Este trabalho analisa que possibilidades de transformação uma proposta de educação matemática baseada em projetos de investigação promotores da transdisciplinaridade e da participação ativa dos alunos do processo de ensino/aprendizagem, traz para o desenvolvimento da competência crítica e reflexiva para a formação integral desses alunos do ensino fundamental em escolas ribeirinhas, haja vista que tais competências, segundo Skovsmose (2004) e Mora (2005), são necessárias para a participação cidadã em nossa sociedade. Fundamentado em Santos (2010) e outros, analiso a crise no paradigma dominante nas ciências, e seus desdobramentos no processo educativo, além de suas consequências no modo de vida de culturas tradicionais como os ribeirinhos. Com aporte teórico na Etnomatemática, principalmente nos trabalhos de Ubiratan D‟Ambrosio (2005; 2012), Gelsa Knijnik (2001) e Alan Bishop (1999), num diálogo com a Educação Matemática Crítica, tendo como referência as pesquisas de Ole Skovsmose (2000; 2004; 2006) e David Mora (2005), na busca de conexões e articulações mútuas que propiciem esse fazer pedagógico na educação ribeirinha. Na Comunidade do Poção na Ilha de Cotijuba, mais especificamente na escola Anexo Pedra Branca (Ensino Fundamental, somente para os anos iniciais), foi instaurada a parte empírica dessa pesquisa. Fizeram parte da construção dos dados 19 (dezenove) alunos desse nível de ensino, sete (07) pais/responsáveis de alunos e a professora da escola. Quanto à metodologia, foram utilizados dois momentos diferenciados e complementares: o primeiro consistiu na aproximação do pesquisador do universo cultural dos ribeirinhos da Comunidade do Poção, realizado em três etapas articuladas entre si: a observação, os diálogos interpessoais com os moradores da comunidade e a participação do pesquisador em atividades onde se evidencia a prática social dos ribeirinhos. O segundo momento, de caráter mais pedagógico, constou do desenvolvimento com os alunos e a professora da turma de quatro cenários para investigação das atividades socioeconômica e culturais dos ribeirinhos da Comunidade do Poção: a carpintaria naval, a pescaria artesanal, a coleta e comercialização de frutíferas, a plantação de pequenas roças e hortas, no intuito de dialogar com os saberes/fazeres culturais dos ribeirinhos e sobre as formas de medidas utilizadas na comunidade e suas relações com as medidas estudadas nesse nível de ensino na matemática escolar. A partir da análise dos “cenários para investigação” (SKOVSMOSE, 2000), evidencio que os projetos investigativos de caráter transdisciplinar possibilitam o respeito aos estudantes como sujeitos autoprodutores de conhecimento, tendo como consequência a participação ativa dos educandos em seu processo de aprendizagem, além do mais, dão visibilidade, no currículo escolar, aos saberes da tradição “colocando-os em interlocução com os saberes legitimados em nossa sociedade como os saberes científicos” (KNIJNIK, 2001, p. 25), estabelecendo relações profícuas e articulações mútuas entre o saber matemático escolar e os saberes da tradição ribeirinha na Comunidade do Poção, em Cotijuba.

Os objetivos deste trabalho são os de expor os elementos pedagógicos principais presentes nas escolas Construindo o Caminho e Instituto de Educação Josué de Castro, verificar qual a força determinante na organização da proposta educacional do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra e elucidar se essa proposta contém elementos educacionais de interesse para as classes trabalhadoras em geral, do ponto de vista democrático e popular. A investigação revelou que o modo de apropriação do excedente econômico e a luta de classes constituem-se na força determinante na organização da proposta educacional e, também, que as escolas do Movimento, estruturadas e organizadas de forma diferente daquela usualmente encontrada nas escolas oficiais, colocam em epígrafe categorias educacionais como a união do ensino com o trabalho e a gestão democrática compartilhada entre alunos, professores e funcionários.

This work brings to its content proposed deployment of a system of quality management in paving asphalt based on the elaboration of a basic training to meet those entering this area of civil engineering at a technical manual for the implementation of major services running on paving of roads. The training was designed to serve both those entering the field of asphalt paving, synthesizing the complex processes involved in paving services and providing an overview of the steps in implementation thereof, as well as entrants must meet the enterprise user of this system, providing them an idea of the method used by the company designing the paving of roads. The technical manual presented in turn, has 8 (eight) of the main services components of a work of paving, which are: Mobilization and Maintenance of construction site, Regularization and subfloor preparation, execution or sub-base BGS base (graded gravel plain), Execution of sub-base or base BGTC (graded gravel treated with cement), Implementation of subbase or base Macadam hydraulic Priming bituminous waterproofing, asphalt binder Priming and finally the execution flexible pavement - HMA (hot milled asphalt concrete). These services are presented in the form of IT-Education work, this seven items are presented that guide the performance of services, thus providing overall guidelines to perform the services described in it. The development of IT's was based on experiences in day-to-day paving near the theoretical precepts presented in the literature, so the conditions specified in these documents aim to always guide the implementation of services in general, giving the process a versatility major operation, as this work takes into account the dynamics of such services, as well as the variety of their execution according to local conditions and specified in the project. This paper reflects on education, work and social issues in the globalized world, where the transformations technical / scientific / informational, articulate the context and intentions capitalists generated unemployment and social exclusion of millions of people in the name of competitiveness and streamlining production . Brazil, a country with vast territory, the diversity of strategic resources, large population and vast internal market, has the potential to achieve full autonomy socioeconomic during the twenty-first century. However, the achievement of autonomy depends on the socioeconomic development of a strategic project to education to train the new generations and to upgrade the skills of workers at work. The construction of a just society depends on acquisition of knowledge, skills and social skills and labor to keep up with rapid changes afforded by developments in science and technology of the third millennium and build a collective consciousness able to avoid degrading economic, environmental and social fundamental condition for all Brazilians are full citizens.

Objective: to characterize the profiles of families in the area covered by a Primary Health Center and to identify those in a vulnerable situation. Method: this is an epidemiological, observational, cross-sectional and quantitative study. 320 home visits were made, defined by a random sample of the areas covered by the Urban Center 1 in the city of Sao Sebastiao, in Brazil's Federal District. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection, elaborated based on the Family Development Index (FDI). Results: there was a predominance of young families, women, and low levels of schooling. The FDI permitted the identification of families in situations of "high" and "very high" vulnerability. The most critical dimensions were: "access to knowledge" and "access to work". Conclusion: the study indicated the importance of greater investments in the areas of education, work and income, and highlighted the need for the use of a wider concept of vulnerability by the health services.

STUDY QUESTION To what extent do the management of endometriosis and the symptoms that remain after treatment affect the quality of life in women with the disease? SUMMARY ANSWER Many women with endometriosis had impaired quality of life and continued to suffer from endometriosis-associated symptoms even though their endometriosis has been managed in tertiary care centres. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY The existing literature indicates that quality of life and work productivity is reduced in women with endometriosis. However, most studies have small sample sizes, are treatment related or examine newly diagnosed patients only. STUDY DESIGN, SIZE, DURATION A cross-sectional questionnaire-based survey among 931 women with endometriosis treated in 12 tertiary care centres in 10 countries. PARTICIPANTS/MATERIALS, SETTING, METHODS Women diagnosed with endometriosis who had at least one contact related to endometriosis-associated symptoms during 2008 with a participating centre were enrolled into the study. The study investigated the effect of endometriosis on education, work and social wellbeing, endometriosis-associated symptoms and health-related quality of life, by using questions obtained from the World Endometriosis Research Foundation (WERF) GSWH instrument (designed and validated for the WERF Global Study on Women's Health) and the Short Form 36 version 2 (SF-36v2). MAIN RESULTS AND THE ROLE OF CHANCE Of 3216 women invited to participate in the study, 1450 (45%) provided informed consent and out of these, 931 (931/3216 = 29%) returned the questionnaires. Endometriosis had affected work in 51% of the women and affected relationships in 50% of the women at some time during their life. Dysmenorrhoea was reported by 59%, dyspareunia by 56% and chronic pelvic pain by 60% of women. Quality of life was decreased in all eight dimensions of the SF-36v2 compared with norm-based scores from a general US population (all P < 0.01). Multivariate regression analysis showed that number of co-morbidities, chronic pain and dyspareunia had an independent negative effect on both the physical and mental component of the SF-36v2. LIMITATIONS, REASONS FOR CAUTION The fact that women were enrolled in tertiary care centres could lead to a possible over-representation of women with moderate-to-severe endometriosis, because the participating centres typically treat more complex and referred cases of endometriosis. The response rate was relatively low. Since there was no Institute Review Board approval to do a non-responder investigation on basic characteristics, some uncertainty remains regarding the representativeness of the investigated population. WIDER IMPLICATIONS OF THE FINDINGS This international multicentre survey represents a large group of women with endometriosis, in all phases of the disease, which increases the generalizability of the data. Women still suffer from frequent symptoms, despite tertiary care management, in particular chronic pain and dyspareunia. As a result their quality of life is significantly decreased. A patient-centred approach with extensive collaboration across disciplines, such as pain specialists, psychologists, sexologists and social workers, may be a valuable strategy to improve the long-term care of women with endometriosis. En la actualidad es posible contemplar una modificación en la mentalidad de gobierno sobre el sistema educativo y cómo éste debe aportar al mercado laboral sujetos 'competentes', formados según sus requerimientos que contribuyan al desarrollo económico de las naciones. El artículo pretende analizar el proceso de gobierno de la relación entre educación y trabajo desde el punto de vista de los tipos de conocimientos y prácticas pedagógicas que se constituyen en legítimas. En ese sentido se hace necesario el estudio y conceptualización de las nuevas formas de recontextualización del conocimiento oficial a ser transmitido en los sistemas educativos en relación con el 'mundo del trabajo'. También se trabaja sobre cómo es el proceso de pedagogización en formatos organizacionales y curriculares, los criterios utilizados para su distribución en los diversos fragmentos de los sistemas educativos, así como en el tipo de identidades pedagógicas que construye, en el contexto de identidades laborales y socio-políticas de los sujetos individuales y colectivos.
