A contribuição marxista para o estudo das relações internacionais

The article examines the marxist contribution to the study of international relations stressing the historical dimension in the social groups and political economy as a fundamental variable. Thus, marxism provides resources to a comprehensive analysis of international relations, deconstructing the concept of state as is understood by the dominant theories in the area.

A reflection is offered on the complementary relations among documentary languages, terminology, and ontologies, in regard to the study of conceptual relations used to organize knowledge. Building on selected texts from the international literature, the relations between documentary languages and different emerging technology solutions are analyzed, taking SKOS as a model; and also the relations among thesauri, ontologies and terminology, with the support of the theoretical concept of documentary representation. The adoption of the principles of terminology, as understood in Information Science, in building ontologies is supported; and the innovative opportunities offered by ontologies to the improvement and processing of conceptual relations in indexing languages is defended.

Relações teóricas da organização do conhecimento com as abordagens de catalogação de assunto, indexação e análise documental: Uma análise de domínio da revista Scire (1995-2010)

Considering knowledge organization and representation as a theoretical line used by Information Science to face the subject approach to information, in a dialogical relation with subject cataloguing, indexing and analyse documentaire, this article carries out a domain-analysis of Scire journal (1995-2010) in order to identify the scientific production in the mentionned theoretical lines as well as their relationships. Scire constitutes an environment where members of the different paradigms have found an space to relate each other.
