Por muito tempo o quadro de escrever ou quadro de giz foi o referencial de uma educação tradicional, cuja sua função era apenas demonstrar e simbolizar os conhecimentos docentes, uma vez que ao professor perpetuava a condição de detentor do saber e transmissor de todo conhecimento que possuía, sem ao menos refletir a importância e significados do uso do quadro em função a construção coletiva do conhecimento intermediado pelo quadro de escrever. Para desmistificar esses pressupostos foi a proposta desse estudo, uma vez que se buscou compreender quais aspectos relevantes e diferenciados que os formadores de professores de matemática atribuem ao uso do quadro. Ao mesmo tempo em que precisam atender as perspectivas do século XXI. Numa investigação focal procuramos identificar junto as narrativas de constituição dos formadores influências pessoais e coletivas em relação ao magistério e a saberes desenvolvidos em relação ao uso do quadro. Visto que por várias vezes e em discursos diferentes o quadro foi lembrado como apenas “memória auxiliar” da construção do raciocínio matemático. As discussões aqui realizadas foram acerca baseadas em dados coletados através de questionário entrevistas, os quais tem como prioridades a formação docente e suas relações com o quadro de escrever. Além da relevância do quadro de escrever no ensino da matemática e na formação de professores críticos e mediadores de matemática.

This monograph seeks to provide an exposition and theoretical examination of Ciência da Carne (“Science of the Flesh”), a series of artworks in woodcut printing executed after research into the artistic aspects of Human Anatomy, done throughout the Graduate Course in Visual Arts at UNESP’s Art Institute. Traditional procedures of naturalistic representation of the human figure often adopt the scientific basis of Anatomy as a means of interpreting the surface contours of the body from its inside out. The historical connection between Anatomy and Art, however, is not merely accidental, for it is integral to the development of both disciplines, which find themselves deeply related in the human impulse for self-discovery and reinvention of its own likeness. The series of artworks collected in Ciência da Carne explores, through the particular graphical language provided by woodcut printing, abstract arrangements of isolated anatomical elements, at once removed from the context of traditional figurative representation and from the didactic goals of medical illustration.

In the early XX century scene, the poem writer Cecilia Meireles was the voice of the Portuguese Literature in Brazil. Probably as the writer´s fi rst husband, the Portuguese artist Fernando Dias, was in contact with the intellectuals from the Portuguese cultural universe, Cecilia certainly had access to Portuguese publishing before they were popular in Brazil. So, by printing, in 1944 the anthology Poetas novos de Portugal, by Dois Mundos Publishing house (directed by Jaime Cortesão), Cecília could spread the Portuguese poetry which had never been published in books in our country. As it has never been printed again, the anthology shows a detailed view about the Portuguese literature scene at that time. My work aims at looking thoroughly this volume, in order to understand the criteria used by Cecilia when selecting the authors and poems, in the light of such piece indicates certain understanding of the Portuguese Literature relations with Brazil.

The air part of the cassava is a residue which presents possibilities of being used as a non-wooden raw material in the production of pulp due to the fact that its 81 % of the adult plants air part, besides having high availability and presenting a high concentration of fibers. Studies were developed with the purpose of producing the pulps through the kraft process, which is a mix of the Na2S and NaOH in water heated up to the temperature of 160º C for about 90 minutes to the extraction of lignin. The paper sheets obtained in the practices went through an experimenting process. Studies related to the paper characteristics were accomplished in order to assess its use in the visual communication through printing techniques, silk screen, pictures and others graphical processes. The research results are able to conclude the utilization viability of this material in graphics communication.

The expressive possibilities within the field of surface design come up with increasingly larger with the emergence of technologies that allow the construction of forms and structures of high complexity such as three-dimensional printing. Establishing a relationship between design and complex systems, this work seeks to address the significant interrelationship of new paradigms of science, designed from concepts such as chaos, complexity and self-organization along with the cyber and parametric design, assuming thus the consequent impact of these in the creation and construction of process surfaces. Starting from the investigation of the applicability of the aforementioned conceptual bases, will be exemplified prospects of surface, produced in the first instance through computer interfaces, assigning the emergence of new creative processes and technology. Furthermore, elucidating biomimetics and its importance in the design of the design as a means of inspiration in complex systems of nature.

This article aims to present the Botuafrica Project and graphism generated by the stencil printing process. We will address the issue of valuing African-Brazilian aesthetics by producing symbols created by the participants of the project and fashion as a vehicle for social inclusion in the context of Botucatu Municipality of state of São Paulo. The study proposes a reflection on the work of professionals that contributed on practices of technical and concept development in order to promote the creation of local fashion and production. This research will verify the implications of act of drawing, printing and wearing the textiles designed by the participants of the project. Botucatu Institute collected and archived photos and drawings during the project between years 2010 and 2012 and provided this material for this research.
