This article questions some elements that can help to make early work understood nowadays. From a local reality, the city of Franca in São Paulo, it records the production restructuring, the expansion of the informal, autonomous and domestic work, and the early inclusion of boys and girls in the work market, as well as the maintenance of the distance between the paradigm of whole protection to children and adolescents and the daily reality in which they are inserted.

The aim was to reflect what action to prevent accidents used by caregivers / participants in the home. This is a prospecive cross-sectional descriptive study conducted at the Pediatric Inpatient Unit, Hospital of the Medical School of Botucatu – Unesp, during the months from May to August 2010.A questionnaire was used in the form of check list (Annex I) on measures to prevent accidents. The participant chose two alternatives taking into consideration the order of priority in the prevention of accidents. This study shows that for the age group from 29 days to 2 years, the companions chose these preventive measures for falls, burns, poisoning and drowning, “do not put near the windows mobile” (27.8%), “no access the match, lighter and appliances (22.2%), leave toxic substances out of reach and sight of children (41.7%) and empty buckets, tubs and pools after use (27.8% ). Regarding the age group 2-6 years, the measures for these types of accidents were not put near the windows mobile (26.5%), do not have access to matches, lighters and household appliances (20.9% ), leave toxic products out of reach and sight of children (27.9%) and maintain tanks, tanks and wells or struck with some protection (20.2%). For ages 6 to 10 years, the measures chosen to more such accidents were dry liquid spilled on the ground (23.5%), do not have access to matches, lighters and household appliances (22.5% ), leave toxic products out of reach and sight of children (31%) and keep tanks, tanks and wells or struck with some protection (23.5%). One fact that attracted our attention was that the preventive measures most frequently used by caregivers, regardless of age, show results that differ in few alternatives. It is essential to the understanding of the escorts / participants on the importance of injury prevention. Even today is predominantly defined as accident, injury must be addressed through measures

Lower urinary tract disease (LUTD) is a multifactorial disease, wich may be caused by uroliths and calculations, bacterial and viral infections and anatomical abnormalities, among others. The disease can also be of unknown origin in wich case it is called intersticial cystitis. Knowing that the disease may have many causes, it is necessary to know the exact etiology and the best method of diagnosis, to establish specific therapeutic measures for each case. The diagnostic methods most commonly used are: urinalysis, radiography and ultrassonography, but the blood count and biochemistry can be used, trying to assess the overall status of the animal. The terapy used depends on the causative agent of disease, wich may include changes in supply until emergency treatment, azotemia in cats with post-renal. The application of microwave radiation on the sample preparation has been expanding increasingly in areas involving decomposition by wet and dry roads, fusion, extraction, acceleration of chemical reactions, for example. Currently, the use of microwave ovens for analytical purposes are recognized for having excellent performance for organic and inorganic samples. In the international market there are several kinds of microwaves oven which adapt the varied purposes, however yet with elevated prices which incapacitate your use as routine equipment in laboratory. Thus, many researchers have been choosing for developing own projects of microwaves oven production or to use domestic oven for the laboratory, with or without adaptations. For the evaluation of the proposed method was used in the Kjeldahl methodology for determining total nitrogen in samples of crude protein, using a domestic microwave oven and a digester pot made up in TeflonTM and distillation by steam. Were made to adapt and characterization of a domestic microwave oven, the confeccion vessel digester and the metal support for the vessel. The accuracy of the proposed method was confirmed by comparison of two methods, the standard method for conventional heating and by the proposed method, with heating by microwave radiation through the calculated values of relative standard deviation analysis

The development of home refrigerators generally are compact and economic reasons for using simplified configuration. The thermodynamic coefficient of performance ( COP ) is limited mainly in the condenser design for reasons of size and arrangement ( layout ) of the project ( design ) and climatic characteristics of the region where it will operate. It is noteworthy that this latter limitation is very significant when it comes to a country of continental size like Brazil with diverse climatic conditions. The COP of the cycle depends crucially on the ability of heat dissipated in the condenser. So in hot climates like the northeast, north, and west-central dispel ability is highly attenuated compared to the south and southeast regions with tropical or subtropical climates when compared with other regions. The dissipation in compact capacitors for applications in domestic refrigeration has been the focus of several studies, that due to its impact on reducing costs and power consumption, and better use of the space occupied by the components of refrigeration systems. This space should be kept to a minimum to allow an increase in the useful storage volume of refrigerator without changing the external dimensions of the product. Due to its low cost manufacturing, wire on tube condensers continue to be the most advantageous option for domestic refrigeration. Traditionally, these heat exchangers are designed to operate under natural convection. Not always, the benefits of greater compactness of capacitors for forced outweigh the burden of pumping air through the external heat exchanger. In this work we propose an improvement in convective condenser changing it to a transfer mechanism combined in series with conductive pipes and wire to a moist convective porous medium and the porous medium to the environment. The porous media used in the coating was composed of a gypsum plaster impregnated fiber about a mesh of natural cellulosic molded tubular wire mesh about the original structure of the condenser , and then dried and calcined to greater adherence and increased porosity. The proposed configuration was installed in domestic refrigeration system ( trough ) and tested under the same conditions of the original configuration . Was also evaluated in the dry condition and humidified drip water under natural and forced with an electro - fan ( fan coil ) convection. Assays were performed for the same 134- refrigerant charge e under the same thermal cooling load. The performance was evaluated in various configurations, showing an improvement of about 72 % compared with the original configuration proposed in humidification and natural convection.

Em Portugal, as iniciativas no âmbito da conciliação trabalho-família e a igualdade entre mulheres e homens têm-se fortificado nos últimos anos. A presente dissertação estuda as “Representações e atitudes sobre igualdade de género dos funcionários e funcionárias de um município português”, tendo partido do desafio de acompanhamento de um processo de planeamento e mudança organizacional - Plano para a igualdade de género - para a eliminação da desigualdade de género numa Câmara do interior centro do país. Analisaram-se os dados de um inquérito por questionário respondido por 206 colaboradores/as da autarquia, dos quais 51,2% são homens e 48,8% mulheres. Com uma escala composta de 34 itens procurámos conhecer a extensão e a expressão dos valores e da estereotipia de género, bem como o reconhecimento da desigualdade e o acolhimento de práticas e políticas igualitárias por parte deste universo. Concluiu-se que ao mesmo tempo que já se admite e se aceita cada vez mais o facto de numa família, os dois cônjuges trabalharem fora e se dedicarem a uma carreira profissional, ainda está presente nas pessoas inquiridas a ideia de que as tarefas vinculadas ao âmbito doméstico são responsabilidades das mulheres, ainda que elas já recebam auxílio dos seus companheiros. Assim, percebemos que embora o mundo público seja cada vez mais ocupado por mulheres, ainda se vincula o espaço “profissional” aos homens e as responsabilidades ligadas ao lar e aos filhos às mulheres. Foi também possível concluir uma forte estereotipia de género que justifica de forma essencialista aquilo que são, na realidade, efeitos da desigualdade de género. Este diagnóstico permitiu desenhar um plano de formação organizacional com enfoque no combate à estereotipia de género e seus efeitos nefastos na gestão das pessoas, na igualdade de oportunidades e no desenvolvimento organizacional. / In Portugal, the initiatives in the scope of the bond work-family and the equity between men and women have been strengthened in the last few years. The present thesis studies the “Representations and attitudes about gender equity between men and women employees of a Portuguese city”, that started with the challenge of overlooking a process of planning and organizational change – Plan for gender equity – in order to eliminate the gender inequity within a City Hall in the interior of the country. Data collected from a questionnaire was analysed. This questionnaire was answered by 206 City Hall employees, of which 51,2% are men and 48,8% are women. With a scale composed of 34 items we sought to understand the extent and the expression of the values and gender stereotyping, as well as the inequity acknowledgement and the reception of equity practices and policies by this universe of people. It is concluded that although, more and more, it is allowed and accepted that in a family both spouses work and dedicate themselves to a professional career, within the people surveyed the idea that the household chores are of the women’s responsibility is still present, the “professional” field is still linked to the men and the responsibilities related to the home and the children are linked to the women. It was also possible to conclude that a strong gender stereotyping justifies, in an essentialist way, what are, in reality, the effects of gender inequity. This diagnosis enabled the design of an organizational training program, with the emphasis on the battle against gender stereotyping and its adverse effects in people management, in equal opportunities between men and women and in the organizational development.

In this work we thought about the social use of the domestic space and, specifically, the space destined to the preparation of food. The kitchen is a creative space of social relationships. There the families exchange daily interaction with the neighbors, in a collective of the space reserved to the making of food. Our empiric research was in the Mutamba da Caieira community, located in the county of Assu (RN). The data was collected through the etnographic method aided by the photographic resources. In the discussion, we delimitated at the house three types of kitchens: one reserved to the family, another kitchen in the terrace and yet another kitchen in the yard. They are kitchens that link amongst themselves with activities and differentiated temporalities. In the daily social exchange, the kitchen imposes itself as a social space through the conditions that it offers for the production of the foods, the circulation of domestic objects, the communication of knowledge around the cookery, operating a group of symbolic and ritual actions combined with appropriate techniques for the transformation of the foods. The study reveals that the domestic chores accomplished amon relatives and friends form webs of intracommunitary relationships in the use of the three kitchens, and that the social network is updated in a singular moment that usually happens in the community, the Game of Pacará

O presente texto pretende mostrar quão necessário se torna estudar a experiência das crianças, as suas conceções e imagens, para podermos entender os diferentes fenómenos sociais que lhes dizem respeito. As grandes transformações sociais que têm vindo a sucederse no interior da família, sobretudo nas últimas décadas, suscitaram, na autora, a necessidade de perceber a atual importância social atribuída à infância, no espaço doméstico, resgatada a partir das vozes das crianças. Subscrevendo os pressupostos da Sociologia da Infância, partiuse da noção de que as crianças são atores sociais competentes e, como tal, devem ser consideradas no processo de produção de conhecimento sobre os seus mundos de vida. Este artigo visa expor as representações de um grupo de crianças, em contexto de jardim de infância, acerca do lugar que lhes é reservado, enquanto filhos(as) pequenos(as), no interior da família.

The objective of this study was to analyze if the pro equity program of gender and race in the PMC, changed the perception of the servants on the conception of sexual division of labor. The sexual division of labor is the concept that allows identifying and understanding the hierarchical relations (principal of hierarchization) based on the attribution of social and economic value most male occupations in relation female, besides that, considerers the female work‟s secondary and her salary supplement to the family income. And the principle of separation identifying the places occupies by man and woman in the institution (productive, reproductive, and domestic work) agreeing with the historical and social construction that associates woman to occupational sectors like “mastertship”, nursering and social assistance, considered an extension of the family functions like taking care and family affections. And the man is associate to engineer, technology information and occupations related to exact science all professions associate to reason, creating a bias of gender in labor relations. To identify possible inequalities of gender in the work ambiance, I have compared the initial basic duration of some careers, the ascension process to higher positions and the salary that both servants and servers in the PMC. Was also investigated the perception of implements and beneficiaries of the program, over the sexual labor division. The methodology used for conduct the investigation was the qualitative research interpretive character using the structured and semi structured interviewed as instruments of data collect. The interview was divided in two groups, to follow: a) implements of pro-equity program of gender and race and b) professors and engineers beneficiaries. The analyzes of documents provided by the Secretaria de Politícas para as Mulheres da Presidência da República and by the PMC complemented the investigative path of this research. Bring as result a perception of beneficiaries servants and implementing on a policy which provides for cultural changes in the institution and in the management of people. It should be noted that the program foresees that in its objectives identify the discriminatory relations of race, sexual orientation, generation and disable person who were not examined in this study. Factor that enables the continuation of the investigation process and is a suggestion for a future research.

O artigo objetiva analisar por que a atividade extrativista não é considerada como trabalho pelas próprias mulheres, pelos membros do seu grupo doméstico e demais agentes sociais entrevistados quando comparado ao assalariado. A pesquisa foi realizada no povoado Vila Paca, Ilha do Marajó ? PA entre 2011 e 2012. A abordagem foi qualitativa. As conclusões mostram que as atividades domésticas e extrativas conformam arranjos de trabalho complementares e flexíveis; o fato do extrativismo ser feito exclusivamente por mulheres influencia no status de não trabalho; e a autonomia para organizar o trabalho influencia nas noções construídas sobre trabalho.

Este estudio describe la crianza de chompipe doméstico (Meleagris gallo-pavo) en la comarca de Quebrada Honda municipio de Masaya, de noviembre del 2014 a junio del 2015. Se seleccionaron 25 familias bajo criterios previos: anuencia y experiencia en el manejo de los mismos. Para recabar información utilizamos guías de observación, entrevista. Para el procesamiento e interpretación de la información, se utilizó estadística descriptiva, usando gráficos, tablas de frecuencia y datos porcentuales. Las variables evaluadas: cantidad de chompipe, importancia de la crianza, manejo, parámetros productivos y reproductivos y enfermedades que los afectan. Los resultados obtenidos fueron: Población total de chompipes 187,entre ellos 155 adultos, 20 pichones y 12 crías. La importancia de la crianza de chompipe para las familias se determinó por las causas que expresan, donde el 68% de las familias opinaron que los crían para venta, el 20% para consumo, 12% refieren que los crían por ornamento y guardianes. Las principales características de estas aves son: rusticidad, resistentes a enfermedades y de fácil manejo. De la carne y huevos, las familias desconocen el valor nutricional, pero ponderan el sabor de la carne con respecto al de la gallina india. El destino de la producción de huevos es principalmente para la reproducción, El manejo proporcionado a los chompipes es rudimentario, característico de un sistema extensivo. El alimento suministrado, es maíz o sorgo, además desperdicios de cocina, No construyen instalaciones ni equipos para las aves. Durante el pastoreo consumen insectos, follajes y frutas, entre otros. El peso del huevo es de 74 g y ponen un promedio de 45-60 h/año. La incubación dura 28-30 días y su reproducción es durante todo el año con una buena alimentación. La relación hembra/ macho es 3-1 h/m. La madurez sexual de la hembra y del macho oscila entre 6-9 meses de edad.
