TThis work deals with present how to increase the accuracy of productivity indicators, aiming to increase the information accuracy of performance indicators and propose improvements to the process in question, more specifically to improve the visualization of information from these indicators for all hierarchical levels of the company, and then make possible use them to assist in the processes of decision making and planning of the production process. We start with an analysis of the current process to be studied seeking sources of information losses during the production process. Afterwards, a specific analysis of the points considered critical, so alternatives are raised for improvements to these points. This project has some specific tools and methodologies that guide the development of work which are required of any project carried out in the company

Implementação da metodologia TPM em uma indústria do setor de higiene pessoal, saúde e beleza

This work presents a project of Action Search in a consumption industry of the sector of personal care, health and beauty. Following the implementation steps of Autonomous Maintenance Pillar of TPM methodology, stands for Total Productive Maintenance, this work aims to ensure the advancement of some machines in a production line of the company to the next steps of the methodology implementation, demonstrating the results achieved by the TPM. In the company in question, the TPM has been implemented in the past but lost strength over the years and some of its concepts were abandoned, producing then a drop in the equipments efficiency, increased wastes and breaks in the processes, as well as loss in product quality. Then, the need arose to restart the implementation process from the beginning, to strictly follow all the steps of the methodology, ensuring increased efficiency of equipment and processes. Through training and a changing in the company culture, it was possible a joint effort between Operation and Maintenance in order to enhance the knowledge of the operators on their machines. Initially, it was developed a general cleanliness program of equipments so that it could be possible to find the anomalies in the process. Subsequently, operators and maintainers were trained to detect anomalies, enabling equipments to work under their basic conditions of operation and subsequently building provisional standards of equipment cleaning, lubrication and inspection. Through the improvement presented by some indicators such as OEE, wastes, bankruptcies and unavailability, it was proved the importance and the positive effects of TPM implementation in manufacturing

Biodiversidade e código florestal em Botucatu, um estudo de caso

The brazilian legislation has sufored changes by the law no 1876/99, without the scientific community consultation, causing grave consequences for the country natural patrimony. The goal of this research is to investigate what the professors and students community of a São Paulo University know about the theme, as much as a rural and urban portion of persons; what they consider important and which atributes are taken in consideration. By the elaboration of closed questionnaires, qualitative and quantitative datas were collected, organized and analysed. The datas showed a low schooling by the countrified people, which reflected the low forest law knowledge. The distance between the university and society was also noticed, which indicates the lack of extension activities, ethical commitment against knowledge, technology and the sustainable development of the country. Simulação de produção de sedimentos em microbacias em função de cenários de restauração florestal

In São Paulo state, deforestation and agriculture activities are increasing soil losses processes, especially in areas of susceptible soils where properties not adopt soil conservation practices. Environmental adequacy at property level regarding Permanent Protection Areas and Legal Reserves is considered a factor on reducing soil losses and considering that we assessed soil losses of different scenario of environmental adequacy. Simulations of erosive process were carried out in 15 catchments of Corumbataí river basin, according to different forest restoration scenarios, as well as the current situation of land use/land cover. The scenarios include the implementation of Permanent Preservation Areas (PPA), the reforestation of variable source areas, and two scenarios, the Legal Reserve installation in 20% of each catchment, being one of them for most critical areas in terms of erosion and the other at random. It was observed that the establishment of PPA and the reforestation of hydrologically sensitive areas, offered only a small contribution to the control of the erosive process, resulting in a reduction of 10% and 7,8%, respectively, while the legal reserve in critical areas has a significant reduction of 69,8%. The random scenario, in turn, resulted in a reduction of only 21,4%. Results show that reforestation could reduce soil losses, but previous studies of land prioritization and planning could increase significantly its efficiency at this process.

Criação de novo procedimento de engenharia que possibilite a rastreabilidade das tubulações de uma indústria química

The number of piping in an industry is high. Through this piping are conducted several kind of products at several temperature and pressure conditions. In a chemical company, the piping quantity conducting harmful chemical products to human health and to the environment is higher. Nowadays the theme sustainability is often mentioned and harm to environment may cause irreversible damage to the human being, to the fauna, to the flora and to company´s credibility. In this context, controlling over the piping to avoid accidents is mandatory. The objective of this monograph is to create a procedure which enables the chemical companies piping traceability. This monograph analyses the several existent traceability system in the three economy sectors and approaches the technical question of industrial piping in order to create a procedure that achieves its objectives as a technical document and at the same time be economically feasible, with low complexibility level and high practicability. Some possibilities to elaborate this procedure had been studied, as the creation of an alphanumeric code and making with a chisel in the pipeline based on ASTM F2897 and the use of chips to store the information. However, the procedure which best meet the requirement as low cost and high applicability is filling out an electronic plan with information about welding process, welding certification, welding consumables and inspections

Frugivoria e dispersão de sementes por anta (Tapirus terrestris) em uma área de plantio florestal no cerrado, MS

A anta brasileira Tapirus terrestris é o maior mamífero terrestre neotropical, sendo encontrada em todos os biomas brasileiros, com exceção da Caatinga, onde foi extinta. É capaz de carregar sementes de tamanhos variados por longas distâncias e em grandes quantidades, e depositá-las em locais distantes da plantamãe. Porém, seu potencial como dispersora é questionado, uma vez que o transporte para latrinas pode dificultar o estabelecimento pela grande quantidade de sementes. Os objetivos desse projeto foram (1) investigar a dieta da anta em um ambiente de Cerrado e (2) verificar, através de testes de germinação, se a passagem pelo seu trato digestivo modifica a taxa de germinação de araçá-docampo (Psidium guineense) e mutambo (Guazuma ulmifolia). O estudo foi realizado na fazenda Barra do Moeda, Três Lagoas/MS, onde a matriz é composta por talhões de eucalipto e cerrado em diversos estágios sucessionais. Os bolos fecais foram coletados em viagens trimestrais e, na triagem, tiveram as sementes separadas e contabilizadas. Foram utilizados os testes qui-quadrado e o de Mann-Whitney para as análises estatísticas. A triagem dos bolos fecais registrou 53 espécies vegetais, sendo 31 identificadas. As famílias com maior proporção foram Myrtaceae, Poaceae, Malvaceae e Rubiaceae, sendo verificada diferença significativa na dieta entre as duas estações. O fruto de Araçá-do-Campo (Psidium guineense) foi o mais consumido nos dois períodos, o que indica a importância desse item alimentar para a anta. Além disso, foi verificada uma redução significativa no sucesso germinativo do araçá-do-campo após a passagem pelo trato digestivo desse mamífero, sugerindo que apesar da grande quantidade de sementes, parte é inviabilizada. Embora os avanços tenham impactos muito amplos, um dos setores que mais se beneficiam do desenvolvimento da biotecnologia é a agricultura. This work was developed with the aim of explaining the real benefits of using the concept of Lean Manufacturing in a Metallurgical Industry. Through this will highlight the strategies and real gains from the use of this methodology and therefore, the tools of Production Engineering that were used in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, in order to improve processes in various aspects such as reduced handling, standardization of production, reduced time used in machine setup. Practical methods applied for the purpose of reducing waste become apparent. Also highlighted will be the real difficulties encountered in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing

Espaço fábrica: intervenção em conjunto de antiga indústria de óleos em Bariri - SP

Discussões a respeito de propostas de intervenção em espaços ur-banos que possuem valores culturais para a comunidade têm sido um tema bastante explorado por arquitetos e urbanistas contemporâneos. Muitos são os teóricos que se ocuparam do assunto – as primeiras teorias de restaura-ção do patrimônio arquitetônico construído datam do século 18 – mas, até hoje, não se pôde estabelecer um consenso sobre como se deve ou não proceder na concepção de projetos dessa natureza. Este trabalho trata de um espaço ocioso na área central do municí-pio de Bariri, interior do estado de São Paulo, onde se deram as atividades de uma indústria de óleos vegetais de grande expressão na cidade, entre as décadas de 1960 a 1980. Mesmo depois de a fábrica ter entrado em proces-so de falência, seus equipamentos e edificações permaneceram no terreno, e, até hoje, parte considerável de seu patrimônio construído ainda continua lá. Porém, nunca se deu outro uso para o espaço, sendo que, atualmente, as instalações se encontram em processo de ruína. Sabe-se que áreas desocu-padas inseridas na malha urbana podem levar a uma degradação do espaço, devido à falta do cuidado mantido pela presença humana, causando, diversas vezes, a perda do controle pelo poder público, e incidentes provocados pela falta de segurança. A Indústria Resegue de Óleos Vegetais (IROV) teve considerável importância histórica para o município, sendo um dos maiores símbolos da atividade econômica dos imigrantes sírios na cidade. Foi responsável pelo emprego de muitos trabalhadores e por grande movimentação financeira na época em que esteve em funcionamento. Além disso, seu espaço físico im-ponente está presente no cognitivo da maioria dos habitantes baririenses, compondo, de maneira significativa, a identidade visual de Bariri. Aumento da precisão do controle de estoque: pesquisa ação em indústria de bens de consumo

This work is an action research conducted in an industry of consumer goods, presenting a new model of inventory management in the company's processors. This replacement of the inventory management of the company stemmed from the need to reduce the large number of deviations in the product write off in stock, thereby generating a low accuracy and reliability of data on inventories of processors shown by the company's ERP system. Spending on inventory adjustments could thus be reduced with the implementation of the new model, thus generating a cost savings for the company and thus increasing their competitive potential in the market. In the old system adopted by the company, write off raw material inventory was done automatically by the system for customized transactions by the company. However, since the implementation of ERP in the company, the automatic write off based on historical consumption of each product were made in many cases at random, generating a lot of mistakes. The new management system has replaced the automatic system by manual at the time of the return of the processed product in the company, thus creating a control which lots and quantities were consumed in the processing and making the stock shown by the ERP reliable and accurate

Prospecção de novos negócios numa indústria de autopeças: diagnóstico de falhas e sugestões de ferramentas para melhoria

The growth and expansion in auto parts market are directly related to the ability of a company to innovate and gain new customers, increasing its portfolio of customers and products. For this purpose the process of prospecting for new business has become a key process in companies seeking this goal, which requires teams and structures dedicated to it. Besides counting on available resources to carry out prospecting, it is necessary to properly manage the process as a whole, whose main result is a business proposal, which may lead to closer relations with the potential client and the activation of a new business. Process failures and difficulties to formulate a commercial proposal lead to documents produced without the quality needed that makes it harder to obtain new business. The objective of this study is to evaluate the process of new businesses quotation in the auto parts industry and indicate opportunities for improving this process. This goal is achieved by mapping the current process, from the diagnosis of problems and the indication of tools that can prevent or minimize the problems diagnosed. The information supporting this study were obtained by the bibliographical research, participant observation of the process, unstructured interviews with some of the involved people in the process and prospecting tools that can improve it. It results the mapping of new business quotation process, the points indicated as failures and difficulties in the process and the appointment of project management tools that can bring improvements to the new business proposals and pointing the moment for your application in the process

Estudo da indústria farmacêutica brasileira: a queda das patentes e entrada dos medicamentos genéricos

The objective of this study is to examine the pharmaceutical industry and changes that the fall of patents and entry of generics may cause in the price and consumption of drugs. Thus, there is a brief discussion about the global pharmaceutical industry, from its origins to the present day, showing in particular the case of the United States, today considered the largest industry in this sector. From this, the work seeks to address specifically the Brazilian industry and its regulation. Since the generic law implementation, the participation of this type of medicine has grown significantly in the country. Because they have always been lower than prices of their brand, the cost of treating disease is reduced, which makes generic drugs represent an improvement for consumers in terms of welfare of society

Medidas de adequação ambiental para indústria de leite e derivados, como requisito para gestão ambiental

The society continues demonstrating its need regarding the products and services, even though it becomes increasingly value the protection of the environment. In this context, environmental management is defined as a management method that emphasizes to continuously improve results and promote sustainable development. Moreover it has as a tool the laws which provide the benchmarks and mechanisms for companies to adapt their activities in such a way that does not alter the quality of the environment. In this sense, in order to propose improvements to a dairy aiming their environmental suitability, a present study was prepared by following the production activities of the enterprise, the raising of standards and applicable legal requirements and environmental assessment for the preparation of an array of aspects and impacts with the task of identifying the most significant according to MOREIRA (2006). The results indicated that some of the impacts of high relevance are related to the generation of wastewater and solid waste, which do not have treatment and / or proper disposal and indeed require intervention for their suitability. Through, these results were drawn up proposals for actions conformation. In addition, they were proposed meeting the requirement for health and safety at work, in accordance with the standard regulations. This study has the function, therefore, propose to the company in question, an environmental management plan that ensures the protection of the environment and health of employees and consequently the improvement of production processes and products
