Vivendo com HIV/AIDS: estudos da ocorrência de discrimição nos serviços de saúde

Introduction: The discrimination experienced by people with HIV / AIDS, not only by society but also by health professionals is one of the major problems observed relative the epidemic. Objective: To verify and to analyze the occurrence of discriminatory attitudes in the assistance to the health of people living with HIV/AIDS. Methods: It was a quantitative research was carried out with the participation of sixty-eight HIV-positive individuals from four Brazilian cities. The participants answered auto-administrate questionnaires that contained open and closed questions including the considered subject. Results: 41.2% of the total participants, HIV + people, said they had been discriminated against by health professionals. Among the discriminatory situations experienced by HIV patients, 34.2% nursing professionals were involved, in 34.2% dentists and in 31.6% doctors were involved. Those who have suffered discrimination, 78.6% said they had been discriminated against in public health service. Conclusion: The occurrence of discrimination in the assistance to the health of HIV-positive patients was high. The majority of discrimination situations occurred in the public health service. It is necessary the institution of strategies aiming at human attendance to these patients.

Our work aims to discuss the teaching of science in the context of informal education. Thus, we present and analyze the results of an initiative that we have made seeking to interest high school students to study sciences and technology. The Energy shows are activities which are presented in experimental demonstrations of science concepts to middle school students. After the show the students respond to a questionnaire which formed the basis for this study. The results indicate that the achievement of shows have had an impact on students.

Adoption of lean thinking practices at Brazilian auto part companies

The objective of this study is to analyze the adoption of lean thinking practices at Brazilian auto part companies. For such, a survey was conducted at 75 sector companies. The results reveal that among all practices, the “systematic search for continuous improvement" obtained the highest implementation average. In terms of correlation, interdependence was observed among all Lean Manufacturing variables, most especially between LM5 (Kanban) and LM6 (Just-in-Time). This correlation can be explained by the importance of Kanban systems when implementing Just-inTime.

Low adherence to physical exercise programs is a factor that contributes to the high rates of physical inactivity worldwide. In this sense, strategies to improve the affective responses during exercise are used to impact adherence, as the use of music and self-selected exercise intensity. Despite the benefits of these strategies, there are few studies involving the combination of both (self-selected intensity and music), especially in the elderly population. Thus, the aim of this study was to investigate the influence of music on performance, ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) and on affective and motivational responses of elderly during walking exercise with self-selected intensity. Eleven elderly performed walking sessions on an athletic track in three conditions: without music, with motivational music and with oudeterous music. RPE, mood states, motivation, affective responses, session RPE and attitudes related to the experience of exercise were evaluated. Results demonstrated that both motivational and oudeterous music improved affective responses and decreased RPE. However, only the motivational music condition showed an effect on distance walked, the only presenting a consistent increase in distance. Therefore, it is concluded that the use of music, particularly motivational music, besides increasing the distance walked, reduces RPE and increase pleasure of the elderly during the exercise. Such strategy, in addition to potentially impact adherence positively, can lead to greater benefits and physical adaptations related to the training in the long term

Antioxidantes informados nos rótulos dos óleos vegetais comestíveis

The study of antioxidant has a great interest to biochemistry and medicine, due to of used in the human body as inhibitor to free radical process, which can cause premature aging and degenerative diseases. Furthermore, antioxidant is widely used in food industry that i s used to prevent food deterioration, in fats and oils (autoxidation, known as rancidity). Thereby, the survey data labels of vegetable oils such as soybean one, corn one and sunflower one, it is very important, with this survey data label was possible to verify the antioxidants used on vegetable oils and describe their chemical structure, molecular formula, lethal dose and daily dose by review. Following this review, it was possible to create a website with in formation and description of antioxidants. This database has free access to the public, in order to help the population about these chemicals compounds, and help them to choose the more beneficial food to eat

O olhar de um discente sobre seu futuro docente: uma trajetória auto formativa

The writings of this paper refer to several personal experiences as well as the various conflicts in the initial educational formation, where I'm reflecting about the formation intentions of this course. I do an analysis and a reflection of the pedagogical practices developed during graduation in institutional spaces, as well as the understanding of the complex context and teaching actions intrinsic to this, that are what constitute the structural dimensions which is where the formative process happens. This study is a narrative of initial formation as autobiographical. Memories and experiences are analyzed along with undergraduate education, exposing structural problems of course requiring a deeper analysis. In addition to analyse critically the institutional spaces of the (few) outreach programs, education and research that are the basis of the Brazilian University, the wellknown University quadripod. Under this perspective, the narrative brings the dichotomous design of the quadripod inside the University course, exposing the need to reflect on this fact, as it culminates in the formation of future teachers in physics. Nevertheless, the work seeks to raise awareness for the need for enhancement of teaching career at the University to address the teaching crisis which today proliferates in the educational institutions in Brazil, therefore it is necessary to the teachers to become aware of your profession and the vision as such. Only from this perspective one can discuss a proper teacher training, aiming at the integration of all activities, valuing all with the same importance

Dimensões formativas da prática da escrita na formação inicial

This research focuses on the practice of writing in the initial formation of teachers. My interest for this thematic arose from my participation in the extension project Formation Group: Dialog and Otherness and the extension course School: local for teacher formation, both coordinated by my supervisor. After all, I had the possibility of experimenting the exercise of writing and acknowledging the relevance of it in these contexts, in my condition of teacher-in-training. This thematic has involved me, which is why I conducted an autobiographical investigation. As data gathering tools, I used papers that I produced, as participant of the aforementioned extension project and extension course. Those papers were file records I made from the meetings, monthly papers produced from a thematic that was chosen by the graduating students that attended the extension project and, furthermore, I bring a self-assessments I developed inspired by the experiences I had in these two formative gaps. All these experiences provided pieces of my formative experience as a future teacher. The research aimed to understand which act of writing mobilized knowledge and triggered reflections in the aforementioned contexts, based on paper analysis, seeking to legitimate the importance of this practice in my formative process. Furthermore, a bibliographical research of qualitative nature was developed, achieved from the statement and analysis of articles located in the Annals of International Congress of (Auto) Biography Research (CIPA, in Portuguese acronym), from 2006 to 2012, and in the Annals of National Conference of Didactic and Teaching Techniques (ENDIPE, in Portuguese acronym), in the period from 2006 to 2012. Avaliação histológica e videolaparoscópica de ligaduras dos pedículos ovarianos realizados com mononáilon agulhado ou abraçadeiras auto-estáticas de náilon em cadelas submetidas à ovariossalpingohisterectomia pela técnica do gancho

A procriação excessiva de cães e gatos no ambiente urbano é um problema de saúde pública e de bem estar animal. Para se desenvolver campanhas de controle populacional necessita-se de protocolos cirúrgicos seguros, rápidos e de baixo custo. A abraçadeira auto-estática de náilon aparentemente se encaixa neste perfil. Objetivou-se avaliar por laparoscopia e histologia, a reação tecidual após a ligadura dos pedículos ovarianos com abraçadeira auto-estática ou mononáilon agulhado na ovariosalpingohisterectomia em 18 cadelas. Após 60 dias do procedimento cirúrgico não foi observada pela laparoscopia nenhuma aderência ou alteração macroscópica e a histologia dos fragmentos dos pedículos ovarianos demonstrou que a resposta tecidual não diferiu entre os métodos, revelando que a abraçadeira auto-estática pode ser usada como método de ligadura dos pedículos ovarianos de cadelas submetidas à ovariosalpingohisterectomia.

This article introduces the concepts of self-organization and autonomy as presented by the thought of Michel Debrun and Edgar Morin and their relationship to the development of a bioethical conscience by means of the school educational process. The proposal aims to contribute to the development of autonomy of students and thus be conducive to their self-organization as “responsible ethical subjects”.
