Results of studies during Project of an international expedition onboard R/V Vladimir Parshin in September-October 2005 are presented. Intensive development of Bacillariophyceae and Dynophyceae was recorded in coastal waters of Bulgaria, Turkey, and in the Danube River delta during period of investigations. Increase in algae population was accompanied by rising of chlorophyll a concentration up to 2.0-5.5 µg/l. In the deep water region it did not exceed 0.5 µg/l. Phytoplankton growth rate in the surface water layer varied from 0.1 to 1.0 1/day. This parameter and NO2+NO3 concentration, as well as the silicon concentration were correlative, as was described by the Michaelis-Menten equation. Phytoplankton growth was affected by basic nutrients. Zooplankton grazing varied from 0.10 to 0.69 1/day and average values in different regions varied by 1.5 times. Microalgae size range is one of major factors of grazing regulation. Rate of phytoplankton consumption was decreasing with increasing the largest diatom Pseudosolenia calcar-avis impact on total biomass of nano- and microphytoplankton.

Haiti, conocida en la época colonial como 'la Perla de las Antillas', su economía se organizó entorno a la producción de azúcar que proveían a través de Francia al resto de Europa. De este modo 70de la producción de azúcar era consumido en Europa y más del 60del café. Con una lógica que perseguía obtener los máximos rindes, buscaron mano de obra esclava en el África Subsahariana, población que directamente reemplazó a la originaria. Así comienza a plantearse el desarrollo de un tipo de economía en Haiti, que traería graves consecuencias ambientales hasta la actualidad. Hoy es el país más pobre de América, con una esperanza de vida de alrededor de 60 años, y la tasa de analfabetismo del 52. Ubicado en un área tropical, es frecuente que sufra el impacto de las tormentas tropicales y ciclones que, como consecuencia de una tala desmedida de laforestación originaria, las inundaciones acentúan los problemas, a lo que se suman los problemas sanitarios inherentes a un nivel de vida con tantas carencias; y a la preponderancia de minifundios en el área rural, llevan a conformar un escenario de enorme vulnerabilidad. En el año 2010, una triste noticia pondría a Haïti en el centro de la escena mundial: el terremoto de marzo de ese año que afectara el área de Puerto Príncipe dejando alrededor de 300.000 muertos y más de un millón de damnificados. En la actualidad la presencia debarrios enteros viviendo en carpas en espacios públicos, son una expresión de la vigencia de dicho evento. Sin embargo, desde mediados de la década pasada tienen lugar proyectos que intentan territorializar una experiencia argentina de reconocido impacto en procura de atender las necesidades de la población con mayor vulnerabilidad que habita en los espacios rurales. Se trata del Programa Pro Huerta, que desde hace más de veinte años se desarrolla en Argentina y se propuso en el ámbito de este país desde la perspectiva de la cooperación internacional. De este modo, en distintos departamentos de Haiti con el trabajo en conjunto de diversos países ponen en marcha un proyecto social de seguridad alimentaria. La finalidad es el análisis de la territorialización de la experiencia Pro Huerta Haiti a partir del enfoque de cooperación internacional del cual Argentina participa junto con Canadá y Haiti. Entre los resultados y aportes de esta investigación, se pudo constatar que en Haïtí se fortalecen las redes sociales, la familia, el trabajo solidario, la salud y en conjunto contribuyen a fortalecer la soberanía alimentaria, en un país con grandes carencias y gran vulnerabilidad. Asimismo, es interesante resaltar que el modelo de Cooperación Sur-Sur que la Argentina desarrolla, desde una visión horizontal donde nuestro país camina junto a Haití y Canadá en el aprendizaje cotidiano del crecimiento conjunto, donde cada país tiene mucho por seguir aprendiendo
Relative abundance and isotopic composition of calcite, dolomite and siderite from ODP Leg 164 sites

Authigenic carbonate mineral distributions are compared to pore-water geochemical profiles and used to evaluate diagenesis within sedimentary sections containing gas hydrates on the Blake Ridge (Ocean Drilling Program Sites 994, 995, and 997). Carbonate mineral distributions reveal three distinct diagenetic zones. (1) Carbonate minerals in the upper 20 m are primarily biogenic and show no evidence of diagenesis. The d13C and d18O values of calcite within this zone reflects marine carbonate (~0 per mil Peedee belemnite [PDB]) formed in equilibrium with seawater. (2) Between 20 and 100 mbsf, calcite d13C values are distinctly negative (as low as -7.0 per mil), and authigenic dolomite is common (~2-40 wt%) with d13C values between -3.6 per mil and 13.7 per mil. (3) Below 100 mbsf, dolomite abundance decreases to trace amounts, and disseminated siderite becomes the pervasive (~2-30 wt%) authigenic carbonate. Both siderite textures and stable isotope values indicate direct precipitation from pore fluids rather than dolomite replacement. The d13C and d18O values of siderite vary from 5.0 per mil to 10.9 per mil and 2.9 per mil to 7.6 per mil, respectively. Comparisons between the d13C profiles of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) and pore-water concentration gradients, with the d13C and d18O values of authigenic carbonates, delineate a distinct depth zonation for authigenic carbonate mineral formation. Coincidence of the most negative d13CDIC values (<=-38 per mil) and negative d13C values of both calcite and dolomite, with pore-water alkalinity increases, sulfate depletion, and decreases in interstitial Ca2+ and Mg2+ concentrations at and below 20 mbsf, suggests that authigenic calcite and dolomite formation is initiated at the base of the sulfate reduction zone (~21 mbsf) and occurs down to ~100 mbsf. Siderite formation apparently occurs between 120 and 450 mbsf; within, and above, the gas hydrate-bearing section of the sediment column (~200-450 mbsf). Siderite d13C and d18O values are nearly uniform from their shallowest occurrence to the bottom of the sedimentary section. However, present-day pore-water d13CDIC values are only similar to siderite d13C values between ~100 and 450 mbsf. Furthermore, calculated equilibrium d18O values of siderite match the measured 18O values of siderite between 120 and 450 mbsf. This interval is characterized by high alkalinity (40-120 mM) and low Ca2+ and Mg2+ concentrations, conditions that are consistent with siderite formation.

This paper aims to problematize knowledge production in Physical Education (PE) from the Brazilian context. From a hermeneutic perspective, it questions the nature of its knowledge considering the difficulties arising from the objects/subjects diversity, methodological approaches and epistemological perspectives. From historic and controversial theory-practice relationship, it identifies some research problems of the area, since it is heiress of the Western dualism in its different aspects. We understand that overcoming the epistemological classical notion places us before other types of research and knowledge validation. It also recognizes that the autonomy enjoyed by science is a concession of a Democratic and Republican Society (therefore, it is always relative) and that it is constantly threatened by instrumental and political perspectives. With regards to intervention problems, we consider that they should occupy a prominent place inside research concerns, even if it means radicalize this interdisciplinary character of Physical Education. We concludes that in these disciplinary field boundaries, and with an effort to link them with pedagogical challenges, knowledge production can contribute to shape a Physical Education identity.

This presentation explains a dozen tools and paradigm shifts that teachers should apply in transformative ways to working with their students, how Web 2.0, tagging, and RSS are crucial to this process, and how teachers can develop their own personal learning networks to practice continuous lifelong learning and 'teacher autonomy' before applying these concepts to students.
