Da literatura ao jornalismo: periódicos do século XIX

Neste artigo, o interessado na pesquisa em periódicos brasileiros do século XIX encontra alguns subsídios importantes como uma breve história da imprensa e das técnicas de composição e impressão de periódicos no Brasil, uma descrição da organização editorial característica dos jornais diários e uma análise do projeto editorial de uma típica revista ilustrada, além de considerações úteis sobre o costumeiro emprego de pseudônimos por autores do período.

Dispositivo lúdico para ensino sobre desperdício e reaproveitamento de materiais

Descrito como o presente Privilégio de Invenção, apresenta características de brinquedo, para assim estimular e ensinar crianças sobre a importância da reciclagem de materiais, bem como na manutenção das condições do meio-ambiente em geral, para tanto, o mesmo é composto por uma cartela (1), onde é impresso o desenho de um lixão, uma tabuleta (2) com a impressão de desenhos com as respectivas separações dos materiais, como vidro, metal, plástico e papel, bem como com a representação do material orgânico e do agente ambiental, e um bloco de papel convencional, sendo a cartela (1) mostrada por um determinado período de tempo para os participantes e, após este período os mesmos devem anotar no bloco de papel todas as palavras que eles identificaram na figura.

Roteiros educativos: a adaptação de materiais didáticos para a tv digital interativa

Ao conceber esta obra, Evaldo Aparecido de Abreu levou em conta o decreto que instituiu o Sistema Brasileiro de TV Digital (SBTVD), que lista entre os objetivos da tecnologia propiciar a criação de rede universal de educação a distância. Ele estudou as atividades que deve desempenhar o profissional responsável por adequar material didático impresso, como livros e apostilas, em material audiovisual, mais especificamente para explorar a interatividade da TV. De todo o processo, o livro analisa a etapa da transformação do conteúdo pedagógico em produto audiovisual, chamado de design instrucional. E destaca o papel que o coordenador geral dessa atividade deve desempenhar. A obra levanta questões como as características tecnológicas da TV digital e do middleware Ginga, o software promotor da interatividade, e discute métodos de adaptação do material didático para a TV digital. Inclui ainda reflexões sobre a importância da interatividade no desenvolvimento de projetos educacionais e sobre como estes podem contribuir para a melhoria da educação brasileira.

With the growing aging population will be an increase of chronic degenerative diseases such as dementia. Among the various forms of dementia Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most prevalent. In individuals with AD, there is a loss in the processing of sensory information, which may aggravate the imbalance and falls. As the disease progresses, the individual lose the ability to function independently, becoming dependent on a caregiver. This study aimed to analyze the balance of the mental state and quality of life of individuals with AD, to determine whether a correlation exists between these variables and analyze the influence on quality of life of caregivers. This study was conducted with thirty individuals (82.86 ± 9.07 years) with AD, both sexes, and their caregivers. The evaluation of the balance was accomplished by the Scale of Functional Balance of Berg (EEFB), the cognitive function for the Mini-exam of the Mental State (MEEM), and the quality of life (QV) for the scale “life Quality - Disease of Alzheimer “ (QdV - DA) that is composed for three versions: patient, caregiver and family The data were analyzed by coefficient of correlation of Spearman. The balance analyses (EEFB=32,17 ± 13,26 points) shows increased in the risk of falls in the elderly and negative correlation (R = - 0,55, p <0,01) with age and good correlation with MEEM (R=0,63 p <0,01). Already in relation of the MEEM and QV, can observed correlation between the familiar version and the MEEM ((R=0,40 p=0,02). In Relation the versions of the QV questionnaire, found significant correlation among: QdV-DA patient X caregiver (R=0,41 p=0,02), QdV-DA patient X family (R=0,40 p=0,03). In this way we can conclude that the individuals with DA, appraised in this study, present a deficit in the balance, so much related with the age as with to the cognitive decline, and the greater the cognitive decline worse the impression of caring about the QOL of their family, and still, that the worsening in the quality of the patient’s life contemplates in a worsening in the quality of your caregiver’s life.

Análise do curso de extensão em Libras, na modalidade a distância, para formação continuada de professores no contexto educacional inclusivo

The inclusive education policy implemented by state and municipal educational systems of Brazil, contemplates that students with hearing loss can study in regular education classes. In this context, the use and knowledge of the Brazilian sign language is essential. Therefore, in 2009, an extension course of Libras of 120 hours in distance mode was developed in partnership with the FFC / UNESP, funded by the Program for Continuing Education of Teachers, the SEESP - MEC for Brazilian public school teachers. In the presence of this reality, this research sought to examine the course content, the evaluation of teachers about it and also verify the impression of teachers on a course offered in distance mode. We analyzed: the course design, the scientific report and the evaluation sheets filled in by pupils. It was found that the course had three modules: introduction to distance education; theoretical reflection on the use of Libras in inclusive education, practical activities and the use of Libras. 548 public school teachers linked to 19 departments and/ or boards of education in various regions of Brazil participated in the study. The analysis showed that teachers evaluated the course satisfactorily, pointing out that they favored the interaction with deaf students. Regarding the use of the modality of distance learning, the teacher students had difficulties with the Internet, which hampered access to the materials. However, the teachers considered distance learning interesting, because they learned to tinker with previously unknown tools, and had the opportunity to hone their technology skills.

Formação da imagem do professor na Folha de S. Paulo durante a greve de 2010

The objective of this paper is to discuss the construction of the image of São Paulo state public schools teachers in the public sphere, by the media and the trade union press, and see how that image is formed in both of them, without making any comparisons, from the covering of 2010 strikes by newspapers Folha de S. Paulo and Jornal da Apeoesp. This paper uses as theoretical basis the study of Media Hegemony, the concept of Radical Media and Public Sphere, as well as the relationship between them and social movements. It also considers the observation of the history and characteristics of trade union press and the Standards of Manipulation by the Press, proposed by Perseu Abramo. The chosen method was the identification, selection and organization of stories about education published by Folha de S. Paulo during the period; the application of Abramo’s proposed manipulation standards on the stories about the strike; research, selection and observation of print publications (Jornal da Apeoesp and newsletters Apeoesp Urgente) about the strike, published by Apeoesp during the same period

Cidade simbiótica: resgatando possibilidades

O projeto em questão trata-se da tentativa de criar um outro tipo de cidade dentro da cidade já estabelecida. Uma cidade em maior sintonia com a escala humana, que possibilite outras formas de vivência no espaço urbano. Uma cidade que valorize o meio ambiente e as relações humanas possíveis com ele, excluindo as possibiidades de degradação mútua. Um projeto de cidade que num primeiro momento pode dar a impressão parecer-se com uma ilha no oceano ou um oásis no deserto, mas que tem a possíbilidade de se expandir por suas características físicas e pelos próprios vetores que o ambiente e a antiga cidade proporcionam.No caso deste projeto seus vetores são a princípio o rio, as áreas industriais vazias ou subutilizadas e também seus equipamentos de mobilidade urbana

Eles e Elas: comparação intersexual na categorização social e formação das primeiras impressões em seres humanos

O objetivo da presente pesquisa foi compreender, sob uma perspectiva evolucionista, os mecanismos, preferências e as diferenças sexuais subjacentes a uma análise as primeiras impressões em seres humanos. Investigamos: (1) ocorrências de diferenças sexuais na categorização social e na formação das primeiras impressões; (2) a influência do sexo e da cor de pele e (3) ocorrência de preconceitos (com relação ao sexo e/ou a cor de pele do sujeito estímulo) e suas influências na formação das primeiras impressões. Para isso, tratamos de expor uma amostra de 43 indivíduos ( 17 a 34 anos) à oito vídeos (4 perfis: homens negros e brancos, mulheres brancas e negras) com duração de 20’’ cada. Durante o procedimento experimental foi requerido que o participante respondesse a um questionário (escala likert; 0-6). Nesse, o participante avaliava a atratividade física, a competência, sucesso na carreira, agressividade, confiabilidade, atribuía uma nota para a cor da pele, e qualidade geral. Foi feito um teste GLM com medidas repetidas e post hoc teste t student pareado, a fim fazer uma análise mais detalhada das diferenças encontradas nas avaliações. Nossos resultados apontam que a característica que afeta mais a avaliação tanto de homens como das mulheres é a atratividade física, o que foi possível concluir que as outras características em análise é menos dependente da primeira impressão e construída ao longo do convívio. As mulheres tendem a fazer uma avaliação mais minuciosa, o que corrobora outros estudos sobre diferenças sexuais. Devido ao pequeno N, não possível analisarmos a influência da cor da pele do sujeito estímulo na avaliação, evidenciando a necessidade de ampliação futura desse projeto. Inspeção de Precaução de Contato: relato de Experiência de uma Graduanda de Enfermagem Botucatu

Infections Related to Healthcare (IRAS) is a problem of worldwide concern, responsible for much morbidity and lethality. The incidence of IRAS associated with resistant microorganisms has increased worldwide. It is also known that the etiology of bacterial resistance is multifactorial, thus controlling the spread of resistant microorganisms requires the implementation of control measures that involve the performance of standard and contact precautions, plus the use of antimicrobials. To diagnose the problem as to the likely accession of the measures of infection control was prepared in a form to inspect the practices of the health staff acting with patients in contact precautions. The inspections had an educational and awareness, no punitive measures were taken to staff as warnings, suspensions or complains of a breach of ethics. If any irregularities were found, the professional standards of care countershaft contact and the nurse responsible for the head nurse or unit area were notified and counseled about the correct practice of isolation. While an undergraduate student initiated precautionary inspections of contact in order to verify the actual use of isolation measures, since the professionals were unaware of my active participation in the Committee on Infection Control. Facilities and difficulties were encountered in the process, and from the inspections was possible interventions to facilitate compliance with standards for isolation imposed by contact. Since the instrument has significantly improved adherence to contact isolation practices, the members of the Infection Control regulated inspections and intend to use it as a permanent method

Crise do modelo do jornalismo comercial e emergência do jornalismo cidadão

Corporative media, represented by TV, radio, press and internet conglomerates, is responsible for the biggest portion of audience and public all over the world. The commercial media was built upon media concentration and monopoly strategies and this business aims society’s economic and political control. Unfortunately, they don’t represent the biggest portion of population’s interests and, because of that, corporative media faces a crisis moment while alternative means of communication rise from the initiative of professionals who are committed to society’s marginalized sectors. Radical media intends to express a variant vision about hegemonic policies, priorities and perspectives. Citizen journalism is one of radical media arms and this research proposition is to analyze the business model of commercial media in Brazil and in the world, its means of production, and compare them with citizen journalism methods. This work also intends to analyze radical media and how it is opposite to corporative media by studying Escola de Notícias, an educommunication project from São Paulo

There fore, this work seeks to analyze and understand the sports broadcasting, which on the Brazilian television is usually limitate to the football. To perform the project of the conclusion of major, there was a need to study how the sport broke into television, how the sports broadcast is carried out by television media, which are the elements used for their coverage of sports events, especially football ones, and the effects that this broadcasting causes in society

Sensores de amônia à base de polianilina preparados com impressora jato de tinta

Neste trabalho, apresenta-se o desenvolvimento de um sensor de gás amônia sobre substrato de papel, impresso por jato de tinta térmico. Para a realização do trabalho formulou-se uma “tinta”4 de polianilina (PANI), adequada para uso na impressora térmica. Neste tipo de impressão, é necessário que a tinta de PANI seja preparada de forma que a maior parte do seu volume seja de água. A PANI, em seu estado desdopado, foi dissolvida em n-metil-2-pirrrilidona (NMP), e com a adição de água em determinadas condições de preparo e proporção, foi possível formar uma tinta de PANI/NMP/H2O estável e adequada para o uso na impressora térmica, podendo-se assim depositar filmes de PANI sobre substratos flexíveis, como por exemplo, diversos tipos de papéis. Neste trabalho, tintas de PANI foram depositadas sobre papel comum (sulfite) e papel fotográfico (glossy). A caracterização morfológica, por microscopia ótica, indicou que a qualidade dos filmes foi satisfatória em termos de uniformidade e homogeneidade. A resistividade de superfície dos filmes de PANI, sobre substratos de papel sulfite e fotográfico, é da ordem de 1x109 / , quando desdopado, e 1x104 / , quando dopado com vapor de ácido clorídrico (HCl). As caracterizações elétricas AC sugerem que os filmes de PANI desdopados, sobre ambos os substratos, se comportam similarmente a um circuito equivalente RC, formado por um resistor e um capacitor em paralelo.
