This work carried through an exploratory study with nine students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) that had passed for the scholarship in last the ten years and who were registered in the modality of Education for Young people and Adults (EYA). The objective was to identify the effect of the inclusive education, with regard to access and equity in education, in relation to the acquisition of reading, writing and calculation, having as reference the initial cycle of literacy. The research was developed with students aged between 16 and 46 years, in a city in interior of São Paulo (Brazil). About the participants, three were attended the Term I: (1ª and 2ª series), three the Term II (3ª e 4ª series) and three the Term III: (5ª series). An Instrument of Evaluation was elaborated, with specific questions of Portuguese language and mathematics. The study found that in the last ten years, of the investigated group, few students had frequented regular school and those who attended were for a short period of time. The great majority studied, in recent years, only in special school, against the current legislation of inclusive education policy in the Brazilian educational system. Although the students receive the classification of students with SEN, the scholar system demonstrate difficulties in taking care of these students in theirs specific demands of learning and remain, still, the necessity of adequate training of teachers to work in the inclusive schools and to attend the diversity present in the classroom.

Facing the mechanical model that dominated the schools from the end of the 19th century to the 1970s, new movements for the Physical Education emerged during the 1980s. These movements aimed at breaking up with the military concept of sport that reigned so far. This way we assign a historical period marked by significant transformations in Brazilian Physical Education, especially in school, and they are related to the raise of new school proposals, such as: the developmentist, the constructivist and the critical-overcomer. All this considered, the present paper aims at analyzing if these tendencies really influenced the pedagogical practice of a group of Physical Education teachers in public schools of Serra Negra, SP.

This paper developed a reflection about problems related to the establishment of ethical principles that guide the sexual education aiming at emancipation. Our theoretical framework is the Critical Theory of Society, in particular texts by T. W. Adorno on training, prejudice and education. It is understood that numerous difficulties are related to the achievement of an emancipatory education, and such difficulties are even greater when it comes to sex education since it is an issue that still raises irrational fears on educators, and is absent from the training they received. Following Adorno, it is understood that the current formation favors the development of subjects inclined to prejudice, and that an emancipatory sexual education involves a critique to the conditions under which such formation occurs and, at the same time, a continuous reflection about the relations between the desires and the social possibilities of their realization.

At present, the processes of medicalization of childhood have reached the school spaces where diagnostic labeling accompanied of prescription of psychotropic drugs proliferate. The present work aims to study through the Foucauldian genealogical approach, the process of medicalization of education, with a special attention to analysis of Brazilian bills which serve to the medicalization logics and to the study of resistance movements which emerged with the purpose of denouncing psychopathology-causing strategies. It is considered that the school spaces, subject to the disciplining processes and standardization of bodies, have gained through bills, new devices of support to the psychiatric discourses. These, by appropriating of the childhood considered problem, have spawned diagnoses and psychopharmacological drugs, process that has been faced by resistance movements identified with proposals for enhancement of the plurality of life.

O presente estudo tem como objetivos discutir a função da creche e da pré‐escola no contexto das políticas públicas para a educação infantil, bem como refletir sobre a formação necessária aos profissionais da educação infantil para alcançar uma melhor qualidade do atendimento. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de um formato de investigação caracterizado como estudo de caso etnográfico. Essa forma de pesquisa nos permitiu conhecer, em maior profundidade, a cultura de uma instituição e as perspectivas dos profissionais que participavam de seu cotidiano. Nesse sentido, realizamos observações sistemáticas da rotina institucional, bem como, entrevistas não‐ estruturadas e semi‐estruturadas com as educadoras que atuavam na creche e na pré‐escola. O estudo evidenciou distinções quanto à escolaridade, à jornada de trabalho das educadoras que atuavam na creche e na pré‐escola, bem como nos objetivos educacionais estabelecidos para essas modalidades de atendimento a infância. As concepções das educadoras acerca dos objetivos da Educação Infantil retratam uma visão compensatória e preventiva.

This study describes how adult and teacher-centered rationale, which has been ruling school relations for a long time, might be a threat to didactics and its methodologies, especially when it comes to teaching and learning package. The theoretical framework of this study is based on Dewey and Peirce pragmatic views, founding the languages analysis, which are interwoven in the content design. Some tasks from a 4th grade elementary school package sold nationally, related to Geography and Mathematics subjects were examined. It is possible to assert that the child real life learning experiences was poorly considered, which partly explains the lack of interest of most children in pedagogical-scientific discourses as they are presented on their books. As a possible answer regarding that issue, the encounter between teacher and learner subjectivities is proposed.

Population aging and environmental protection have gained special importance after the economic, demographic and social recent changes. The objective of this paper was to promote theoretical and reflective review with emphasis on convergence between sustainable development and educational activities promoted by the University of the Third Age. We conducted a literature review to give full articles from the descriptors: aged, sustainable development indicators and environmental protection, published in English, Spanish and Portuguese, between January 1994 and June 2014, in national and international journals on the basis LiIlacs, Bireme and Medline. We used systematic data collection for sample analysis. The results indicate that the University of the Third Age develops teaching, research and extension, through actions based on aging and educational assumptions. In this context, environmental education is presented as a pedagogical process capable of awakening the critical capacity of the elderly, making it active social worker and leading him to a cultural design which ensures establishment of sustainable harmonious relationship with nature. It was concluded that the University of the Third Age contributes to initiatives that emphasize the relationships between systems and economic processes or social and natural processes, generating the construction of social values, knowledge, skills, attitudes and skills aimed at the conservation of the environment.

The air part of the cassava plant is considered an agronomical residue due to the great volume produced in Brazil, the second biggest world producer of this plant. It is a residue which presents possibilities of being used as a non-wooden raw material in the production of pulp due to the fact that its stem and presenting a high concentration of fibers, which accounts for 30,18% in try weight. Under such considerations, this paper dealt with the aspects of the pulp obtaining process of this cassava agronomical residue for the production of special papers, with further assessment of its use in the visual communication.
