Da escola do hardware para a escola do software : o processo educativo sob a lógica da compressão do tempo e do espaço

A presente pesquisa aborda os movimentos desencadeados na instituição escolar com a chegada dos ambientes informatizados nas escolas da rede municipal de Porto Alegre, tendo como interface de investigação as categorias de tempo e de espaço. Problematizo a relação escolarizaçãotecnologia no contexto de um cenário social que emerge na hegemonia tecnológica digital das redes de informação e comunicação, para que se tornem evidentes as configurações de tempo e de espaço forjadas no palco de uma proposta de organização da escola pública municipal que, ao reorganizar tempo e espaço escolares, marca a saída do modelo da escola seriada e a entrada da escola por ciclos de formação e autoriza uma forma de escolarização que coloca de forma oficial a materialidade e os saberes da informática educativa na rede de ensino municipal de Porto Alegre. Sob a lógica de uma perspectiva de investigação histórica e cultural, desnaturaliza-se a inserção da informática no tempo e no espaço ao considerá-la como não-imune aos efeitos do contemporâneo fenômeno de compressão do tempo e do espaço. Percorrendo as diferentes experiências espaço-temporais e as configurações assumidas pela sociedade ocidental, ganham visibilidade formas de escolarização que, num processo histórico, conquistaram legitimidade e produziram a escola pública, gratuita, obrigatória, tecnológica e ajustada às transformações e exigências de um cenário social regido por uma imensa acumulação de espetáculos. Continuidades e descontinuidades marcam a inserção das tecnologias de informação e de comunicação na maquinaria escolar, e o disciplinamento cognitivo e comportamental conquista novos dispositivos. Em um corpus de análise em que se entrelaçam documentos, entrevistas, observações e o complexo e ambivalente fenômeno implementado pela permanente revolução das redes digitais de comunicação e de informação, é que a inserção do saber e da materialidade da Informática na Educação no tempo e no espaço escolares passa a ser tematizada. Como um jogo de cara e coroa que, ao revelar sua face de veneno, tornando mais eficiente o controle individual e coletivo, faz, também, girar a moeda, para que o potencial participativo, socializante e emancipador da rede mundial de computadores aponte para a face do próprio remédio. A partir dessa faceta condicionante e nãodeterminista da relação escolarização-tecnologia, tempos e espaços para colonizar são problematizados a fim de fazer emergir, na mesma intensidade, tempos e espaços para fruir, para deixar espraiar a sensibilidade e a interação humanas, para potencializar o aprendizado e a aquisição dos saberes.

FGV/DAPP lança ferramenta de monitoramento de rede em tempo real

A Diretoria de Análise de Políticas Públicas da Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV/DAPP) lançou nesta terça-feira (22) o Monitor de Temas, uma ferramenta de acompanhamento em tempo real de menções relacionadas a políticas públicas na internet. A iniciativa visa disponibilizar um termômetro do debate público na web sobre questões ligadas às áreas de transportes, saúde, educação, segurança e protestos, bem como o histórico recente de menções a esses temas

A biblioteca: uma actividade de enriquecimento do currículo na escola a tempo inteiro

O presente estudo, que incide sobre a biblioteca como uma actividade de enriquecimento do currículo em duas escolas a tempo inteiro situadas em meio rural da Região Autónoma da Madeira, descreve e interpreta o processo histórico de criação e de implementação do novo modelo de escola, a perspectiva dos docentes relativamente à mudança e à inovação e o contributo da biblioteca para a aprendizagem dos alunos. Trata-se de uma abordagem qualitativa e conta com a observação da actividade dinamizada nas duas escolas, a análise dos documentos produzidos pelas escolas e pelos alunos, as entrevistas realizadas ao ex-Secretário Regional de Educação, à ex-Directora Regional de Educação, ao ex-Presidente da Câmara Municipal de S. Vicente, às Directoras e aos professores dinamizadores da biblioteca como actividade de enriquecimento do currículo e, ainda, com trinta questionários aplicados aos docentes em exercício nas duas escolas. Os dados obtidos foram objecto de análise de conteúdo, quantificando-se as unidades de sentido. O trabalho desenvolvido revela que a escola a tempo inteiro foi instituída pela Secretaria Regional de Educação com a participação e o envolvimento dos professores, após ponderados múltiplos factores que afectavam as aprendizagens dos alunos. Esta medida implementada produziu mudanças ao nível da escola, das crianças, das famílias, dos professores e da comunidade educativa. Por sua vez, os professores tiveram de assumir novos papéis. No entanto, não encontramos unanimidade de pontos de vista nos seus testemunhos, concernentes à sua receptividade à mudança e à inovação. Além disso, as crenças reveladas pelos inquiridos relativamente à biblioteca, como actividade de enriquecimento do currículo, demonstram que esta tem uma importância fundamental na dinâmica organizacional da escola, na promoção e na transversalidade das aprendizagens, podendo vir a constituir-se o foco central da inovação pedagógica na escola do futuro.

Testemunhos de um tempo vivido : fragmentos e contextos de uma narrativa de Janduís-RN

Shows up the memory of the elderly, as a consistent experience in the in the construction of the social memory of Janduís, Rio Grande do Norte, where the research takes place. Through an autobiographic narrative, in a qualitative approaching, the intent is to stand up aspects about the individual history and collective memories, starting in a simple question: what did they remember? A question that turns into many others, as how the remember and under which circumstances. So, the lived and remembered moments are the subject of this paper, as these testimonials shows and reveals the citizens typical aspects, intending to telling (again) the city s history by the memories of this people. By oral statements and the analysis that followed, subjective aspects that made a social memory, highlight in violent episodes, that, now remembered, occurred in the historical sediment, which connects several social times, establishing a narrative standard. In Janduís, this standard is about the memory that sticks out their individual ways, and the collective life, in the past, standing out the fair and the events that occurred on it, as the most remembered place, where the memories go stronger. When they narrate are incorporated others facts, the story is reinvented, connecting the past to the future. The paper also revels builders subjects aspects of a social memory, as historical sediment that joins the social times. At the present moment, the fair, to them, is a place that doesn t exist anymore; for the city, is a place of enlargement of women s presence at the trending spaces, which means a place of social transformation. That being said, the fair, in both times, present and past, turns into a analysis object, with important elements to reference narrative s time and place. And how the narrative update the past recorded in the old citizen s memory. What was intended to do was articulate the memory and the history form temporal and special etching that define the place and the narrative context: the lived and the remembered at the group s day by day. In that way, were identify the collective memory s common elements, enunciating the memory and the narratives that update that history, influencing and being influenced, forming in memories in a collective phenomenon fueling the local imaginary

O histórico de uma pesca tropical utilizando indicadores ecossistêmicos

When scientists study methods, theory and standards in an inseparable form, he is facing a paradigm. Throughout the development of a determined science, paradigms can change by changing the methods, objective and standards of research. Fisheries science is changing the paradigm moving from the paradigm of maximization in the use of resources, quantified by the index of the catch, which was influenced by evolutionary concepts such as Optimal Foraging Theory, to the sustainability paradigm that seeks its foundation in the fishery ecosystem perspective. The goal of this study was to review methods, theory and the history of ecosystem indexes of fishery science that attempts to determine sustainability of fishery resources from the data capture. Ecosystems indexes by themselves may not be useful to measure the sustainability of fishing because they focus only on the environmental or ecological side of the sustainability tripod. Probably to measure the sustainability of fishing these indexes should include in the future the Payments for Ecosystem Services and Social Resilience. Thus the methods and theories are in constantly changing within science to meet the most current paradigm

A letra escarlate como romance histórico: uma história de fragilidade humana e tristeza

The objective of this paper is to analyze the work of the American writer Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804 - 1864), The Scarlet Letter (1850), in the light of the contributions of Literature and History of the American people in the context of New England. Accordingly, we highlight aspects that justify the inclusion of the work as a historical novel, especially based on the reading of The Historical Novel (1936-37) written by Georg Lukács. The diversity of voices and social interrelationships that come out of the main characters of the plot of the novel, as well as their contextual buildings, constituted as important traces to understanding the novel as being of historical value. During our study, we found out that it is in the plots of the novels that the characters reflect, at the same time, the specific conditions of their singularities, the general trends of the historical process and the social conditions from which they arise. We also could see that it is in their singularities that lie special tendencies of human beings. Machado de Assis understood his time and brought his perception of Brazilian society in the 19th century, with its multiple aspects economy, politics, culture, amongst others - to the texts he wrote. Through the tensions lived in his novels and short stories, Machado displays Brazilian social reality and the changes it had been undergoing. Mariana and Pai contra mãe show the crisis of the slavery system, the relation of dependency, the treatment given to the captives and the lack of coherence of a country that intended to adopt Liberalism as an ideology, but which kept on living under the shadow of slavery and its consequences. A country where the priorities were given to the landlords, owners of slaves, in protection of their interests. O caso da vara tells about how the crias da casa little black girls who lived in the household and learned how to make spool embroidery were treated. What were the punishments for desobedience and how they were levelled out, how should be the behaviour of a child who lived as a social outcast. Thus, this paper aims at playing a game of mirrors between History and fiction. Not only to play it, but to analyze how Machado deals with the reflections of 19th century Brazil on his short stories

A interdisciplinaridade e a psiquiatria: é tempo de não saber?

O presente artigo trata da interdisciplinaridade, da psiquiatria e da atenção psicossocial. Ao longo do texto, faz-se um relato histórico a respeito da constituição e da crise do saber científico organizado em disciplinas, analisa-se a dificuldade teórica de se conceituar a interdisciplinaridade e, ao final, aborda-se a psiquiatria e sua relação com a interdisciplinaridade na realidade da atenção psicossocial. Os autores defendem que a psiquiatria, por sua história, guarda singularidades que a diferenciam de outras especialidades médicas e que - a um primeiro momento - poderiam fazê-la ir em direção contrária à interdisciplinaridade. Os autores concluem que os serviços de atenção psicossocial, pelas características que lhes são inerentes, são lugares privilegiados para a formação psiquiátrica com características interdisciplinares.
