A análise do discurso diante de estranhos espelhos: visualidade e (inter)discursividade na pintura

This paper aims to understand the discursive dimension of some paintings through Michel Foucault'sdiscourse analysis approach. The image of the mirror in several canonical paintings was selected, intending to observe its discursive operation as an element of the visual artistic utterance. Basically, this text has three parts: firstly, it determines the place occupied by the aesthetic discourse in Michel Pêcheux's and Michel Foucault's works; secondly, it focuses on the analysis of three European paintings, namely The Maids of Honour by Velásquez, A Bar at the Folies-Bergère by Manet, and Dangerous Liaisons by Magritte; thirdly, it discusses the intersection between visuality and interdiscursivity based on a) the contributions of M. Foucault's works on aesthetic discourse and b) the image of the mirror found in those paintings.

Análise do potencial de micro-organismos dos gêneros Lectthophora e Cryptococcus para a produção de biocumbustíveis

A busca de novas fontes de energia tem sido estimulada pela demanda crescente do mercado e o bioetanol é uma alternativa promissora para esta questão. A produção de etanol a partir de resíduos agroindustriais lignocelulósicos está sendo pesquisada em vários laboratórios do Brasil e do exterior. Os resíduos da agroindústria são formados, em grande parte, por fibra vegetal lignocelulósica, a qual é altamente resistente à degradação, dificultando a conversão dos componentes a monossacarídeos fermentescíveis. Desta forma, a prospecção de micro-organismos que viabilizem a conversão de material lignocelulósico em etanol tem aumentado consideravelmente. Sendo assim, o estudo de micro-organismos associados às formigas cortadeiras, os quais são adaptados ao uso da biomassa lignocelulolítica, pode ser promissor para a descoberta de enzimas adequadas à degradação eficiente da fibra vegetal, podendo significar um passo adiante na produção do etanol de segunda geração. Neste trabalho analisamos a ação hidrolítica e a liberação de açúcares fermentescíveis por fungos dimórficos do gênero Lecythophora e de leveduras do gênero Cryptococcus sobre o material lignocelulósico. A metodologia empregada consistiu na inoculação das linhagens em diferentes resíduos da agroindústria, como bagaço de cana-de-açúcar, casca de café, casca de arroz e sabugo de milho triturado, seguida da quantificação dos açúcares redutores liberados, bem como da produção de enzimas hidrolíticas extracelulares, como endoamilase, exoamilase, pectinase, endoglucanase, exoglucanase e xilanase. O gênero Lecythophora mostrou-se melhor produtor enzimático quando comparado com o gênero Cryptococcus, ambos em meio suplementado com bagaço de cana-de-açúcar. Em Cristo, poetas denunciam a podridão da modernidade: uma análise da obra Tempo e eternidade

This assignment aims to do a critical and interpretative review of the masterpiece Tempo e Eternidade, published by the Brazilian poets Jorge de Lima and Murilo Mendes in 1935. It is a result of a project called Restaurando a poesia em Cristo, created by many different Brazilian poets as Tristão de Ataíde, Augusto Schimdt, and others. It is worth highlighting the importance of these poems, because of the period when they were published and for the modern proposal, as the theme, which the poets denounce the bad aspects of modernity of the century through the Holly Bible, as also for the new esthetics. In the 30s, Brazil was passing through many changes; in aspects of history - the transition between the governments of Oligarchy to the New State, in governance of Getúlio Vargas; and in the literary context, it was the beginning of the second phase of Modernism, from 1930 to 1945. This period remains the consolidation of the literary movement, in terms of esthetics, since the major proposal of Modernism is freedom of the verse and, in this second phase, the search for a renovation of the language and the enlargement of the themes in poetry, such in the religious aspect or the social-political' themes. In this perspective, it aims to show the importance of the masterpiece for the history of Brazilian literature, coated as part of a turning point between the first and second phase of Modernism, also for the thematic renovation in religious poetry and esthetics, with a new proposal of esthetics. The methodology for the analyses of the poems will be through Antonio Candido's proposal, in O estudo analítico do poema, based on interpretation and comments. Therefore it intends showing through the analyses the relevance of the masterpiece written by the Brazilian poets, to the area of religious poetry and for the literary movement of that time

A liberdade de imprensa vista pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal: análise da ADPF n. 130

The present study aims to present and analyze the ruling of the Brazilian Supreme Court in ADPF 130 (Concentrated constitutional review action, Fundamental Precept Infringement, Argüição de Descumprimento de Preceito Fundamental), proposed by Partido Democrático Trabalhista (PDT), which contests the compatibility of statute 5.250/67 with the Federal Constitution of 1988. This work considers that the judicial ruling is different than the approach taken by the Legislative and Executive powers, arguing that there is, in the Judiciary, a peculiar way for ruling, surrounded by mysteries, rites, secrets, pomp and circunstances unintelligible to layman. To reach the proposed goal, Justice Carlos Brito´s report and opinion on ADPF 130 are analyzed. The choice of giving special attention to this opinion, which favors the declaration of unconstitutionality of the 5.250/67 statute, is justified in that it represents agreement with the allegation of disrespect to the constitutional text, as suggested by the Partido Democrático Trabalhista. The arguments put forth by the presiding Justice on his ruling will also be the object of consideration, as well as some possible consequences of the ruling.

Modelagem Matemática e Análise de Modelos Matemáticos na Educação Matemática

In this paper we present two studies, the first one completed and the second one in development, which are based in teaching approaches that propose the qualitative study of mathematical models as a strategy for the teaching and learning of mathematical concepts. These teaching approaches focus on subjects from Higher Education such as Introduction to Ordinary Differential Equations and Topics of Differential and Integral Calculus. We denominate this common aspect of the teaching approaches as Model Analysis and in a preliminary level we relate it with Mathematical Modeling. Furthermore, we discuss some questions related with the choice of the theme and the role of Digital Technologies when Model Analysis is applied.
