The manufacture of plywood panel already has about eighty years in Brazil. In general, plywood panels differ by their nature, composition and manufacturing; the most common MDF, OSB, particle and the joist. Some of these products can be generated fromindustrial waste, as the panelblockboard, you can use in their training waste destop boards (Battens), from industrial processes or processing of primary wood. This work aims to present the detailed study of the economic viability of utilization of industrial solid waste timber through the acquisition of a machine amarradeira of joists in a wood processing unit in city Itapeva-SP. We studied the application of wastein the composition of kernels blockboard panel tied its commercial acceptance and future prospects market. We noticed great economic advantage in investing in the study, compared with the transformation process of the joists in biomass energy, although the investment decision involves not only financial matters but also the acceptance market the product to be manufactured

Due the differences between interaction physics process with matter for protons and photons, the proton beam tomography (pCT) has some vantages to comparison with conventional tomography. Also it is confirmed that usually pCT has better dose distribution and highest contrast resolution. The pCT allow not only view the internal structure of an object without destroying it, but also directly measure of volume density of electrons. Also it is confirmed that usually pCT has better dose distribution and highest contrast resolution. At the same time, there are many scientific and technical aspects to a detailed study: the capacity and limitations of the pCT methods are not well clarified. Through computations, based on Monte Carlo Method was carried out a detailed study of the contribution of non-elastic nuclear spreading, and together was compared with an analytical model for the deflection angle and the lateral deflection of protons in the target volume. The programs used were SRIM 2006 code and MCNPX v.2.50 code

Two of the major problems caused by construction activity are the production of construction and demolition waste (CDW) and the exploitation of mineral resources, causing big impacts on the environment. Therefore, the recycling has been shown as an alternative to mitigate the harmful effects of waste on the urban environment and prevent the exploitation of new raw materials. This course work aims to study the behavior of recycled aggregates from Vale do Paraíba in concrete and mortar. Initially, it presents the definitions of recycled aggregates according to CONAMA Resolution No. 307/2002, the aggregate settings for concrete and mortar (such as the grain size, its origin and density, and the characterization parameters according to ABNT), and the definition of ACI method of concrete mix design. Afterwards, it presents the characterization of materials separated by assays. After that, it shows the theoretical concrete proportioning applying the ACI method and experimental concrete proportioning. Then, the analysis of results is performed to finally conclude that the materials provided can't be used to replace natural aggregates because they cannot have the same performance. With the studies, it could be observed that the recycled aggregate presents a great complexity and diversity in origin, therefore the form how the material should be handled requires great care
