Testing color evaporation in photon-photon production of J/psi at CERN LEP II

The DELPHI Collaboration has recently reported the measurement of J/psi production in photon-photon collisions at CERN LEP II. These newly available data provide additional proof of the importance of colored c (c) over bar pairs for the production of charmonium, because these data can be explained only by considering resolved photon processes. We show here that the inclusion of color octet contributions to J/psi production in the framework of the color evaporation model is able to reproduce these data. In particular, the transverse-momentum distribution of the J/psi mesons is well described by this model.

Spontaneous breaking of the lepton number and invisible majoron in a 3-3-1 model

In this work we implement the spontaneous breaking of lepton number in version II of the 3-3-1 models and study their phenomenological consequences. The main result of this work is that our majoron is invisible even though it belongs to a triplet representation by the 3-3-1 symmetry.

Search for supersymmetry in di-photon final states at root s=1.96 TeV

We report results of a search for supersymmetry (SUSY) with gauge-mediated symmetry breaking in di-photon events collected by the do experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider in 2002-2006. In 1.1 fb(-1) of data, we find no significant excess beyond the background expected from the standard model and set the most stringent lower limits to date for a standard benchmark model on the lightest neutralino and chargino masses of 125 GeV and 229 GeV, respectively, at 95% confidence. Gauging U(1) symmetries and the number of right-handed neutrinos

In this Letter we consider that assuming: (a) that the only left-handed neutral fermions are the active neutrinos, (b) that B - L is a gauge symmetry, and (c) that the L assignment is restricted to the integer numbers, the anomaly cancellation imply that at least three right-handed neutrinos must be added to the minimal representation content of the electroweak standard model. However, two types of models arise: (i) the usual one where each of the three identical right-handed neutrinos has total lepton number L = 1: (ii) and the other one in which two of them carry L = 4 while the third one carries L = -5. Measurement of the Isolated Prompt Photon Production Cross Section in pp Collisions at root s=7 TeV

Search for large extra dimensions via single photon plus missing energy final states at root s=1.96 TeV

We report on a search for large extra dimensions in a data sample of approximately 1 fb(-1) of p (p) over bar collisions at root s=1.96 TeV. We investigate Kaluza-Klein graviton production with a photon and missing transverse energy in the final state. At the 95% C.L. we set limits on the fundamental mass scale M(D) from 884 to 778 GeV for two to eight extra dimensions.
