Pellet target is one of the main candidate targets in CSRm (cooler storage ring’s main ring) for hadron physics studies. Pellet speed is an important physical parameter for the target. Larger pellet speed could shorten the interacting time interval between the pellet and the cyclotron beam, and thus results in a small temperature variation for the pellet. This could make the pellet facility work in a stable con-dition. A fluid dynamic simulation was carried out for the pellet speed, and it was found that the maxi-mum speed for the target pellet may be restricted to about 100 m/s even if all working parameters were set to their optimal values.

This study finds evidence that attempts to reduce costs and error rates in the Inland Revenue through the use of e-commerce technology are flawed. While it is technically possible to write software that will record tax data, and then transmit it to the Inland Revenue, there is little demand for this service. The key finding is that the tax system is so complex that many people are unable to complete their own tax returns. This complexity cannot be overcome by well-designed software. The recommendation is to encourage the use of agents to assist taxpayers or simplify the tax system. The Inland Revenue is interested in saving administrative costs and errors by encouraging electronic submission of tax returns. To achieve these objectives, given the raw data it would seem clear that the focus should be on facilitating the work of agents.

Biochemical studies reveal that a conserved arginine residue (R37) at the centre of the 14 angstrom internal cavity of histone deacetylase (HDAC) 8 is important for catalysis and acetate affinity. Computational studies indicate that R37 forms multiple hydrogen bonding interactions with the backbone carbonyl oxygen atoms of two conserved glycine residues, G303 and G305, resulting in a 'closed' form of the channel. One possible rationale for these data is that water or product (acetate) transit through the catalytically crucial internal channel of HDAC8 is regulated by a gating interaction between G139 and G303 tethered in position by the conserved R37. The localization and distribution of glutamate-like immunoreactivity (IR) in the nervous system of both the cestode Mesocestoides corti and the trematode Fasciola hepatica has been determined by an indirect immunofluorescent technique, in conjunction with confocal scanning laser microscopy (CSLM). Immunostaining was widespread in the central (CNS) and peripheral (PNS) nervous systems of both species examined. In the CNS, IR was evident in nerve cells and fibres in the cerebral ganglia, the cerebral commissure and the dorsal, ventral and longitudinal nerve cords. In the peripheral nervous system (PNS) of M. corti, IR was apparent in nerve plexuses associated with the subtegmental musculature and the musculature associated with the anteriorly positioned suckers. In F. hepatica, IR was evident in the innervation of both the oral and the ventral suckers, In the reproductive system of F. hepatica, glutamate-IR was observed around the ootype/Mehlis' gland complex.
