The pathogenecity of white spot syndrome virus (WSV) was studied experimentally with challenge exposure of two hundred shrimp with average weight 10 to 12 grams of Litopenaeus vannamei. The shrimp L. vannamei before introducing examined with IQ 2000 detection Kit for WSV. The Fenneropenaeus indicus that showed the clinical sign and PCR positive of white spot disease (WSD) was used the source of WSV. The challenge exposures were accomplished by feeding minced tissue of F. indicus for 24 hours. The result showed L. vannamei after three days revealed the clinical sign of WSV, the PCR examined was positive and all shrimp died after ten days. The shrimp that showed sign of disease were collected for histpathology in Davidson fixator and a part of samples preserved in Ethyl alcohol %75to %90 for PCR. The histopathology showed the effect of virus and cowdly type A inclusion body can see in all tissue except hepatopancreas. The PCR also indicate the virus infected the shrimp Litpeneaus vannamei after 3 days. The SOI and ROI determined the severity of infection and rate of infection in different tissue.

Nowadays, following was expanded shrimp breeding and culture; viral diseases have been main problem which threatened shrimp industry in the country. Therefore, shrimp samples were obtained from different stages of Litopenaeus vannmei life cycle (larval, post larval, juveniles, adults and broodstocks) based on clinical signs in the breeding center and shrimp farming from Bushehr, Khozestan and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces. Viral diseases were detected by PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction), histopathology and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) methods. Results of the PCR were indicated present white spot virus (WSV) in juveniles, sub adults and adults shrimp with medium intensity from three provinces, but it was not showed in larval and post larval stages. Histopathological sections were indicated hypertrophy and basophilic Cowdry type A formation in nucleus cells of gill, haematopoietic, lymphoid and epithelial's cuticles and intestinal tissues which was associated with small vacuoles increased in B cells of hepatopancreas tissue of infection shrimps. Transmission electronic microscopic studies were demonstrated that the length and diameter virus was detected, respectively, 300 ± 20 nm and 75 ± 5 nm. Considerable, results of the PCR were only displayed IHHNV in juvenile, adult and broodstock shrimps from breeding and farming center of Bushehr province. The main lesion pathology was formed eosinophilic Cowdry type A in nucleus cells of gill, haematopoietic, lymphoid and epithelial's cuticles and intestinal tissues. Whereas penaeid shrimps are lack specific immune system, hence, in the present study was used of marine alga (Lurensia snideria) collected from along costal Persian Gulf of Bushehr province for viral diseases were prevented. Powder alga extract were added with a ratio of 1 % to shrimp diet. Total haemocyte count (THC) and total protein plasma (TPP) were increased after 5 days of oral administration diets. When shrimps were infected by with spot virus experimentally, THC and TPP gradually were increased in both two groups (shrimps fed with diet containing alga extract and without alga extract) after 48h. Nevertheless; THC, TPP and survival of shrimp fed with diet containing alga extract were more than shrimp control in 15 days. So, oral administration Lurensia snideria extract was capable prevention infected L. vannamei via stimulant specific immune system.

Aquaculture, is perceived as having the greatest potential to meet the growing demand for aquatic food. Crustaceans form one of the main value added components in aquaculture and among them, shrimp aquaculture is the predominant one. Industrial shrimp fanning, in combination with poor management in shrimp aquaculture, has quickly led to severe pollution in shrimp ponds, thereby creating a suitable environment for development of bacterial and virus diseases. White spot disease is one of the most deadly diseases that are caused heavy loss in all Penaeid shrimps family. In Iran during 2002 to 2004 in the Kuzestan province and in 2005 in Bushehr province, the most ponds and farms infected with white spot and the entire industry was facing threat of closure. Owing to the impact of WSSV infection to shrimp aquaculture, there is an urgent need to develop suitable strategies to protect cultured shrimps and make aquaculture more sustainable. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the possibility of protecting shrimp against white spot syndrome virus using bioencapsulated Anemia with E. coil containing the recombinant protein VP28, designed. Virus genome was extracted from naturally infected Litopenaeus vannamei in the Choebdch farms and VP28 gene by designed primers was amplified, extracted, purified and cloned in E. coli TGI. Protein expression evaluated and inactivated bacteria containing recombinant protein encapsulated in Artemia nauplii. White shrimp post larvae stage 5 were fed for 5 days with recombinant nauplii and twice on days 7 and 25 after feeding with Artemia nauplii were challenged with white spot virus. The results of the first experiment revealed that cumulative mortality percent in the group receiving the bacteria containing recombinant plasmid (pMal + VP28) was %14.44±1.11 and the relative percent survival %80.30±1.51. In this group the mortality rates in the various repetitions varied from the 13.33% to 16.66% and relative percent survival of 77.27% to 81.81%. in the Non-recombinant plasmid group (pMal) Mean percent mortality was% 33.33±3.84 and the Relative Percent Survival %54.54±5.24 and in the group that received bacteria contained no recombinant plasmid the Mean cumulative mortality percent was%48.88 ± 5.87 and Relative Percent Survival%33.33± 8.01.

This Ph.D. thesis contains 4 essays in mathematical finance with a focus on pricing Asian option (Chapter 4), pricing futures and futures option (Chapter 5 and Chapter 6) and time dependent volatility in futures option (Chapter 7). In Chapter 4, the applicability of the Albrecher et al.(2005)'s comonotonicity approach was investigated in the context of various benchmark models for equities and com- modities. Instead of classical Levy models as in Albrecher et al.(2005), the focus is the Heston stochastic volatility model, the constant elasticity of variance (CEV) model and the Schwartz (1997) two-factor model. It is shown that the method delivers rather tight upper bounds for the prices of Asian Options in these models and as a by-product delivers super-hedging strategies which can be easily implemented. In Chapter 5, two types of three-factor models were studied to give the value of com- modities futures contracts, which allow volatility to be stochastic. Both these two models have closed-form solutions for futures contracts price. However, it is shown that Model 2 is better than Model 1 theoretically and also performs very well empiri- cally. Moreover, Model 2 can easily be implemented in practice. In comparison to the Schwartz (1997) two-factor model, it is shown that Model 2 has its unique advantages; hence, it is also a good choice to price the value of commodity futures contracts. Fur- thermore, if these two models are used at the same time, a more accurate price for commodity futures contracts can be obtained in most situations. In Chapter 6, the applicability of the asymptotic approach developed in Fouque et al.(2000b) was investigated for pricing commodity futures options in a Schwartz (1997) multi-factor model, featuring both stochastic convenience yield and stochastic volatility. It is shown that the zero-order term in the expansion coincides with the Schwartz (1997) two-factor term, with averaged volatility, and an explicit expression for the first-order correction term is provided. With empirical data from the natural gas futures market, it is also demonstrated that a significantly better calibration can be achieved by using the correction term as compared to the standard Schwartz (1997) two-factor expression, at virtually no extra effort. In Chapter 7, a new pricing formula is derived for futures options in the Schwartz (1997) two-factor model with time dependent spot volatility. The pricing formula can also be used to find the result of the time dependent spot volatility with futures options prices in the market. Furthermore, the limitations of the method that is used to find the time dependent spot volatility will be explained, and it is also shown how to make sure of its accuracy.

The cercospora leaf spot, caused by Cercospora abelmoschi Ellis and Everhart, is quite common in okra culture. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of aqueous extracts of neem ( Azadirachta indica A. Juss), citronella ( Cymbopogon nardus (L.) Rendle), eucalyptus ( Eucalyptus grandis L.), ecolife®, A. indica oil and fungicide cercobin 700 PM® in control of cercospora leaf spot on okra in greenhouse. The extracts and neem oil were tested in concentration 10%, the fungicide cercobin 700PM® in dose 2.5 g.l-1, applied 10 days after pathogen inoculation by leaf spray and the citric biomass extract ecolife® in concentration 5.0 ml.l-1, applied 10 days before pathogen inoculation. All treatments, except ecolife®, were effective in controlling cercospora leaf spot and may be recommended as alternatives in agroecological systems.

The principle of legality has evolved into a clear and entrenchedjurisprudential mechanism for protecting common law rights and freedoms. It operates as a shield to preserve the scope of application of fundamental rights and fre edoms. In recent years it has been increasingly applied by the courts to limit the scope of legislative provisions which potentially impinge on human rights and fundamental freedoms. Yet there is one domain where the principle of legality is conspicuously absent: sentencing. Ostensibly, this is paradoxical. Sentencing is the realm where the legalsystem operates in its most coercive manner against individuals. In thisarticle, we argue that logically the principle of legality has an importantrole in the sentencing system given the incursions by criminal sanctionsinto a number of basic rights, including the right to liberty, the freedom ofassociation and the deprivation of property. By way of illustration, we setout how the principle of legality should apply to the interpretation of keystatutory provisions. To this end, we argue that the objectives of generaldeterrence and specifi c deterrence should have less impact in sentencing. It is also suggested that judges should be more reluctant to send offenders with dependants to terms of imprisonment. Injecting the principle of legality into sentencing law and practice would result in the reduction in severity of a large number of sanctions, thereby reducing the frequency and extent to which the fundamental rights of offenders are violated. The methodology set out in this article can be applied to alter the operation of a number of legislative sentencing objectives and rules.

Linkages between oil and 25 other commodity prices are examined using annual data for 1900 to 2011. We identify long-run relationships using both linear and nonlinear ARDL models and capture short-run causalities through asymmetric Granger causality tests. Nonlinearity can't be rejected for the relationship between oil and most other commodity prices. Long-run positive impacts of oil price increases are found for 20 commodities and short-run negative impacts for 13 commodity prices. Oil prices don't have much impact on beverage or cereal prices once endogeneity is accounted for, but they have substantial impact on metal prices.

The divide between the public realm and the private realm is a both a moveable and permeable boundary. One of the reasons for this fluidity as to what constitutes these two realms is driven by different political postures. From a neoliberal position, the private—be that private industry, the individual self, the engines of the economy—is better able to produce the Benthamite characterisation of happiness for the greatest number. In contrast, from a socialist to social democratic position, an expanded public disbursement of commonwealth is seen to produce a more equitable, just, and ultimately happy society. Somewhere between these two extremes is a regulated marketplace which more or less describes the organisation of most Western polities. This paper investigates a relatively new form of public activism that, in a sense, emerges from a cultural condition of the ascendancy of the privatisation of politics and culture. Commodity activism, as it is now called by researchers, begins with a politics of the marketplace and turns it into a normative position or posture related to the public sphere. This kind of politics has emerged from consumer movements that have a long history of turning the private into the domain of the public through boycotts, forms of usually negative publicity, and an active engagement of appropriating the key identity of “privatisation,” which is that of the consumer, and re-politicising it into something akin to a form of active citizen. The paper is a study of this changing of the private into the public and how this process relies on the concept of endorsement—particularly high-profile celebrity figures who have gained their power as individuals in this privatised space and now use that form of power for other purposes—in order to gain attention and circulation in this now privatised public sphere.
