No sistema nervoso central (SNC), mecanismos excitatórios e inibitórios atuam para controlar a ingestão de água e sódio. Importantes mecanismos inibitórios da ingestão de água e sódio foram recentemente descobertos no núcleo parabraquial lateral (NPBL). Um papel importante do NPBL seria integrar as informações ascendentes da porção medial do núcleo do trato solitário (NTSm) e da área postrema (AP) que por sua vez poderiam influenciar a atividade das áreas prosencefálicas envolvidas no controle do balanço hidroeletrolítico, como núcleos específicos do hipotálamo e amígdala. Estudos prévios sugerem a presença de um importante mecanismo serotonérgico inibitório da ingestão de água e sódio no NPBL. Além do mecanismo serotonérgico também já foi demonstrado no NPBL a existência de um mecanismo colecistocinérgico que também exerce um papel inibitório sobre a ingestão de água e sódio. Em um estudo anterior em que se injetou um agonista e um antagonista inespecíficos de receptores opióides (β-endorfina e naloxona, respectivamente) no NPBL foi demonstrado que mecanismos opióides no NPBL podem modular o mecanismo inibitório da ingestão de água e sódio, porém não se sabia qual ou quais dos três subtipos de receptores opióides (μ, δ ou κ) estariam envolvidos nesse mecanismo... Since the beginning of the railway industry until today, rail wheels are important components to the good working of a railway. For being a critical security item, design and maintenance are done with extremely care to avoid failures. Despite de fact of railway components be projected to support a big number of cyclic solicitation during its life, some accidents still occur. These accidents, despite the low frequency, always have great consequences, drawing in great financial, material, and people losses. Nowadays, railway component failure is relatively low, because it’s been projected to work below the materials Fatigue Resistance Limit, however, with the growing demand of faster trains and higher load for each axle, the occurrence probability is even bigger. This work includes a comparative study of two fabrication processes (casting and forging) applied in the production of rail wheels where it was measured the mechanical properties of traction and fatigue. The study also verified through microstructural analysis, hardness, traction and fatigue tests, statistical analysis of fatigue test results and fractographic analysis that forging process lead to better correlations between fatigue life and mechanical properties, providing more security in railroads, less wagon retention caused by corrective maintenance and smaller operational cost with its use

The present work has as its goal to treat well known and interesting unidimensional cases from quantum mechanics through an unusual approach within this eld of physics. The operational method of Laplace transform, in spite of its use by Erwin Schrödinger in 1926 when treating the radial equation for the hydrogen atom, turned out to be forgotten for decades. However, the method has gained attention again for its use as a powerful tool from mathematical physics applied to the quantum mechanics, appearing in recent works. The method is specially suitable to the approach of cases where we have potential functions with even parity, because this implies in eigenfunctions with de ned parity, and since the domain of this transform ranges from 0 to ∞, it su ces that we nd the eigenfunction in the positive semi axis and, with the boundary conditions imposed over the eigenfunction at the origin plus the continuity (discontinuity) of the eigenfunction and its derivative, we make the odd, even or both parity extensions so we can get the eigenfunction along all the axis. Factoring the eigenfunction behavior at in nity and origin, we take the due care with the points that might bring us problems in the later steps of the solving process, thus we can manipulate the Schrödinger's Equation regardless of time, so that way we make it convenient to the application of Laplace transform. The Chapter 3 shows the methodology that must be followed in order to search for the solutions to each problem

This work presents results of art state that searched articles to bring in its wake the relationship between Teaching of Chemistry (TC), Environmental Education (EE) and the Teaching of Chemistry directed from the Science Technology and Society (STS) standpoint. The research was carried by articles surveying in major magazines Brazilian Environmental Education and a reference in the research magazine of Science Education, being performed a qualitative analysis of those items that were identified. It was noted that little is produced on the subject of interest within this field, in mid-1998 to June 2012. In the articles analyzed did not find a perspective that allied relationship STS and EE, or EE, STS and TC. Nine articles were found in relation EE and TC, and TC and three articles STS, constituting two thematic axes: Relationship between Environmental Education and the Teaching of Chemistry and Relationship between Science and Technology Society and Chemistry Teaching, The discussion was given from the contents that comprised the categories created. The first axis involved: a) Teacher of Chemistry and EA b) Contents of Chemistry and EE, and c) Concepts and practices of EE Chemistry teachers. The second axis of the categories are: a) formative processes and conceptions of chemistry teachers in STS: b) Analysis of TC practice focusing STS. There were works produced by the same authors, who mostly used the same theme in different magazines for publication only changing the perspective of analyzing the results. Finally, a scenario indicates that restricted thematic research and the need to advance with future work

Com base nos estudos das obras pictóricas e literárias do artista José Antônio da Silva, bem como de alguns lugares que marcaram sua história na cidade de São José do Rio Preto, foram identificados alguns pontos importantes que nos ajudam a compreender melhor a representatividade da figura desse artista para a cidade, principalmente em uma época de importantes mudanças socioeconômicas, no que diz respeito à modernidade “imposta” a partir da década de 1950. Os principais pontos identificados se concentram ao longo de um eixo, denominado no trabalho como Via Silva. A proposta do trabalho é conectar esses pontos, por meio de um percurso cultural urbano, transformando-os em paradas. O objetivo desse percurso, além de exibir a produção artística de José Antônio da Silva, é fazer ver, por meio da conexão física e simbólica entre esses pontos, a memória dos elementos formadores da cultura local, que por muito tempo e até hoje insistem em ser apagados ou esquecidos pela sociedade riopretense. Ou seja, é construir uma memória em movimento através de um percurso com paradas em lugares que dialogam com a pintura de Silva e com sua marcante passagem pela cidade - principalmente em uma época em que a cultura caipira se manifestava de maneira mais forte. Dentro desse percurso é proposto, além de intervenções e/ou diretrizes para cada ponto, o projeto da Midiateca José Antônio da Silva

This undergraduate thesis evaluates the effects of temperature variation of the air inside the CVT gearbox on the performance of a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The CVT used in the tests was manufactured by Gaged Engineering (GX9 model) and is currently used in a Baja prototype. It’s a mechanically operated CVT, which the movement of the pulley plates varies according to the drive shaft rotation, shifting the belt along the diameter, and varying the transmission ratio. The purpose of this work is to analyze the change in the slip factor, coefficient that compares the variation between the actual transmission ratio and the ratio of geometric transmission, and its correlation with the power variation. A test bench was built and some tests were performed, indicating that was possible to achieve output power ratios of 1.75 [ℎ

This work presents a study that aims to validate the fatigue analyses developed on finite element commercial software, ANSYS Workbench. It was based on mechanical tests development of traction and hardness, to verify the mechanical properties of material that the shaft was manufactured (ABNT 1045 steel), it was developed bend test, with purpose to prove the confiability degree of computational analyses, obtaining the maximum stress in a work condition determined with 40 [kgf] of load applied, and at the end, was developed the fatigue test to obtain the number of cycles that the transmission shaft can support in a work condition with 8 [kgf] of load applied. The results obtained during the work present, have to be quite satisfactory with the theoretically expected

This work aims to determine the first natural frequency of rotation shaft by using a basic software, Excel, and to compare it to the values obtained in laboratory. When an axle is submitted to a rotation, depending on the rotational frequency used, the axle can enter a state of resonance, in which the amplitude of vibration becomes rather high. The frequencies in which the resonance is observed depends on several parameters of the axle, including the number of concentrated masses associated to the axle. Thus, to obtain a computer program of easy use and access, which can preview the frequency of resonance of an axle in rotation with ‘n’ numbers of concentrated masses it has been studied how the frequency varies with each of these parameters. The computer program and the analyses have been made using the Rayleigh Method, which allowed the transformation of a continuous system to discrete through the theory of finite elements, which has proved that, the bigger the number of divisions of the shaft taken into consideration in the calculus of the natural frequency, the more this value gets close to the real value. The results obtained have been considered satisfactory once these have gotten close to the theoretical results expected

Along with the advance of technology, in terms of the expansion of medical exams that uses the ionizing radiation for diagnosis, there is also the concern about quality control for maintaining quality in radiographic imaging and for delivering low dose to the patient. Based on the Federal Order 453 of the Secretariat of Health Surveillance, which takes account of the practical and justification of individual medical exposures, the optimization of radiological protection, limitation of individual dose, and the prevention of accidents, were done through this paper radiodiagnostic tests on medical equipment in order to accept it or not, according to SVS-453. Along with the help and support of P&R Consulting and Medical Physics Marilia, SP, were made Quality Control and Radiometric Control in equipment from various cities across the state of São Paulo. The equipment discussed in this work is classified as conventional X-ray. According to the Federal Order SVS-453, the quality control in the program of quality assurance should include the following minimum set of constancy tests, with following minimum frequency: biennial tests for representative values of dose given to the patients of radiography and CT performed in the service; annual tests for accuracy of the indicator tube voltage (kVp), accuracy of exposure time, half-value layer, aligning the central axis of the beam of x-ray tube, performance (mGy / mA.min.m²), linearity of the rate of kerma on air with the mAs, reproducibility of the kerma on air rates, reproducibility of the automatic exposure, focal spot size, integrity of accessories and clothing for individual protection; semiannually for collimation system accuracy; weekly for temperature processing system and sensitometry processing system. Devido às características de uso e ocupação do território nas últimas duas décadas, marcadas pela substituição da heterogeneidade da paisagem camponesa pela monotonia dos mares verdes do agronegócio, o município de Flórida Paulista contempla elementos representativos para analisarmos algumas das resultantes entre a expansão da cana-de-açúcar e a produção de alimentos voltados ao abastecimento dos locais próximos. Com isso buscamos entender, com base no recorte eleito para estudo, o percurso do alimento no espaço, desde as pequenas propriedades camponesas que ainda resistem à imposição do formato único, até os diversos pontos de venda/aquisição de alimentos disponíveis na área urbana, além do CEASA de Presidente Prudente/SP, responsável pela distribuição da maior parte dos produtos alimentícios encontrados nas bancas do município. A expansão das áreas monocultoras encontra-se sintonizada aos imperativos da lógica do abastecimento alimentar referenciado no movimento do alimento no espaço, no qual áreas antes policultoras, produtoras de alimentos, são sobrepostas pela geometria monocultural dos canaviais, o que diminui as possibilidades de abastecimento local e reforça o discurso de que os alimentos devam ser garantidos a partir de sujeitos estranhos ao lugar. Alimentar ou ser alimentado, soberania ou segurança, poder de decisão que emana autonomia ou dependência, constituem o eixo central no debate aqui proposto, de modo a identificar, a partir do movimento que denuncia a lógica por detrás do alimento, atores e setores entre a terra e o alimento. O Ensino de Ciência do Sistema Terra constitui o eixo articulador de um programa, que integra ações educacionais e de investigação, tendo por objetivo central o desenvolvimento e aplicação de propostas educacionais que incorporam princípios da complexidade. O programa articula as ações educacionais no âmbito de uma investigação-ação. As ações são realizadas em contextos de educação formal e envolvem comunidades escolares da rede pública do município de São José do Rio Preto (SP, Brasil). Os trabalhos e as ações consideram as diretrizes curriculares e as políticas educativas vigentes e seus resultados revelam-se na construção de materiais e práticas polidisciplinares, que exploram as conexões existentes entre as diferentes áreas do conhecimento para ensinar os conteúdos curriculares, em prol de uma educação científica mais efetiva e pertinente. Os resultados, até então obtidos, revelam alguns contributos das ações educacionais e de investigação do programa que, ao potenciar e incentivar o trabalho colaborativo, o diálogo multidisciplinar e a reflexão crítica, favorecem o desenvolvimento de uma percepção mais acurada do significado e alcance da educação científica para a formação do indivíduo e das sociedades.

This paper describes the prepositions sob and sobre in the Functional Discourse Grammar framework (HENGEVELD; MACKENZIE, 2008) aiming at checking their lexical or grammatical status on the basis of classification criteria postulated by Keizer (2007). The following aspects point to their lexical status : (i) they consist of an Ascription Subact; (ii) they contain a specific content on the vertical axis signaling inferiority and superiority position in relation to a limit; (iii) they are not required by any predicate, but they are predicates by themselves, which require complementation by an argument playing Reference semantic function; (iv) they may be combined with de, em, para and por; which are genuine grammatical prepositions; and, finally, (v) they are not subjected to any phonological process of reduction and fusion.
