RPG e mídia: uma análise do caso Ouro Preto

This paper is intended to perform an analysis of the news published by the Website Ouropreto.com.br and the portals and Uai e Terra in news about the murder of the student Aline Silveira Soares and about its judgment. According with the news, the student's body was found in the cemetery of the church Nossa Senhora das Mercês e Misericórdia on 14th October 2001 in the city of Ouro Preto in Minas Gerais. The police and the media reverberated the hypothesis that Aline would had been killed during a Satanic ritual related to the RPG game(Role Playing Game) which is a game where players assume characters within a story. Our proposal is to analyze the coverage of vehicles of different ranges (local, regional and national) and evaluate how the case was shown focusing on its supposed relationship with the RPG game

Mapeamento geológico, caracterização litoquímica e potencial econômico do corpo de cromitito de Cedrolina, Santa Terezinha de Goiás - GO

Studies of mafic-ultramafic bodies have been carried out through the years due to their great use on the interpretation of geochemical and geotectonic processes that took place in Earth's history. Amongst them, chromitites are notably recognized for being excellent indicators of their parental magma chemistry and of different geotectonic environments, as well for frequently containing associated noble metals mineralization. Thus the investigation of one of this ultramafic bodies that occurs inside the Pilar de Goiás Greenstone Belt was proposed, resulting in a detailed map of the chromitites and country rocks, as well as innumerous new data on the chemistry of chromite and associated matrix and accessory minerals. These studies were based upon geological field observations, optic and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), besides electron microprobe and cathodoluminescence analysis performed at the “Eugen F. Stumpfl Laboratory” of the Montanuniversität Institute of Resource Mineralogy, University of Leoben - Leoben, Austria. The chromitites are composed of 40-70% in volume of chromite (~50% on average), 14-55% of talc (~30% on average), 3-60% of chromium rich chlorite (~20% on average), traces to 4% of iron hydroxides and traces to 3% of rutile (1,5% on average). The chromite occurs as large spherical aggregates or as fine grained subhedral crystals disseminated in the matrix. This aggregates have diameters of 0.3-1.5 cm (1 cm on average) and are extremely well rounded, massive to intensively fractured, and commonly deformed to ellipsoids. When observed under the microscope, these aggregates show well rounded to slightly irregular borders, but on their interiors, these structures are represented by fine to medium grained euhedral to subhedral chromite crystals that have sharp contacts between themselves. Telejornalismo na era digital: interatividade e acesso à informação

Este trabalho de Conclusão de Curso teve por finalidade investigar quais recursos interativos estarão disponíveis para o telejornalismo com a chegada da televisão digital e como esses recursos poderão ser usados como instrumentos para a ampliação do acesso à informação jornalística. Para tanto, foi feita uma reflexão sobre a produção de sentido e a prática discursiva, com ênfase nas alterações nos enunciados telejornalísticos no contexto da convergência midiática. Foram analisados dois telejornais, o “Jornal Globo News” e o “Jornal Hoje”, ambos da rede Globo. O referencial teórico-metodológico utilizado na leitura dos telejornais foi o da semiótica discursiva de linha francesa, com ênfase nas estratégias enunciativas dos conteúdos interativos, por considerar que estes referenciais sustentam o estudo dos processos de produção de sentido. O “Jornal Hoje” foi analisado enquanto produto que propõe nos conteúdos apresentados introduzir novas formas de relação de comunicação, privilegiando a perspectiva de interatividade por parte dos telespectadores. Isso porque os conteúdos remetem a audiência a interferir por meio de outra mídia, notadamente o computador, acessando o site do telejornal para poder participar. Assim, observa-se que se o conteúdo já se manifesta convergente, os suportes ainda não estão integrados, pelo menos nessa fase de transição. O “Jornal Globo News” foi analisado enquanto representante de um telejornal produzido e veiculado já na plataforma digital, o que não significa que possa ser considerado de imediato interativo. Foram ainda realizadas entrevistas com especialistas e pesquisadores da área temática da pesquisa, que contribuíram para o amadurecimento e crescimento da mesma. Os recursos publicitários como ferramenta de valorização do fazer-jornalístico: um estudo das capas da Revista Veja

This study focuses on an analysis of the convergence of Journalism and Publicity on the covers of the magazine. This paper aims to clarify how the dynamics of that relationship, understanding that in contemporary society, both Journalism and Publicity to perform the same function-to inform, differing only in the objective-journalism sells news, Publicity sells dream. The magazine Veja was chosen for this study because its importance and scope in publishing. Inspired by Time magazine, founded in 1922 by Henry Luce, Veja was the 2nd review of gender information in Brazil. Today a record run of more than 1 million copies, occupying the 3rd position in the ranking of news magazines sold over the world and the largest weekly magazine of the U.S. Among the media, the magazine is the most identified with the publicity, because as disseminator of advertising, the magazine has the advantage of being able to achieve precisely the widest range of public and the possibility of dealing with many different subjects; In addition, the number of people who have contact with the advertising is much greater because, on average, four people read each issue and is also common that the same reader review the revised more than once, which helps in setting the message advertising. This affinity between magazine and publicity is in its essence as both are prepared for the market, seek to promote, show themselves to be bought. Qual o papel da mídia na aprendizagem e desenvolvimento da criança de educação fundamental I, em idade de alfabetização: ela forma, informa, dificulta, diverte ou deseduca?

Este trabalho de conclusão de curso tem como objetivo analisar a mídia televisiva, no que diz respeito a seus interesses e programações, levando em consideração a conseqüente relação conflituosa entre esta e as crianças brasileiras, uma vez que a mídia não oferece programas de qualidade que respeitem a diversidade cultural. O trabalho analisa os conteúdos dos programas oferecidos pela mídia e compara-os com o que se propõem a Convenção da ONU realizada em 1989 Sobre os Diretos da Criança, no que diz respeito a mídia em geral. A partir de base teórica busca refletir sobre o impacto das mensagens dos programas de televisão na mente da criança e consequentemente afetando seu desenvolvimento cognitivo, moral e emocional. Sendo que percorrendo esse caminho de análise, procura-se mostrar uma possível reflexão e mudança através da educação para mídia e participação na mesma, envolvendo pais, professores, as políticas públicas e as próprias crianças.

It is through the media that information is transmitted, both educational or noneducational. Among the various forms of media there’s television, as one of the means of communication most used since the 50’s. Most of the time, television displays images and words to reach the target audience, something that is done in a simple, but often appealing way. Media is present in our daily lives and takes a significant educational role in the constitution of subjects. That is to say, the persuasive power of television is amazing, in order to influence children in their habits and their ways of thinking and acting. It was intended to discuss in this paper the influence of media on kindergarten children. Gêneros do discurso, ciência e mídia: a divulgação científica em questão

This work’s main purpose is to research how the scientific speech is outlined on the Revista Língua Portuguesa in statements made by linguists. Statements issued in the previously mentioned magazine have been analyzed. In order to achieve the proposal, the research was based on the following questions: how both the scientific and the scientific divulgation speeches are formed in the magazine, and whether the opinion texts written by scholars and researchers in the linguistic field identify themselves with opinion articles, scientific articles or scientific divulgation texts. Those questions were discussed from the theoretical-methodological bakhtinian perspective, taking the notion of dialogism, the human activity sphere, genres of discourse and style as conceptual elements. It has been detected that there is a complexity in the construction of the genres in the magazine, always taking into account the journalistic and scientific spheres of circulation. The analyzed statements presented themselves as a confluence of many genres’ characteristics, showing a point of view, a scientific subject, a researcher-author and a language adjustment to the magazine reader, making it more accessible. The analysis showed that the discussed statements resemble opinion articles, scientific articles, and reviews, besides being scientific divulgation at the same time

Aprendizagem do conteúdo esportivo de crianças do ensino fundamental: mídia ou escola

Sabe-se que crianças adquirem conhecimentos sobre o esporte, antes mesmo de ingressarem na escola ou de receberem informações sobre esse conteúdo de maneira sistematizada, em aulas de Educação Física. Este estudo analisou qual visão os alunos do ensino fundamental têm sobre o esporte e discutiu qual foi o meio responsável por esse conhecimento, a mídia ou a escola. Foram entrevistadas, através de um roteiro previamente elaborado, crianças da 3º e da 6º série do ensino fundamental de uma mesma escola. Os resultados foram apresentados de modo comparativo entre essas diferentes séries a fim de se obter uma discussão sobre a influência da mídia e da escola sobre o aprendizado do conteúdo esportivo.

Mudanças climáticas: o discurso da mídia sobre o aquecimento global

This research is aimed at discussing the ways in which social agents influence global warming, analyzing the discourse of social actors involved in the debate on climate change, since there is a wide divergence in the scientific community about how man is able to modify the climate on a global scale. In fact the debate that permeates the issues beyond the limits of science and enter into a political-economic framework that takes extraordinary proportions. This emphasis can be very unscientific in the fundamental design concepts, or even creating a trivialization of the media. The main way to convey these concepts is to disclose them in the media, but the media has enormous power to transform the concepts and often manipulate the news by creating a common sense goes against the interests of the scientific community. Thus was conducted extensive research in major newspapers and magazines that move in the country. We surveyed the first two papers which were: “Folha de S. Paulo” and “O Estado de S. Paulo”, during the period from January 2000 to December 2008, totaling 3285 units for the newspaper Folha and 2555 for the newspaper Estadão. Subsequently a survey was made of data published in two journals that move at the national level, and these are the magazines VEJA and ÉPOCA for the same period. By performing these steps, it was concluded that several factors involving the media and climate change, such as topic relevance, types of approaches, perspectives of analysis, the staff development, supplies, among other factors of utmost importance for building news. As a result we can say that the media in fulfilling its role of mediator scientific, disclosing only a vision that permeates the scientific debate. O modelo atômico de Bohr e as abordagens para seu ensino na escola média

The teaching of modern and contemporary Physics subjects in high school is indispensable and it was already justified by several researchers. Among the subjects which must be taught, there is, for instance, Bohr atomics model. However, as it was noticed in literature review, many didactic materials do not deal with this model adequately, since that they do not take into account Bohr ideas, which involved Planck studies on black-body radiation, Einsten theory for photoelectric effect, Rutherford experiences and atomics model and the empiric results upon the spectrums of chemical elements emission. From that, it is extremely important teaching through approaches which potentialize the learning of the model proposed by Niels Bohr. On the other hand, teachers from high schools cannot have clearness about which approaches can be applied for teaching the mentioned model. Thus, it is presented some possibilities for teaching Bohr atomics model, with examples and justifications for the use of each one. Special treatment was attributed to the teaching from Science History and Philosophy, from the reading of scientific diffusion and original scientific texts, from analogies, from comic strips and from computer simulations.

Coesão e coerência: discursos da linguística e da mídia

Esse trabalho analisa as refrações do discurso pedagógico que, em diálogo com outros discursos, como os da mídia e da linguística, reflete-os, além de ressignificá-los. Mais especificamente, trata-se da ressignificação que os discursos pedagógicos, postos em diálogo com os discursos da mídia, fazem de conceitos da lingüística; para essa análise tem-se como foco os conceitos de coesão e coerência, esses conceitos são critérios de avaliação dos textos. Quando retirados de suas enunciações e reutilizados nos dias de hoje, esses conceitos são ressignificados de forma a se adaptarem a novas enunciações. Como abordagem metodológica para a realização deste trabalho, tem-se uma análise qualitativa dialógica do livro de Thaís Nicoleti de Camargo, Redação linha a linha (2010) (corpus desse trabalho, que representa o discurso pedagógico). No diálogo proposto sobre os conceitos de coesão e coerência textuais pode-se perceber a ressignificação causada pela nova enunciação em que esses enunciados são reutilizados. Esse trabalho, por valer-se da análise do discurso bakhtiniana, estará sempre voltado ao conceito de diálogo, colocando os discursos em contato; partindo desse ponto, busca-se entender quais discursos dialogam com a produção do discurso pedagógico no livro analisado. Pode-se perceber, na análise dos conceitos de coesão e coerência textuais, que alguns discursos que dialogam com esses enunciados são os discursos de normatização e padronização. É possível dizer que a enunciação em que esses enunciados se produzem remete aos discursos do capitalismo, dos vestibulares, da atribuição de notas

O conflito ideológico no discurso sobre a maconha: uma abordagem dialógica de matérias impressas veiculadas na mídia brasileira

According to data published on the World Drug Report 2012 by Unodc - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime -, the world consumes nowadays the same amount of illicit drugs that it has always consumed. Contrary to this stable consumption, discussions surrounding the issue of drugs have intensified. The greatest controversies and the largest repercussion in the Brazilian media relate to marijuana use. This paper was developed in the context of polemic issues and its general goal is to analyze the conflict of ideologies present in the discourses about drugs on printed articles released by the Brazilian media, represented here by the magazines Veja, Carta Capital and Galileu. This study is carried out based on a dialogic approach, supported by the Bakhtinian researches on discourse
