As orações subordinadas substantivas em função de sujeito: questões de ensino

This paper attempts to answer how the descriptive analysis of the substantive subordination clauses made within the realm of academic research can contribute to the effective teaching of those structures in the Elementary School. After showing how the subordination has been treated in grammar school and textbooks and pointing at some recurring problems in the presentation of the subject, we present the treatment of subordinate clauses with the function of subject in two descriptive grammars of Portuguese, in order to ascertain to what extent the relevant aspects of the description of those clauses are related to the traditional way of teaching. From those descriptive works, we selected some functional features considered to be essential for the treatment of the subject in the Elementary School.

Casos de ensino relacionados à educação física escolar: uma produção dos alunos do ensino médio

Teaching cases are records, through written narratives, of an academic episode or incident, they appear in educational scenery as a rich strategy not only for the teacher's conformation but also for their investigation. The bibliography shows that young students are still not very much investigated and it contributes to the establishment of negative images of this social subject. In this sense, the objective of this work is to analyze the stories and episodes, called teaching cases, in narrative style, written by students from High School about their physical education classes. The participants of this study are High School students from two public schools from two cities in the countryside of São Paulo state. The researcher stayed in the schools for nine months and in this meantime she made contact with the students, asking, for the ones who showed interest, the construction of teaching cases. For this interested students, the researcher explained researcher explained what teaching cases are, as well as, she presented a template to guide them in the production. At the end of this process, twenty teaching cases were delivered to the researcher. They were analyzed under the qualitative approach, valuing the expressive wealth in the narratives, complemented by the interviews with the authors. Inset the mosaic of narratives and interviews, showing a variety of experiences and possibilities of distance and approximation of the students to the physical education classes, we can indicate that from the 20 cases, only one was set as a total distance from the physical education classes (this is the student's situation since she was in the second grade from elementary school). Mentioning the positive experiences and the approximation to the physical education classes, the association of teaching cases and interviews showed that seven students lived the context and until today present an affective proximity to the classes. This paper aims to base the thesis that the varied currents of the post-modern thought, in so far as have recourse to relativism to a greater or lesser degree, contribute to the legitimation of the religious education in public schools and, in a broader aspect, the religion in the public spaces. The methodological resource used to demonstrate the link between post-modern thought and religious education is the analysis at the historical and dialectical materialism perspective of publications produced to increase teachers on this discipline that is, in compliance with the Constitution, optional for students and mandatory for public elementary schools. The subject of this analysis is the learning content and has as prime concern to highlight the discourse of legitimation recurrent in authors when it is explicit in itself and explicit when it does not. The “religious education in public schools” as object of study allows us to understand the relationship between the post-modern thought, with its hegemony space within the human sciences and contextualized in the neoliberal economic environment, and the “learning to learn” pedagogies currently hegemonic in the educational landscape. We intend to contribute to the legal debate on laity, the philosophical debate on post-modernism and especially to the debate on the pedagogical theories in the educational fundaments.

Materiais didáticos para o ensino de língua estrangeira: Inglês para crianças

Teaching foreign languages, especially English, has been highly valued and widespread in Brazil in recent decades; so many schools now offer it from the earliest grades of Elementary school or already in kindergarten. This fact can be observed mainly through the spread of bilingual schools and private ones in which individuals begin language instruction as earlier as possible. In this article we report the experience developed in the project “Oficina de Inglês para crianças”, conducted at a Child Care Unit in São Carlos Federal University (UFSCar), and that had counted with the use of various pedagogical materials with the goal of providing a first contact of children with the English Language through a fun and enjoyable way.

A contação de histórias no ensino de ciências: um recurso didático

The present study aims to analyze the contribution of storytelling as a didactic resource in science education. The stories represents effective indicators to challenging situations as well as strengthen social, educational and emotional bonds. The research reported here allowed to present new ways to work the contents of Science Education, using the stories as interaction capabilities between content and affection. Keeping this in view, this work objectives was to observe the story telling as a resource for Science Education as well as identifying, analyze and to ponder which meanings assigned by teachers to this technique, their frequency of use and difficulties encountered in carrying out the activity. By the means of qualitative research, this study collected through interviews and by observations of practice in the classroom by their teachers from a municipal school in Pederneiras-SP. We concluded that the activities in the classroom, with the children propitiated them an interaction with the scientific content in a playful and pleasurable way, playing an important role in the formation of a critical and creative individual

A visão dos professores quanto ao processo de ensino e de aprendizagem do basquetebol nas aulas de educação física: a realidade de Volta Redonda/RJ

The present study has as its main purpose the investigation of teachers'view concerning the teaching and learning of basketball in Physical Education classes in a school setting. The selected teachers who participated in this survey come from public and private institutions in the city of Volta Redonda, RJ, Brazil, teaching 6th-9th grade classes of elementary school. This was a quantitative and qualitative study with content analysis. Data collection included interviewing 60 teachers who provided their opinions on the issue investigated. Development of basketball was investigated not only as a content for the Physical Education classes, but also as a dimension that goes beyond school boundaries, where that sport plays an important role in society. Joint actions to provide the opportunity for basketball to grow as a content for Physical Education classes may represent a way to describe its implementation in all contexts, although the importance of this discipline in the school setting should not be disregarded in favor of obtaining results in sports competitions.

O funcionamento de uma escola de ensino integral no município de Rio Claro

EE Prof. Carolina Augusta Seraphim, School of Basic Education Cycle II, located in the municipality of Rio Claro in São Paulo, adopted the new Model School of Integral Education in 2013 from analysis and studies of state and local experiences, as an alternative to the demands of the public. The objective of the study is to characterize the operation of this new teaching model implemented by the Secretary of Education of São Paulo, based on the experiences gained through this school in the city of Rio Claro. This is a documentary research that was grounded on the content analysis of documents relating to the design of the program and the school to be searched. Having the information gathered will be compiled and analyzed using the theoretical framework as bibliographies of authors related to the topic, resulting in discussions about the recovery and casualization of teaching about this new teaching model
