Implantación de SAP R/3 en empresa comercial

El propósito del presente proyecto es el estudio de la implantación de un ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) en una empresa del sector comercial que se dedica a la venta de perfumes y tiene diferentes comercios repartidos por todo el territorio nacional. Con esta aplicación se quiere controlar en tiempo real el stock y las ventas, y por otro lado se quiere automatizar el proceso de implantación de campañas de marketing y que los comercios apliquen los mismos precios en determinado momento.

Context switching accounting mechanism

How many times a given process p preempts, either voluntarily or involuntarily, is an important threat to computer's processes throughput. Whenever running cpu-bound processes on a multi-core system without an actual system grid engine as commonly found on Grid Clusters, their performance and stability are directly related to their accurate implementation and the system reliability which is, to an extend, an important caveat most of the times so difficult to detect. Context Switching is time-consuming. Thus, if we could develop a tool capable of detecting it and gather data from every single performed Context Switch, we would beable to study this data and present some results that should pin-point at whatever their main cause could be.

Trabajo final de carrera .NET : protectora de animales

Para justificar el proyecto, durante la fase de elaboración del plan de trabajo, se examinaron diversas webs de sociedades protectoras de animales, haciendo un análisis exhaustivo de las que se consideraron más representativas. Tras la realización de un análisis de varios proyectos similares al que planteaba la propuesta del enunciado, se detectaron diversas deficiencias en las webs analizadas. Con el proyecto se ha conseguido como productos la aplicación web y los documentos de Planificación del Trabajo, Diseño y Análisis de Proyecto y los manuales entregados con la Implementación.La aplicación web ha resultado finalmente un producto amigable e intuitivo que cumple todos los requisitos expuestos en el enunciado así como todas las funcionalidades que se detallan a continuación en las síntesis de cada una de las fases de trabajo.

Route optimization and customization using real geographical data in Android mobile devices

Nowadays, there are several services and applications that allow users to locate and move to different tourist areas using a mobile device. These systems can be used either by internet or downloading an application in concrete places like a visitors centre. Although such applications are able to facilitate the location and the search for points of interest, in most cases, these services and applications do not meet the needs of each user. This paper aims to provide a solution by studying the main projects, services and applications, their routing algorithms and their treatment of the real geographical data in Android mobile devices, focusing on the data acquisition and treatment to improve the routing searches in off-line environments.

Open source software expectations in retail businesses of Igualada : an exploratory study

The emergence of open source software in the last years has become a common topic of study in different fields, from the most technical characteristics to the economical aspects. This paper examines the current status about the literature dealing with economics of open source and explores the uses, infrastructure and expectations of retail businesses and institutions of the town of Igualda about it. This qualitative case study finds out that the current equipment and level of uses of ICTs are low and that the current situation of the town stores is receptive to a potential introduction of open source software.

Preventive medicine for epidemic outbreaks and risky behavior through mobile devices and ubiquitous computing

In this work, we have developed the first free software for mobile devices with the Android operating system that can preventively mitigate the number of contagions of sexually transmitted infections (STI), associated with risk behavior. This software runs in two modes. The normal mode allows the user to see the alerts and nearby health centers. The second mode enables the service to work in the background. This software reports the health risks, as well as the location of different test centers.

QRP: An improved secure authentication method using QR codes

This paper presents the design and implementation of QRP, an open source proof-of-concept authentication system that uses a two-factorauthentication by combining a password and a camera-equipped mobile phone, acting as an authentication token. QRP is extremely secure asall the sensitive information stored and transmitted is encrypted, but it isalso an easy to use and cost-efficient solution. QRP is portable and can be used securely in untrusted computers. Finally, QRP is able to successfully authenticate even when the phone is offline.

Using free data mining software and clustering algorithms to find predictors from student qualifications

In this project a research both in finding predictors via clustering techniques and in reviewing the Data Mining free software is achieved. The research is based in a case of study, from where additionally to the KDD free software used by the scientific community; a new free tool for pre-processing the data is presented. The predictors are intended for the e-learning domain as the data from where these predictors have to be inferred are student qualifications from different e-learning environments. Through our case of study not only clustering algorithms are tested but also additional goals are proposed.

Personalized touristic routes implementing semantic web on GIS

Nowadays, when a user is planning a touristic route is very difficult to find out which are the best places to visit. The user has to choose considering his/her preferences due to the great quantity of information it is possible to find in the web and taking into account it is necessary to do a selection, within small time because there is a limited time to do a trip. In Itiner@ project, we aim to implement Semantic Web technology combined with Geographic Information Systems in order to offer personalized touristic routes around a region based on user preferences and time situation. Using ontologies it is possible to link, structure, share data and obtain the result more suitable for user's preferences and actual situation with less time and more precisely than without ontologies. To achieve these objectives we propose a web page combining a GIS server and a touristic ontology. As a step further, we also study how to extend this technology on mobile devices due to the raising interest and technological progress of these devices and location-based services, which allows the user to have all the route information on the hand when he/she does a touristic trip. We design a little application in order to apply the combination of GIS and Semantic Web in a mobile device.

Síntesi, caracterització i aplicació de membranes catalítiques amb nanopartícules de pal·ladi

Les nanopartícules metàl·liques són catalitzadors molt efectius degut a la seva elevada àrea superficial específica. No obstant, degut a la seva gran tendència a l’agregació, sovint és necessària la seva immobilització sobre suports per tal de dur a terme aplicacions específiques. La immobilització de les nanopartícules dins d’una matriu polimèrica ha demostrat ser una bona metodologia per a aquest propòsit, doncs permet l’estabilització i protecció de les partícules, així com la recuperació del catalitzador. Mitjançant la incorporació de nanopartícules metàl·liques a membranes polimèriques es poden obtenir materials nanocomposites molt efectius, que podrien combinar la capacitat catalítica dels nanomaterials amb l’efectivitat dels processos de membrana en un sol pas. L’objectiu a llarg termini és l’obtenció de membranes catalítiques actives capaces de realitzar simultàniament la separació i la destrucció de contaminants presents en solució. Concretament, en aquest treball s’han desenvolupat membranes polimèriques de Poliètersulfona amb grup Cardo modificada amb grups sulfònics per tal de sintetitzar nanopartícules de Pd mitjançant la tècnica de la Síntesi Intermatricial. Tant el polímer modificat com les membranes i el nanocomposite obtingut han estat caracteritzats i l’eficiència catalítica s’ha avaluat monitoritzant la reducció catalítica del 4-nitrofenol en presència de NaBH4.

APLICACIÓ DE REPRESENTACIÓ GRÀFICA DE GRAFS DE MOBILITAT

Aquest Treball Final de Carrera (TFC) s'emmarca dins dels sistemes d'informació geogràfica (SIG). Per apropar-se al món dels SIG, aquest treball s'estructura en dues parts: una primera part teòrica, on s'ofereix informació general sobre els SIG, la cartografia i l'entorn de programari GeoMedia professional 6.1, i una segona part pràctica, on es mostra el desenvolupament d'una aplicació concreta basada en programari SIG.

Catalogador de música MP3 y reproductor de música vía Web con búsquedas de música basadas en la definición de unas observaciones y emociones personales

El principal objetivo del proyecto es romper las fronteras de las búsquedas de canciones en las discotecas de los usuarios domésticos guardadas en los discos duros de sus PC's. Se pretende buscar canciones en base a unas observaciones personales (amigos, lugares, comentarios...) que habrán sido definidas previamente por el usuario, y el segundo tipo buscará canciones en base a las "emociones personales" que también serán definidas por el usuario.Como objetivos secundarios se plantea organizar automáticamente los archivos de audio MP3 almacenados en los ordenadores personales, reproducir los archivos de audio MP3 mediante streaming, un servicio que buscará enlaces web que contengan información/noticias de artistasálbumes, etc., y una agenda musical en la cual los usuarios podrán programar el aviso de observaciones personales

Aplicación de gestión de ficheros de configuración de Asterisk : Conexión de Asterisk con Google App corportativo

El objetivo de este trabajo es desarrollar una aplicación web que sirva de gestión de los aparatos conectados a la centralita Asterisk y generar los ficheros de configuración, tanto para los terminales como para el correcto funcionamiento de la centralita. Además, se instalará un servidor que conecte centralita y Google Apps para que los usuarios puedan usar el videochat de Gmail como softphone, permitiéndoles enviar y recibir llamadas a través de la centralita de la universidad en cualquier parte del mundo.
