A presença das TIC no curso de licenciatura em matemática da UNESP - campus Guaratinguetá

This research shows an investigation on teaching formation in regards to the TICs. Our interest in this subject is due to the fact that new generations of students who attend school require that the classes make use of technology in the classroom environment. By following the phenomenological orientation we have carried out a study which involved a field research at the College of Engineering in Guaratinguetá using the graduate as well as senior students of the Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics of this university. We have analyzed the data under the light of texts of the following authors: Filho (2007), Valente (1993), Miskulin (2006), Borba and Penteado (2001) among others in order to understand the teacher`s formation process to act using technologies in the classroom and its relevance. The data that has been analyzed was obtained in interviews which were conducted with the students of this university. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed according to the rigor of phenomenological research procedures involving ideographic and nomothetic analysis. This analysis has led us to three open categories: 1) Mathematics learning through TICs; 2) Technologies that have been used; 3) Teacher`s role. By understanding the open categories we have been able to grasp that the students -future teachers- admit feeling capable of using technology in their classes, however their testimonies in regards to the TIC`s have led us to believe that there would be a reproduction of the content studied at their time at college without using further reflection upon the subject or autonomy in order to create new projects for teaching Mathmatics using these TICs

Identidades brasileiras: composições e recomposições

O livro integra a coleção “Desafios Contemporâneos”, cujo objetivo é apresentar e discutir temas de interesse da sociedade em linguagem acessível ao grande público, sem prejuízo do rigor científico. No caso desta obra, os vários autores lançam um olhar panorâmico sobre a questão da identidade nacional, de modo a contribuir para o debate sobre o que é o Brasil e quem são os brasileiros. O trabalho foi dividido em cinco núcleos temáticos: a questão racial, o corpo, a língua, a religião e a cultura. Os ensaios procuram sempre adotar uma perspectiva ampla, do ponto de vista temporal e temático, tendo como horizonte a compreensão dos desafios sociais, políticos, econômicos e culturais do Brasil contemporâneos. É feito ainda um amplo balanço das diferentes formas de entender a identidade nacional, a partir da confrontação dos principais pensadores que se dedicaram ao assunto ao longo da história, e uma análise do estado atual das pesquisas sobre a identidade brasileira e os seus possíveis desdobramentos na área de ciências humanas do país.

This paper aims to honor the semiotician Ignacio Assis Silva printed by the intensity in all his activities, emphasizing mainly on the accuracy insightful essays, which made him not only one of the most important promoters of semiotics greimasian in Brazil, but one of those responsible for its development. It should be noted also that he served with dedication in the Postgraduate Program in Literary Studies FCL/Araraquara UNESP, including efforts since its founding. The program owes much to him and others of FCL semioticians for the healthy integration between programs, Linguistics/Portuguese Language and Literary Studies. The latter was even initially, a literature program focusing on semiotics greimasian. Join together with all his persistent interest in building a "theory of language", which deeply and tenaciously pursued in their classes and in their texts and can be detected in Figurativização e metamorfose: o mito de Narciso (1995).

Hibridismo cultural: o imaginário europeu na construção da sexualidade feminina do primeiro século de colonização brasileira

The aim of this study is to investigate and analyze the conceptions of sexuality and female sexual behavior and conduct, formed from the merger of information and securities purchased under the eyes, rules and guidelines established relations with the Holy Office during his visit to Inquisitorial Brazil in the late sixteenth century. It is a survey of historical methodology in which we used as the exploratory research and literature. In the sixteenth century the Church increases the pressure to change the sexual mores that were free in the Middle Ages, a fact which influences the rules and regulations that are adopted by the Holy Office regarding the person's sex life. The first structure was based on Brazilian sexual alliance between Indians and settlers, which led to sugar, by the Portuguese, the customs of the land, which included sexual practices free since the Indians were out of Christian influence. Supported by the absence of white women, the settlers took them wives of the earth, usually more than one, creating conflict with the Jesuits who condemned Indian polygamy. In this context, in 1591, landed on Brazilian soil Heitor Furtado de Mendonca, and with it, the First Visitation of the Holy Office to investigate, arguing, exploring feelings and behaviors, to discover the true facts, finally, to demonstrate the errors Faith and punish them with the rigor of ecclesiastical law. His passing opens us to visualize traces of sexuality in the current "Tropic" a racist, misogynist world where black women and degraded land could be subject to the wishes of the white man, with whom he could mate at will. Guia prático de medicina baseada em evidências

Neste livro são expostos, para uso de profissionais da área, os princípios básicos e conceitos fundamentais, além dos procedimentos necessários para a prática da Medicina Baseada em Evidências (MBE). A MBE é uma prática relativamente nova, criada em 1992, pelo cientista epidemiologista Gordon Guyatt, na canadense McMaster University. Trata-se da utilização e do desenvolvimento de métodos rigorosos que respondam a questões clinicas sobre efetividade, eficiência e segurança de determinado tratamento e prevenção, bem como sobre a sensibilidade e especificidade de testes diagnósticos de certa doença na área de saúde. A MBE propõe realizar pesquisas de boa qualidade metodológica e livres de vieses e conflitos de interesse, de forma que as respostas sejam adequadas para auxiliar na tomada de decisão clínica. Segundo a MBE, a melhor forma de saber se uma medicação específica é eficaz no tratamento de determinada doença é a revisão sistemática de ensaios clínicos randomizados, que mapeiam os estudos publicados e não publicados realizados mundialmente sobre o assunto. Tal revisão deve ainda contar com metodologia rigorosa que busque, por exemplo, explicar resultados contraditórios sobre a mesma questão e comparar estudos com diferentes amostras para detectar possível diferença estatística. De forma didática e detalhada, mas mantendo todo o rigor científico, esta obra tem caráter de manual. Ao longo dos capítulos, seus autores explicam conceitos e apresentam o passo a passo da utilização da MBE para os profissionais de saúde.
