agile discharges and help society at large to prevent accidents caused by this phenomenon of nature

This work’s main purpose is to research how the scientific speech is outlined on the Revista Língua Portuguesa in statements made by linguists. Statements issued in the previously mentioned magazine have been analyzed. In order to achieve the proposal, the research was based on the following questions: how both the scientific and the scientific divulgation speeches are formed in the magazine, and whether the opinion texts written by scholars and researchers in the linguistic field identify themselves with opinion articles, scientific articles or scientific divulgation texts. Those questions were discussed from the theoretical-methodological bakhtinian perspective, taking the notion of dialogism, the human activity sphere, genres of discourse and style as conceptual elements. It has been detected that there is a complexity in the construction of the genres in the magazine, always taking into account the journalistic and scientific spheres of circulation. The analyzed statements presented themselves as a confluence of many genres’ characteristics, showing a point of view, a scientific subject, a researcher-author and a language adjustment to the magazine reader, making it more accessible. The analysis showed that the discussed statements resemble opinion articles, scientific articles, and reviews, besides being scientific divulgation at the same time

O Ensino de Ciência do Sistema Terra constitui o eixo articulador de um programa, que integra ações educacionais e de investigação, tendo por objetivo central o desenvolvimento e aplicação de propostas educacionais que incorporam princípios da complexidade. O programa articula as ações educacionais no âmbito de uma investigação-ação. As ações são realizadas em contextos de educação formal e envolvem comunidades escolares da rede pública do município de São José do Rio Preto (SP, Brasil). Os trabalhos e as ações consideram as diretrizes curriculares e as políticas educativas vigentes e seus resultados revelam-se na construção de materiais e práticas polidisciplinares, que exploram as conexões existentes entre as diferentes áreas do conhecimento para ensinar os conteúdos curriculares, em prol de uma educação científica mais efetiva e pertinente. Os resultados, até então obtidos, revelam alguns contributos das ações educacionais e de investigação do programa que, ao potenciar e incentivar o trabalho colaborativo, o diálogo multidisciplinar e a reflexão crítica, favorecem o desenvolvimento de uma percepção mais acurada do significado e alcance da educação científica para a formação do indivíduo e das sociedades.

This article brings to light the latest research on the activities of Baptiste-Louis Garnier, French bookseller and publisher established in Rio de Janeiro, in his relations with the French publishing world: methods, procedures, books, authors and publishers. Cultural exchanges between these two systems helped to consolidate the canon of authors and works of Brazilian Literature in the nineteenth century. The study of these relationships can give full account of some information scholars have provided us and contributes to a better understanding of the process of production and circulation of literary works in Brazil.

The majority of the population knows their role in dengue control, preventing the accumulation of water in containers as potential breeding sites of Aedes aegypti, the main vector of dengue. Also known chemical control, widely used by the institutions responsible for the control of endemic diseases. On the other hand, unaware that an alternative measure such biological control through a microbial biopesticide, safe, harmless to health and the environment, can be adopted. Thus, this work reported for elementary school students, simply and clearly, the biological control of mosquitoes through bacterial biopesticide produced locally. Moreover, promoted the interdisciplinary teaching of science and mathematics through the data tabulation and charting on interviews conducted by students, about the level of knowledge of the population about dengue and other related variables.

This paper is result of an analysis of the Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, made based on the perspective of discursive semiotics. For both, the elements of the generative course of meaning were applied, particularly those in works of Barros (2001) and Fiorin (2000). In view of that each of the three levels (elementary, narrative and discourse) of semiotics approach are considered capable of independent descriptions, we sought through the (re) construction of meaning of specific parts of the work and also the relationship of its thematic route with the time it was composed, found that, as a result of this work, the relationships between fiction and reality and thus the relevance of the work of Aldous Huxley
