Revisitando a dicotomia fala/escrita

This work has by main objective revisit the dichotomy speech/writing from the perspective of scholars in the field of linguistics in relation to the communicative and interactional aspects of language. The research is based on the study of traditional dichotomies that classically distinguish between the oral form and the written form of the language. It is noted here the importance of the study of communication and interaction of individuals, as language being the main aspect responsible for the organization of society, and, of course, also being indispensable for the development of human being. This study shows that the distinctive peculiarities between speech and writing are not of the characteristics of a particular procedure, but differences that are necessary due to the specific moment of creation of an utterance or text, because both the oral and the mode writing may have traces of formality/informality; completeness/incompleteness, among other things. In other words, there is not a distinctive feature that is present only in speech or writing. Thus, this research shows that, by the numberless technological advances, the communication between people has gone through changes and crossed barriers. Therefore, it is clear that with the collaboration of the media, the old dichotomies recommended for speech and writing are being overcome and can no longer be treated strictly to any of the modalities

Um olhar para o Programa Acessa Escola: condições dos laboratórios de informática das escolas públicas de Guaratinguetá

Considering the necessity of implementation of the Information Technologies and Communication (ICT) in the public Brazilian schools, the São Paulo State government hearing the call of the federal government and, with the objective to promote the digital inclusion, created the Programa Acessa Escola. The research that we realized and bring expressed on this text, is about such program and allowed us comprehend how it had been developed in the public state schools of the city of Guaratinguetá. By visiting the schools, we saw the manner that each school make use of his informatics laboratory; how they understand the government Project; how they develop actions of use of the laboratory and, particularly, how they use the informatics laboratory to the teaching and learning of mathematics helping the professor and the students. To make possible to understand this use, was realized interviews with the responsible intern of each one of the 14 (fourteen) schools of Guaratinguetá; with the pedagogical coordinator or director of the school and with the mathematics teacher. By the analysis, realized using a qualitative approach of phenomenological nature, we understand that the intern see himself as an auxiliary of the student and professor in the use of the laboratory. The director or pedagogical coordinator understand that the laboratory is an excellent resource to the school, but still exist the necessity of more resources that allow to attend properly the community; and the mathematics teacher consider important the program in the school as much for the students digital inclusion as for the teaching but they feel not safe to use into his classes, because they consider that there is a lack of capacitation and collaboration to make their activities relevant to the learning. Mensuração das dimensões cardíacas pelo método VHS (Vertebral Heart Size) em cães

It is imortant to be able to evaluate the cardiact size . In 1995, was proposed by Buchanan and Bücheler a new way to measure the dimensions of the cardiac silhouette. This study aims to gather several studies of the cardiac dimensions by VHS method in the right lateral recumbency of of different breeds of dogs in a single work, facilitating the assess to information. Deep chest breeds have a smaller mean VHS value than the barrel chest breeds, showing that there is a variation of the VHS values acoording to the thoracic conformation of each breed, which indicates that there is a need to recognize the specific VHS values according to the breed standard to not to interpret the cardiac measurement in a wrong way through not compatible reference values for the animal. There is the individual variation that should be taken into accont at the time of measurement. The VHS is a helper method to a radiographic evaluation of the heart, and the ultrasonography remains the gold standard for the evaluation of the cardiac chambers and other changes of the heart
