Eugenio de Ochoa (1815-1872). El hombre de letras en la España de Isabel II

El nombre de Eugenio de Ochoa siempre aparece en los libros sobre la cultura española del siglo XIX, aunque pocas veces con un papel protagonista. Su lugar en la historia de la literatura se halla asociado a otros personajes o a empresas periodísticas de importancia que son recordadas por los nombres de esos otros: El Artista, Federico Madrazo, Pedro Madrazo, Juan Eugenio Hartzenbusch, Victor Hugo, Balzac… Y así Ochoa es siempre el co-creador de una revista, el cuñado de, el amigo de, el traductor de, el editor de… Esta posición secundaria ha restado atractivo al estudio de un hombre que desempeñó un papel fundamental en la conexión de la cultura española con Europa, tanto por ser el vehículo por el que llegaron a España muchos autores contemporáneos como por llevar a cabo el recorrido contrario, mostrando al continente el patrimonio cultural nacional. Sin embargo, esa faceta de intermediario, y no la de literato, contemplada desde una perspectiva más centrada en el contexto y menos en el canon literario tradicional, ofrece unas posibilidades de análisis extremadamente interesantes. Además, la gran pluralidad de sus actividades le convirtió en su tiempo en un observador privilegiado de la realidad cultural y política del país. Ahí se halla el objetivo que ha guiado la realización de este trabajo. Por medio del estudio de su figura se ha pretendido llevar a cabo un análisis de la cultura española del siglo XIX, partiendo de un enfoque sociológico de la misma y prestando más atención a las prácticas en el campo literario que al contenido de la creación. Esa es la razón que explica que, metodológicamente, el trabajo se apoye en dos pilares, cada uno de los cuales sirve de soporte a las dos partes centrales del mismo: la reflexión acerca del “hombre de letras” en el reinado de Isabel II y el papel desempeñado por el mediador cultural en el proceso de transferencia de conocimientos e imágenes nacionales en la Europa del siglo XIX. Relatório no âmbito da unidade curricular prática de ensino supervisionada relativo ao ano letivo 2015/2016, na Escola Secundária/3 Rainha Santa Isabel, Estremoz

O presente relatório refere-se à Prática de Ensino Supervisionada incluída no Mestrado em Ensino de Português no 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e Ensino Secundário e de Espanhol dos Ensinos Básico e Secundário, que decorreu na Escola Secundária/3 Rainha Santa Isabel, em Estremoz. Conscientes da complexidade do processo de ensino-aprendizagem, tal como da parte central que os alunos ocupam no mesmo, este relatório faz uma reflexão crítica sobre algumas das áreas determinantes referentes ao processo de ensino-aprendizagem e sobre a Prática de Ensino Supervisionada realizada durante o ano letivo 2015/2016. O presente relatório foi produzido no âmbito da unidade curricular Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, que faz parte do Mestrado em Ensino do Português no 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e Ensino Secundário e de Espanhol nos Ensinos Básico e Secundário, sob a orientação da Professora Doutora Ângela Maria Franco Martins Coelho de Paiva Balça. Identifica-se, na sua essência basilar, como um trabalho reflexivo-descritivo sobre a prática aplicada e efetuada no ano letivo 2015/2016, no lecionamento das disciplinas de Português em duas turmas de 10º ano, e de Espanhol – Língua Estrangeira I numa de 7º ano, na Escola Secundária/3 Rainha Santa Isabel, de Estremoz. Além do mais, também constitui o expoente de todo o processo levado a cabo durante os dois anos do Mestrado, o qual permitiu e conduziu à revisão, modificação, inovação e progressão em matéria de conceitos, ideias, noções, ações e teorias, quer fossem mais antigas ou recentes. Este é o produto final e contributo para o desenvolvimento e melhoria a nível pessoal e profissional. Através do conhecimento da literatura teórica e da sua aplicação na ação, a reflexão compromete-nos a cumprir uma prática fundamentada e apoiada em toda a documentação mundial, europeia e portuguesa normativa e de referência para o exercício da profissão docente o mais completo e eficaz possível. Mais do que um relatório, é uma avaliação orientativa da dimensão transformadora no desempenho docente que, na sua parte mais cogitativa, expõe estruturalmente: a observação e o seu registo; a observação em contexto; a planificação; a orientação; a componente letiva – aulas lecionadas (análise, aprendizagem e melhorias) e a pesquisa reflexiva na abordagem dos inquéritos passados nas turmas de Português e de Espanhol; e, por fim, a abordagem reflexiva sobre a avaliação formativa das aprendizagens realizada às turmas de 10º ano, na disciplina de Português; ABSTRACT: This report was produced in the scope of Supervised Teaching Practice’s curricular unit, which is part of the Master’s Degree in Teaching Portuguese for the 3rd stage of Primary Education and Secondary Education, and Spanish Foreign Language Teaching for Primary and Secondary Education, under the supervision of Dr. Ângela Maria Franco Martins Coelho de Paiva Balça. In its basic essence, this is a reflective and descriptive paper about practices applied and performed for the 2015-2016 school year to teach Portuguese, in two tenth grade classes, and Spanish as a Foreign Language, in one seventh grade class at Rainha Santa Isabel School of Estremoz. Furthermore, it outlines the entire process carried out during the two years of the Master’s Degree, which provided and led to review, change, breakthrough, and advancement regarding concepts, ideas, assumptions, and theories, whether they were pre-existing or more recent. This is the final product and the contribution towards development and improvement in personal and professional terms. Through knowledge of theoretical literature and applying it to practice, the reflection leads us to compile substantiated and supported practice in all worldwide, European, and Portuguese standards and reference documentation for the most effective pursuit of the profession. More than a report, this is an evaluation of transformation in teaching performance that structurally examines the following: observation and its registration; observation in the field; lesson design; guidance and monitoring; a teaching component (analysis, apprenticeships, and improvements) with a reflective element based on the results of the Portuguese and Spanish class surveys; and, finally, a reflexive approach about formative assessment of student learning that took place within the Portuguese course.

María Isabel, el feminicidio con rostro adolescente en Guatemala

 Resumen El autor ilustra este ensayo con el caso Véliz Franco (Guatemala, diciembre de 2001), el cual descarna la brutalidad de la agresión, la escasa información académica y forense sobre el feminicidio adolescente y la inercia estatal por hallar a los responsables de esta manifestación de homicidio. De igual manera, resalta el papel de las organizaciones no gubernamentales ante la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH), en especial la necesidad de contrarrestar la impunidad generalizada en el caso de los y las adolescentes. En la audiencia 12.578, la abogada y experta guatemalteca Claudia Paz saca a relucir las debilidades de la investigación e identifica las fallas elementales del Estado guatemalteco al delimitar la escena del crimen y las piezas de la evidencia. Palabras clave: adolescente, femicidio, feminicidio, impunidad, Guatemala. Abstract The author illustrates this essay with the Véliz Franco’s case (Guatemala, December 2001), which narrates the brutality of the aggression, the lack of information on the feminicide towards teenagers and the state inertia to seek the perpetrators of such crimes. The article also highlights the role of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) before the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights, especially on the need to combat the generalized impunity in cases of murders of teenagers. In the audience 12.578 the Guatemalan lawyer and expert, Claudia Paz, brings up the weaknesses of the investigation and identifies the core failures of the state to specify the crime scene and the pieces of evidence.  Keywords: adolescent, femicide, feminicide, impunity, Guatemala.  

Qualificação das ações de atenção à saúde do idoso na Unidade de Ilha Grande de Santa Isabel, em Parnaíba, PI

A melhoria da atenção à Saúde do Idoso é de grande importância para observar e acompanhar a incidência de doenças crônicas tão prevalentes nessa faixa etária, além de identificar precocemente transtornos que podem afetar a saúde dessa população e assegurar a qualidade de vida. Este trabalho teve como objetivo qualificar as ações de atenção à saúde do idoso na Unidade de Saúde de Ilha Grande de Santa Isabel, em Parnaíba/ PI. Constitui o relato de uma intervenção de 12 semanas com ações desenvolvidas em quatro eixos de trabalho: organização e gestão do serviço, monitoramento e avaliação das ações, qualificação da prática clínica e engajamento público. Após os três meses, houve a avaliação do período com a qualificação e reordenamento das ações para incorporação das mesmas na rotina da unidade. Nos 90 dias de trabalho foi possível alcançar uma cobertura de 55% dos idosos estimados para a área (178 de 320). A qualificação do programa resultou, também, na melhoria dos registros na unidade, e refletiu numa melhoria geral das demais ações programáticas. Para o serviço e para a comunidade, este trabalho trouxe resultados positivos: melhora nos atendimentos, qualificação dos profissionais, atividades educativas realizadas por todos os profissionais, além de um atendimento mais humanizado e integral, resultando num melhor cuidado à população como um todo, e não apenas atendimento às suas demandas clínicas. As ações propostas durante a intervenção foram incorporadas à rotina do serviço, visto que os profissionais envolvidos se propuseram a realizar continuamente a qualificação da saúde do idoso na Unidade e aspectos como o acolhimento e o cadastro dos usuários tiveram continuidade após o período da intervenção.

Proposta de intervenção em pacientes obesos na Unidade Básica de Saúde da Família na colônia Santa Isabel em Betim, Minas Gerais

Este trabalho tem por objetivo realizar uma proposta de intervenção em pacientes obesos na Unidade Básica de Saúde da Família na Colônia Santa Isabel em Betim, Minas Gerais. Nesse intuito, ações que levem a essa mudança são primordiais. Conhecer, relacionar, ampliar os conhecimentos que esse público tem sobre a doença Obesidade e seus efeitos negativos para a saúde é fundamental. Para a análise de dados foi aplicado um questionário a essa fração selecionada de usuários. As respostas, após tabuladas, servem de informação para se desenvolver a intervenção pleiteada. Após a intervenção, necessário se faz uma reavaliação dos conhecimentos desses usuários a respeito da doença obesidade e se houve uma incorporação dos novos conhecimentos à realidade que vivem, com a mudança de hábitos.

Trypanosoma Cruzi Strains From Triatomine Collected In Bahia And Rio Grande Do Sul, Brazil.

Collection of triatomines in domestic, peridomestic and sylvatic environments in states of Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul, Northeastern and Southern Brazil respectively, and isolation of Trypanosoma cruzi strains. First, the captured triatomines were identified using insect identification keys, then their intestinal content was examined by abdominal compression, and the samples containing trypanosomatid forms were inoculated in LIT medium and Swiss mice. Six triatomine species were collected in cities in Bahia, namely Panstrongylus geniculatus (01), Triatoma melanocephala (11), T. lenti (94), T. pseudomaculata (02), T. sherlocki (26) and T. sordida (460), and two in cities in Rio Grande do Sul, namely T. circummaculata (11) and T. rubrovaria (115). Out of the specimens examined, T. cruzi was isolated from 28 triatomine divided into four different species: T. melanocephala (one), T. lenti (one), T. rubrovaria (16) and T. sordida (10). Their index of natural infection by T. cruzi was 6.4%. The isolation of T. cruzi strains from triatomines found in domestic and peridomestic areas shows the potential risk of transmission of Chagas disease in the studied cities. The maintenance of those T. cruzi strains in laboratory is intended to promote studies that facilitate the understanding of the parasite-vector-host relationship.

Newborn Hearing Screening And Early Diagnostic In The Nicu.

The aim was to describe the outcome of neonatal hearing screening (NHS) and audiological diagnosis in neonates in the NICU. The sample was divided into Group I: neonates who underwent NHS in one step and Group II: neonates who underwent a test and retest NHS. NHS procedure was automated auditory brainstem response. NHS was performed in 82.1% of surviving neonates. For GI, referral rate was 18.6% and false-positive was 62.2% (normal hearing in the diagnostic stage). In GII, with retest, referral rate dropped to 4.1% and false-positive to 12.5%. Sensorineural hearing loss was found in 13.2% of infants and conductive in 26.4% of cases. There was one case of auditory neuropathy spectrum (1.9%). Dropout rate in whole process was 21.7% for GI and 24.03% for GII. We concluded that it was not possible to perform universal NHS in the studied sample or, in many cases, to apply it within the first month of life. Retest reduced failure and false-positive rate and did not increase evasion, indicating that it is a recommendable step in NHS programs in the NICU. The incidence of hearing loss was 2.9%, considering sensorineural hearing loss (0.91%), conductive (1.83%) and auditory neuropathy spectrum (0.19%).

Effect Of Exercise Test On Pulmonary Function Of Obese Adolescents.

to investigate the pulmonary response to exercise of non-morbidly obese adolescents, considering the gender. a prospective cross-sectional study was conducted with 92 adolescents (47 obese and 45 eutrophic), divided in four groups according to obesity and gender. Anthropometric parameters, pulmonary function (spirometry and oxygen saturation [SatO2]), heart rate (HR), blood pressure (BP), respiratory rate (RR), and respiratory muscle strength were measured. Pulmonary function parameters were measured before, during, and after the exercise test. BP and HR were higher in obese individuals during the exercise test (p = 0.0001). SatO2 values decreased during exercise in obese adolescents (p = 0.0001). Obese males had higher levels of maximum inspiratory and expiratory pressures (p = 0.0002) when compared to obese and eutrophic females. Obese males showed lower values of maximum voluntary ventilation, forced vital capacity, and forced expiratory volume in the first second when compared to eutrophic males, before and after exercise (p = 0.0005). Obese females had greater inspiratory capacity compared to eutrophic females (p = 0.0001). Expiratory reserve volume was lower in obese subjects when compared to controls (p ≤ 0,05). obese adolescents presented changes in pulmonary function at rest and these changes remained present during exercise. The spirometric and cardiorespiratory values were different in the four study groups. The present data demonstrated that, in spite of differences in lung growth, the model of fat distribution alters pulmonary function differently in obese female and male adolescents.

The Characterization Of The Endoglucanase Cel12a From Gloeophyllum Trabeum Reveals An Enzyme Highly Active On β-glucan.

The basidiomycete fungus Gloeophyllum trabeum causes a typical brown rot and is known to use reactive oxygen species in the degradation of cellulose. The extracellular Cel12A is one of the few endo-1,4-β-glucanase produced by G. trabeum. Here we cloned cel12A and heterologously expressed it in Aspergillus niger. The identity of the resulting recombinant protein was confirmed by mass spectrometry. We used the purified GtCel12A to determine its substrate specificity and basic biochemical properties. The G. trabeum Cel12A showed highest activity on β-glucan, followed by lichenan, carboxymethylcellulose, phosphoric acid swollen cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, and filter paper. The optimal pH and temperature for enzymatic activity were, respectively, 4.5 and 50 °C on β-glucan. Under these conditions specific activity was 239.2 ± 9.1 U mg(-1) and the half-life of the enzyme was 84.6 ± 3.5 hours. Thermofluor studies revealed that the enzyme was most thermal stable at pH 3. Using β-glucan as a substrate, the Km was 3.2 ± 0.5 mg mL(-1) and the Vmax was 0.41 ± 0.02 µmol min(-1). Analysis of the effects of GtCel12A on oat spelt and filter paper by scanning electron microscopy revealed the morphological changes taking place during the process.
