Este estudo tem por objetivo desvelar as significações construídas pelos alfabetizandos presidiários sobre suas experiências educacionais, na situação do cárcere. Considerando os objetivos que perseguimos e os aportes teóricos metodológicos que fundamentam o trabalho, passamos a situar as trilhas da nossa pesquisa no contexto de um presídio, dando voz aos detentos, cujos discursos tradicionalmente são reduzidos a patologias ou desvios. Nesta direção, recorremos à abordagem qualitativa de pesquisa. Nossa escolha metodológica para o trabalho investigativo utilizará a teoria que é também método das Representações Sociais, que são marcados pela especificidade de “dar lugar ao pensamento do Outro” na pesquisa. As histórias de vida nos auxiliarão a municiar nosso olhar e, por meio delas e de outras formas narrativas - como as análises de rituais e dos cenários que compõem o cotidiano carcerário -, as representações sociais serão ordenadas de modo à “fazerem falar o silêncio” das vozes amordaçadas dos presos da Penitenciaria Modelo Desembargador Flóscolo da Nóbrega, em João Pessoa-(PB). Utilizamos três meios para coletar os dados: registros no diário de campo, observações participantes, entrevistas semi-estruturadas com os selecionados individualmente e em grupos. Para o tratamento dos dados coletados, utilizamos a escolha de cenários do cotidiano carcerário - o que pôde nos auxiliar a dar forma concreta às escolhas teóricas e metodológicas do processo de investigação. A luz de Moscovici, as representações sociais é uma maneira particular de conhecimento presente no senso comum, tendo como função a orientação para a ação no cotidiano; ao mesmo tempo em que essa forma de conhecimento é diretriz na interação entre os indivíduos. No espaço carcerário, procuramos compreender as representações dos presidiários, movendo-nos junto a silêncios, gestos, olhares, gritos, palavras e agressões. Neste lugar concreto, escutando os encarcerados tecerem suas vozes sobre o vivido, procuramos entender as suas significações. Essa escuta se fez a partir de tempos, lugares e cenas específicas, que davam circunstancialidade ao dito e se expressavam como rituais: plenos de material instituído e de material instituinte. Também, as significações em teias nos puderam mostrar como, nas situações vividas no cárcere pelos detentos, o sujeito que cometeu um delito passa a viver um percurso que vai legitimar a construção do sujeito delinqüente. A dimensão da transcendência apareceu como lugar único onde as significações dadas ao percurso vivido no cárcere, em sua ânsia de sentido, tocam explicações de totalidade que devolvem a inteireza humana, mas não empanam a percepção do que ali se vivencia como brutal e objeto. A reificação vivida no cárcere, essa coisificação ou negação dos detentos como sujeitos históricos, humanos, transcendentes, apontou a necessidade de uma práxis outra que se aperceba dos “lugares, tempos e as cenas do cárcere” como espaços educacionais, na intenção de ultrapassar-se a alienação das possibilidades do sujeito encarcerado; mostrar como essa urdidura acontece, do ponto de vista dos encarcerados, foi tecer a malha dos rituais do cotidiano, eivados de reprodução e resistência, junto aos subterrâneos de uma memória em disputa, de uma imagética violada na sua esperança de dignidade.

The present research deals with the modernization process of the Cidade da Parahyba2, between 1850 and 1924, and its relation with the cotton economy, which represented the main source of wealth accumulation for both the private and the public sectors throughout the First Republic. This study on urban history was developed by focusing on the understanding of the city s spatial formation, and despite its emphasis on the economic aspects involved, other factors that also contribute to the development of the social life were not put aside. The modernization process of the Cidade da Parahyba was also analyzed during the period established for the study according to a chronological and thematic approach that established comparisons with the financial situation of the State, whenever this was necessary, with special attention to the contribution of the cotton economy to the State´s revenues. It was possible to detect a lack of financial help and loans from the federal and municipal administrations for finishing several public works already underway in the capital, since the federal funds allocated to the State of Parahyba do Norte were rather employed in emergency works against droughts and in agricultural development. One can then conclude that the financial resources required for the urban interventions were withdrawn from the State s treasury itself, resources that were collected mainly from activities such as cotton exportation and cotton trading. Another factor shows the interdependence between the urban remodeling and the cotton economy: during the years marked by great droughts or by hard plagues on the cotton plantations, cotton production decreased, as well as the State s finances. The first measures taken by the State s administrators were to halt all projects of urban remodeling in progress in the Cidade da Parahyba, which was, clearly, the most privileged city by the State s presidents during the period analyzed. 2 The city of João Pessoa was named Cidade da Parahyba, a designation that remained until September 1930, when it received its present-day name in order to pay homage to the president of the State, João Pessoa Cavalcanti de Albuquerque, murdered in the city of Recife in August of that same year. At that time, the State of Paraíba was known as Parahyba do Norte. Since this work is limited to a period of time comprised within the First Republic, the names employed respect the terms used in those days

This research investigated the dance piece Caldo da Cana which premiered in João Pessoa-PB, in September 1984. It problematizes theoretical and practical way to make dance history, investigating this possibility through the dance itself. Arises from the fact that the dance has specific characteristics that can not be neglected by the historical account. In this sense, it was initiated by the raising of a theoretical framework that speaks to the indicated issues and unfolds through a field study, which included collecting testimonies from people who participated in the show, documentary research, gathering material traces and finally consists a practical part by transposing elaborated historical knowledge into the body through a creative process, resulting on this moment, in the construction of a duo dance

This work has as study object the tertiary sector and (the re)production of the urban space of Bayeux-PB. For in such a way, one became necessary to the construction of a theoretical boarding that context the national reality, to be able itself to understand the reality local. This way to construct allowed an opening of the field of vision how much to the relevance of if ahead studying the tertiary sector and its weight of the current configuration of the society in a country as Brazil, e especially in a city of a State northeastern, as it is the case of Bayeux. The theoretical boarding had as base the two circuits of the urban economy, the productive reorganization and the transformations in the world of the work, as well as, the space organization and the distinction between the economic and social space of the tertiary activities, from the logic of functioning of the establishments: the regulation. Besides working with referring official data to the tertiary sector, the empirical study it had as reference one hundred and sixty and establishments tertiary, located in four axles of circulation of the city of Bayeux - PB, which are: Av. Liberdade, Av. Engenheiro de Carvalho, Av. Francisco Marques da Fonseca and Av. Marechal Rondon, that they had appeared in such a way stimulated for the processes of urbanization and industrialization lived deeply from years 70 in the "Great João Pessoa" how much, in the countries of the underdeveloped capitalist world, as Brazil. Being thus, the objective of the work was to study the tertiary sector and its relation with (the re)production of the urban space, standing out the functioning logic

Este trabalho dedica-se a examinar as principais mudanças que ocorrem no processo de construção da notícia nos telejornais regionais paulistas na última década. Objetivamos o estudo das tecnologias digitais conectadas e as consequentes alterações no trabalho dos profissionais envolvidos jornalistas, técnicos e engenheiros, a fim de entender os novos formatos aplicados na transmissão de conteúdo contando com o auxílio da internet. Para tanto, realizamos um estudo comparativo com duas emissoras da Região Metropolitana do Vale do Paraíba: TV Vanguarda, afiliada a Rede Globo, e a Tv Band Vale filiada ao Grupo Bandeirantes, que passaram por transformações em todas as dimensões da difusão de notícias com a digitalização dos seus processos tecnológicos e investimentos no ambiente virtual. Por meio da técnica de pesquisa observação participante chegou-se a conclusão de que a tecnologia é uma realidade adotada nas emissoras contribuindo para agilizar os trabalhos nas redações e aproximar o público dos telejornais.

OBJETIVO: Analisar os significados atribuídos à paternidade por homens que são pais. DELINEAMENTO DO ESTUDO: Estudo realizado em João Pessoa, PB, em 2003, desenvolvido sob abordagem qualitativa e enfoque teórico de gênero. Os participantes do estudo foram dez homens, cujos filhos eram atendidos no ambulatório de puericultura de um hospital escola. As informações analisadas foram obtidas por meio de entrevistas semi-estruturadas. Os depoimentos foram analisados pela técnica de análise crítica do discurso. ANÁLISE DOS DISCURSOS: Os sujeitos do estudo concebiam a paternidade como um novo encargo social, vinculando-a mais à provisão material da família do que ao espaço de envolvimento afetivo com o(a) filho(a). Entretanto, os participantes experimentavam um processo de transição no qual o pai tradicional convivia entre aqueles cuja dimensão afetiva da paternidade apresentava-se como eixo central de preocupação do ser pai. CONCLUSÕES: O significado e o exercício concreto da paternidade situaram-se num campo de responsabilidades que predominantemente reproduzem o pai tradicional mas também recriam o papel de pai, com inclusão da dimensão afetiva.

O material apresenta o conceito de memória virtual, recurso que objetiva solucionar o problema de pouco espaço de memória. Através de técnicas de gerenciamento, o material destaca o conceito de paginação sob demanda, os desafios da substituição de páginas, diversas estratégias populares de substituição de páginas e como se comparam à substituição ideal, o impacto do tamanho da página sobre o desempenho da memória virtual e o comportamento do programa sob paginação.
