Evidently, both the processes if had uncurled in historical, social, economic contexts and distinct politicians, but, exactly thus, keep some approaches that we intend to give prominence in the present article. For example, the popular mobilization in the two presented cases after occurred a long period of not attendance of social demands socials. In the same way, the processes of democratic renewal of both are related with historical landmarks “end of the Cold War” and the dismantlement of the Walfare State that introduced new rationalists in the relation between governing and governed dynamic, over all in the coinage and offer of public politics. How much to the dismantlement of the Welfare State, we present, still, that in the case of Spain it provoked consequences in the modus operandi of the formularization process and implementation of public politics. It occurred, in other words, a decentralization of its formulator power to decide arrangement of public politics that started to count on the participation of social actors in the called relational city (BECERRA, 2011). In the case of Brazil, the dictatorial period (1964-1985), the fast urban growth and the generation of precarious peripheries in the main cities, the distension and the Constituent (1986-1988) had generated the enough forces of pressure so that, gradually, if it incorporated the participative arrangement in the power to decide process. We identify that in both the cases, kept the had ratios, the instauration of a critical scene of suppression/absence of formulated public politics from an interface with the social movements were the propeller spring of the transformations in the power to decide mechanisms of formularization and implementation of public politics.

The text characterizes the reading of media-related materials by students of the public basic education system in the State of São Paulo, based on a systematic observation of the circulation of press texts within the school daily life. In a study carried out during two academic years with groups of students from fundamental and secondary education classes belonging to two different schools situated in the outskirts of a town in the interior of the state, the students' reports on their appropriation of media-based information obtained from a variety of sources were analyzed, with particular emphasis on written newspapers. During the period investigated individual and group interviews, as well as texts produced by the students, were taken as points of departure for the analysis. Among the aspects noted from the contact with communication media is the establishment of press information inside the school, albeit with fragmentary repercussions, not fully integrated into the pedagogical daily life, but somewhat circumstantial in the students' lives. The themes that receive more attention circulate through the television, mediated by family or peers, but not by teachers. A proposal for the analysis of these data is made, followed by concrete suggestions as to the treatment to be given to support material, texts and media-based issues at school, taking into account the resources available and the school context such as it appears nowadays.

The study included 916 students of both genders. Ages ranged from 10-19 years. 541 students (59.06%) carried the load backpack ranging from 10.02 to 33.43% of his body mass. Students with younger age, female students and those who opted for the backpack model designed dorsal attachment tended to carry a load higher than 10% of his body weight. 224 (24.45%) students complain of back pain and shoulder. Syphilis in pregnancy is a public health problem, responsible for the high intrauterine mortality rates. This article aims to present a review of historical and epidemiological aspects, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, the treatment of maternal and congenital syphilis, and its perinatal repercussions. The manuscript also describes the Brazilian main policies in public health care for pregnant women with syphilis and for congenital syphilis eradication. The set of words used were “congenital syphilis”, “syphilis in pregnancy” and “syphilis prenatal care”. The databases searched were PubMed (National Library of Medicine - USA), SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences), PAHO (Pan American Health Organization), IBECS, and WHOLIS Cochrane Library, from 1980 to 2011. Fifty-six articles were included in this review, 18 institutional technical manuals, two textbooks and 36 articles relating to maternal and congenital syphilis. The present review showed that there is a gap between intention and action needed to control and eradicate the disease especially with regard to the expansion of access, not only in relation to the number of visits recommended male gender, it is important to assess the quality of their content as well as the actions to be carried out between appointments.
