Due to the large economic development associated with the growing consumerist lifestyle of our capitalist society, the problem of uncontrolled solid waste generation worsens, which one is considered to be one of the main responsible factors for environmental degradation. As a case study and in order to solve the problem of large generation of municipal solid waste, this work aims to study the “plano diretor” of Rio Claro city, São Paulo. The “plano diretor” is a municipal law that provides guidelines for the administration of the city, which include guidelines for the management of solid waste generated in the city. The guidelines required in order to write the “plano diretor” are provided by the national law “estatuto da cidade”, providing information for the planning and development of the cities, as well as the management of the urban environment. However, only the “estatuto da cidade” does not provide enough instructions for creating management plans in order to solve the many problems from the urban environment. Thus, studies have been done about urban and environmental management, to understand how municipal management plans should be structured. As a form of seeking information that can complement the “plano diretor” to the creation of policies for managing solid waste of the city, the “Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos”(PNRS) emerges in 2010 as a document which provides principles, objectives and guidelines to create plans for Solid Waste Management at the national, state, regional and municipal levels. Therefore, it was possible to make a joint analysis of the “plano diretor” of Rio Claro with the PNRS to identify what is already done within the municipality about the solid waste management, and identify which aspects are most significant in the municipal solid waste management that the national policy provides. The development of medium-sized cities in recent decade, caused, partly, by the industrial deconcentration process generated, beyond benefits, several problems for these cities population. The unplanned rapid growth of these cities, together with the capitalist model of production collaborated for the increase of socioeconomics questions in these locations. The urban mobility became one of these problems, embarrassing citizen’s lives, especially in downtown area. Therefore, the State began looking for solutions to improve urban mobility of the population, contributing to their quality of life and also to adapt the city to new market demand. In these work, we analyzed the situation of Brazilian medium-sized cities downtown area, as well as its growth process, tanking as an example the case of the city of Rio Claro – SP and it´s Public Administration proposal to improve the flow and urban mobility in a particular street in the town´s commercial centre

The aim of this article is to present some considerations on the contemporary city figurativizations, from the reading of “O Arquiteto”, a Bernardo Carvalho’s short story, published in the anthology “Aberração” (2004). In this short story, the writer retakes the city theme following a modernity tradition, established, among others, by Poe and Baudelaire, making his voice embrace other Brazilian writers voices, that have represented the town, but, at the same time, recreating, in his scripture body, dense and intense, quick and, in some sense, agonic, the utopist projects of renascence ideal cities, questioning the utopias and the aesthetics traces which can be found on the nowadays texts. To enlarge the metalinguistic proposal that emerges from the analysis, some poems by João Cabral de Melo Neto are considered. This comparison allow us to establish parameters to think about influence in certain perspective of contemporary literature, which epicenter configures less the supremacy of the newty and more a aesthetic of deletions of the origins, tracks, traces, which are possible by the canon invention.

From its foundation until nowadays, the city of São Paulo has undergone major transformation processes, one of the responsibles for these changes is the presence of efficient transportation ; From construction of roads and routes for the animal traction transportation, railroads, expansion and improvements to the introduction of the automobiles, highways, subway system, among others, all these changes are related to greater flow of people and goods. However nowadays has been reflected issues such as quality of life and development of society in a sustainable way, once we have the construction and reconstruction of space in benefit of capital, and therefore the valuation of individual motorized transport. The overuse of individual motor vehicles are generating an urban chaos, making it increasingly difficult to transit in big cities, the use of bicycles is presented as a viable modal alternative, allowing the flow, and enhancing the health of society and quality of the air

The purpose of this study is to know the route of Special Education in different contexts, the city of Maringa/Brazil and Guadalajara/Spain and analyze the bases underlying the organization, structure and operation of this mode of education having as starting point the process inclusive school. This investigation is based on the theoretical and methodological principles of the historical-cultural notion by Vygotsky. He argues that the existence of fundamental principles underlying the development of children with disabilities. If, on the one hand, the disability imposes limitations on the individual, hindering its development, on the other, just by causing difficulties, enables the movement to compensate, increasing the development of other capabilities. The deficit itself is less. Therefore, it is a field research carried out by means of observations, literature search and document analysis in early childhood education institutions visited in the cities mentioned above. The results showed that there are peculiarities of its path, organization and functioning of Special Education in each of the contexts analyzed. Referentemente the inclusive education movement, it is clear that Spain is a precursor of this process therefore has the right conditions in different ways to conduct the service children with special needs, and on the other hand, schools have the resources and specialized materials they need. While in Brazil the operationalization of these measures occurs more slowly. Thus, we can say that this process of inclusive education does not happen in a linear fashion within mainstream schools and so little action in the different forms of special education in two contexts analyzed.

Os sete textos aqui apresentados resultam de seleção realizada entre 296 trabalhos em outubro de 2013, durante o VII Congresso de Extensão Universitária da Unesp. Abrangem propostas inovadoras nas áreas de Direitos Humanos, Educação, Espaços Construídos, Política e Economia, Saúde e Tecnologia. O trabalho “Educação e Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA)” propõe preparar agentes sociais e professores da cidade de Rio Claro e região para que o trabalho com as crianças e adolescentes possa ser mais efetivo em relação à aplicabilidade do ECA e para fortalecer as redes de atendimento. Em “Cursinho Pré-Vestibular Gera Bixo” o objetivo é a redução do déficit educacional do aluno proveniente do ensino público. O trabalho relata que em oito anos de existência o cursinho aprovou mais de duzentos alunos em universidades públicas ou particulares com 100% de bolsa e que o índice de aprovações alcançou 47% em 2012. “O direito à habitação e o papel da universidade pública” discute a habitação enquanto direito social assegurado pela Constituição. Trata de pesquisas e propostas alternativas para a habitação social que possibilitem custos mais baixos. Os autores de “Transparência e controle social: a experiência do Observatório da Gestão Pública de Marília (SP)” relatam como o Observatório viabiliza a prática do controle social da gestão e a advocacia de ideias no âmbito do município de Marília. O trabalho “Atendimento aos pacientes do Centro de Oncologia Bucal da Faculdade de Odontologia de Araçatuba Unesp” tem como objetivo ampliar o número e os tipos de atendimento de pacientes portadores de patologias bucais, orientar os alunos nos procedimentos de exame clínico, complementares e cirúrgicos, visando ao diagnóstico e tratamento das patologias bucais. Utilizar a jardinagem e a horticultura na recuperação de pacientes com dependência química, alcoólatras e desabilitados do Núcleo de Saúde Mental (Cerdif), de Ilha Solteira foi a proposta de “Jardinagem como terapia ocupacional na recuperação de pacientes do Cerdif/Ilha Solteira (SP). Em “Equipamentos para promoção de melhor qualidade de vida de pessoas com deficiência motora” os autores partiram do censo de 2010, segundo o qual 13,17 milhões de brasileiros declararam-se portadores de algum tipo de deficiência grave. Para contribuir com essa população, o Grupo de Pesquisa Novas Tecnologias e Qualidade de Vida dos Deficientes Físicos tem fabricado diversos equipamentos voltados à tecnologia assistiva.

The aim of this paper is to present an experience of inclusion of individuals with mental disabilities in a religious community in the city of Londrina, north Paraná state. Called here Special Catechesis this was an evangelizing held inside a Catholic Church with the mental disabilities people The project, which five years and five classes per year, allowed the development of a pedagogical action with goals of evangelization and catechesis, where all people were successful. It was also an action to raise the consciousness among parents of these children in order to allow their children could participate in the project. Special Catechesis was evaluated for us as significant experience because it allowed a relative and positive inclusion of the classes in religious and social activities of the local community.
