Ansiedade nas avaliações escolares: uma abordagem psicoterapêutica sob estados modificados de consciência num grupo de alunos universitários

Fez-se um estudo sobre stress e ansiedade com alunos do ensino superior. O objectivo foi diminuir estes factores através da técnica Terapia por Reestruturação Vivencial e Cognitiva (TRVC) que consiste na indução do Estado Modificado de Consciência (EMC) através das técnicas de relaxamento e hipnose. O EMC facilita o acesso às memórias inconscientes. Procurou-se fazer a ligação do stress e ansiedade com os eventos traumáticos que estão na sua origem. A intervenção foi composta por duas TRVC; a amostra foi constituída por estudantes universitários portugueses da Universidade da Madeira (um grupo de 13 participantes, 10 femininos e 3 masculinos, com idades compreendidas entre 19 e 39 anos). No final da intervenção observaram-se mudanças positivas na maioria dos participantes.

George Day Welsh nas relações entre a Madeira e os Estados Unidos da América (primeira metade do século XIX)

Tendo este trabalho como objecto de estudo a personalidade do cidadão americano George Day Welsh, radicado na Madeira no início do século XIX, pretende-se caracterizar, ao longo desta dissertação, os elementos fundamentais das relações entre a Ilha da Madeira e os Estados Unidos da América, aos níveis político, económico, social e cultural, e apenas no período relativo à primeira metade do século XIX. Organizado em quatro partes fundamentais (onde não se incluem nem a apresentação inicial que se segue, nem os apêndices finais de documentos e de gravuras antigas), este estudo começa por, na primeira parte, descrever as relações de Portugal com a Inglaterra e, em particular, com os Estados Unidos da América, país de origem de George Day Welsh, não deixando também de documentar a ida de marinheiros assim como a presença de madeirenses nos Estados Unidos da América. Na segunda parte, começando a traçar o percurso biográfico de George Day Welsh, descrevem-se os seus negócios e as suas acções em alguns dos concelhos da Madeira, dando igualmente uma especial atenção ao período da Guerra Civil, às relações concorrenciais entre aquele cidadão americano e John Marsh, assim como ao papel cultural de George Welsh na Madeira. As relações familiares de Welsh na Madeira são o assunto da terceira parte, onde se focam as questões relacionados com a sua chegada à Ilha, o seu casamento, a sua descendência, e a sua proximidade em relação a outros madeirenses ilustres, como é o caso do Conde de Carvalhal. Na conclusão final desta dissertação, referem-se não só as ideias principais deste percurso de investigação como algumas pistas para aperfeiçoá-lo e completá-lo.

A Corrupção burocrática inibe o empreendedorismo? uma análise empírica dos estados brasileiros

This work aims to investigate the relationship between the entrepreneurship and the incidence of bureaucratic corruption in the states of Brazil and Federal District. The main hypothesis of this study is that the opening of a business in Brazilian states is negatively affected by the incidence of corruption. The theoretical reference is divided into Entrepreneurship and bureaucratic corruption, with an emphasis on materialistic perspective (objectivist) of entrepreneurship and the effects of bureaucratic corruption on entrepreneurial activity. By the regression method with panel data, we estimated the models with pooled data and fixed and random effects. To measure corruption, I used the General Index of Corruption for the Brazilian states (BOLL, 2010), and to represent entrepreneurship, firm entry per capita by state. Tests (Chow, Hausman and Breusch-Pagan) indicate that the random effects model is more appropriate, and the preliminary results indicate a positive impact of bureaucratic corruption on entrepreneurial activity, contradicting the hypothesis expected and found in previous articles to Brazil, and corroborating the proposition of Dreher and Gassebner (2011) that, in countries with high regulation, bureaucratic corruption can be grease in the wheels of entrepreneurship

Frequência da infecção por Toxoplasma gondii em galinhas caipira e frangos de corte em regiões dos Estados do Rio Grande do Norte e Paraíba

Toxoplasmosis is a zoonosis caused by Toxoplasma gondii, a protozoan that has a cosmopolitan geographic distribution and low host specificity. Usually a benign and selflimiting, infection can manifest itself in a severe systemic becoming overwhelming in fetuses and patients with immunosuppression. Domestic fowl are considered one of the most important hosts in the epidemiology of toxoplasmosis, since they are potential sources of infection for humans, in addition to playing the role of important indicators of environmental contamination by oocysts of T. gondii. We studied the prevalence of infection by the protozoan in chickens of different breeding systems mesoregions from the states of Rio Grande do Norte and Paraiba: broilers from commercial farms (200/PB) and free-range chickens of small farms (322/RN and PB). Were standardized IFAT and ELISA techniques for detecting specific antibodies in blood samples of birds, and commercial kit was used to determine the prevalence by IHAT. There was no seropositive reaction by T. gondii in the samples of broilers tested, indicating that the particularities of intensive management limit the chances of infection for these animals. Among the hens, the frequency of IgG anti-T. gondii diagnosed by the techniques of IHAT, IFAT and ELISA, respectively, were 3.73% (12/322), 37.88% (122/322) and 40.37% (130/322), for both young and adult animals. Amongst the seropositive samples by IFAT, 33 (27.05%) were positive at a dilution of 1:16, in 1:32, 31 (25.41%), in 1:64, 24 (19.67%), 15 (12.29%) in 1:128, and 19 presented titer greater than or equal to 1:256 (15.57%). The evaluation of the presence of anti-T. gondii should be careful, and reagents IHAT provided erratic results in this measure for the specie studied. This suggests the need for own standardization of the kit before the use in epidemiological studies in animal species. On the other hand, substantial agreement observed between IFAT and ELISA techniques (Kappa = 0.62) enables these methods as effective methodologies for the diagnosis of toxoplasmosis in chickens. This study has like main objective: Do cooperatives have knowledge and/or they pratice rudments of the cooperativist moviment?. Get some conclusions, the cooperatives of work come promoting a decline of the rudments of the cooperativism and they don t have a knowledge about the rudments of the cooperativism and they don t pratice the same ones, instead of, the ccoperative of production comes promoting the appearance of the self-management idealism which they know the rudments of thecooperativism and they pratice the same ones
