Efeito das dimensões dos corpos de prova na resistência à flexão de compósitos restauradores

The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of specimen size, in comparison with the ISO Standard, on the three point flexural strength of resin composite restorative materials Filtek Supreme and Filtek Z-250. Forty specimens were fabricated for each material with the following length, width and thickness measurements (n = 10): 1) 20 × 2 × 2 mm (ISO 4049); 2) 10 × 2 × 1 mm; 3) 10 × 1 × 1 mm; 4) 8 × 0.8 × 0.8 mm. The composites were inserted in a single increment into two-piece metal device and light-polymerized. The specimens were dry stored at 37 ± 1 °C and protected from light for 7 days. After this period, flexural strength was measured by three-point flexure test using MTS 810 equipment, with a load cell of 10 kN at a speed of 0.5 mm/min. For the evaluated sizes, the results showed significant variability (p = 0.00) with values when compared with the ISO Standard (116.700 MPa), being statistically higher for the test specimens measuring 10 × 1 × 1 mm (142.530 MPa), similar for those of 10  ×  2  ×  1  mm (115.815 MPa) and lower for those of 8 × 0.8 × 0.8 mm (86.650 MPa). There was statistical equality (p = 0.08) for the studied composites (Filtek Supreme, 125.270 MPa; Filtek Z-250, 108.130 MPa). Specimens measuring 10 × 2 × 1 mm provided flexural strength values equivalent to those obtained in the sizes recommended by the ISO 4049 standard, with lower consumption of material, energy and time.

As a hybrid genre, the narrative of Carlo Levi is an objective account and subjective elaboration that are equalized in a literary form. Written between 1943 and 1944, the book evokes with an atmosphere of memoir the period of 1935 and 1936, the writer’s exile. The film based on the narration fragmentizes the daily life of the problematic region and highlights the truth aimed by the discourses composed in times of crises, reinforced by action and expression without provincialism and also without a compensating aristocratic pose. It is possible to see some incapacity of the film by Rosi, natural to a certain degree, to translate the synthesis of literary treatment and socio-historical reflection. For this reason it is necessary to read the adaptation as an attitude about the literary matter and the result of historical experience. Caracterização e aceitabilidade de tomate seco

In this work evaluated the content of vitamin C and total carotenoid in tomatoes fresh and dehydrated for conserve, with posterior immersion in sauce, verifying its sensorial acceptability. Dehydration was performed in dryer with airflow at 70 °C to obtain a product with final moisture of 45%. Determinations were carried out ascorbic acid, soluble solids, acidity, sugars and carotenoid before and after the dehydration process. The dehydrated tomatoes had been immersed in three types of sauces (pepper sauce, oregano with parrot leaves sauce and garlic sauce) per 25 days. After this period, the dry tomatoes in conserve had been submitted to the sensorial analysis in the pate form, applying themselves preference test. Vias oblíquas da trasncendência: aspectos do idealismo em Augusto dos Anjos e Pedro Kilkerry

This essay analyzes the manifestations of the idealism of romantic orientation in the poetry of Augusto dos Anjos and Pedro Kilkerry, showing the points of contact between their oeuvres and demonstrating that many of the innovative aesthetic procedures of their poetry appear as a reaction to urgencies of an idealistic conception of poetry. Augusto dos Anjos and Pedro Kilkerry attest the anxiety of apprehension of connections with a super-sensible sphere in phenomenal reality. Although this takes a different form in each of the poets, it can refer to a common poetic ideal that transcends the concrete reality. To accomplish this, they use aesthetic procedures that modernize the language of the romantic sublime – Augusto dos Anjos uses a hybrid philosophical repertoire that marks his poetry with a tense and innovative prosaic language, and Pedro Kilkerry opts for the indirect representation, made by an evocative and metonymic language, that evidences the mystery of the transcendent ideal without deciphering it.
