Human beings' motor capacity development is essential, because it facilitates movement, enabling the performance of motor activities and others. In pre-school, boys and girls acquire the motor capacity development considered basic that, through several factors such as neurological maturation, which is in charge of providing more complete movements, and body growth, which has the goal of a better body domain, makes them improve individually the performance of motor abilities, but it can minimize them if laterality does not develop spontaneously. There by, this study focused on assessing the neurological development between genders of students engaging in fundamental school. Forty-three children of both genders at age six took part in this study. The evaluation occurred through the LEFÉVRE protocol (1976), which aims at assessing the maturity and development of the Nervous System through tests of the Evolutionary Neurological Exam (ENE), which comprises a series of tests involving specific tasks, regarding age in the static balance items, dynamic balance, appendicular coordination, trunk-member coordination, motor persistency, sensibility and synkinesis. Neurological development comparisons were performed between boys and girls for each item of the battery of tests. The results of the motor persistency and sensitiveness and sensorial activity tests were below the average for six-year-old children, but there was not any difference in gender comparison for each item of the battery of tests, only a small tendency for one of the genders, but meaningless, having a variance in only two tests of the synkinesis exam (Foot-hand and paper ball with the dominant hand), in which boys had a bigger percentage of synkinesis presence than girls did. In humans, psychic and motor skills are interdependent, and therefore, cannot fail to take into account the influence of a good psychomotor development in the prevention of learning difficulties. Another factor that interferes with the learning process is the social. Family problems, socioeconomic status of the child, among others, may be associated with learning difficulties and, consequently, the student's performance. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate through the elements of psychomotor, if a delay in neuropsychomotor development may be related to the presence of learning problems in children entering elementary school. Also, determine whether there were differences regarding the presence or absence of these difficulties in students from middle and low social class and have family problems or not. For this, we analyzed two classes of 49 students from 1 year of elementary education at a public school in the city of Bauru/SP, aged between 6 and 7 years. These students were tested for the ENE proposed by Lefèvre (1976) to assess the maturity of the nervous system. A pre-designed questionnaire was answered by the teachers of classes to know students' academic performance, learning difficulties presented by them, social status and the presence of family problems. All students participating in the survey had the term sheet signed by the parents, allowing participation in the study. To reach the results, we applied the Anova and Tukey test for comparison analysis of mean age in the performance of ENE. To investigate the existence of a relationship between performance in the ENE and learning difficulties, we used the calculation of Pearson correlation. It is a fact that childhood is a period of play and it is through them that the child meets their interests, express their way to organize, disorganize, build, think, making new discoveries. Therefore, the playful stands as one of the most important and effective in children's learning process forms, as it enables the development of imagination, feelings and fantasies, helping the child progress in their motor, psychomotor, cognitive, and physical skills emotional. This gives her the exercise of attention and memory to play activities adults engage, thus expanding their knowledge about the world. The teacher's role in this process is essential, where it can bring to everyday life of the child in various situations themes, turning the simple play on continuous learning and not just using the play as a complementary activity to the child because they provide pleasure and relaxation which do interact with the new learning and the group operates. The psychology emphasizes that play is essential to the balanced development of the psychosocial human being, because when in childhood, the relationship with the toy and gaming in general develops affectivity, creativity, and reasoning ability. Playing, the child increases their independence by building their knowledge. The aim of this work is to make a theoretical study based on a literature search, aiming to understand the play within the child development process, where it is recognized as very important in a child's learning starting from the theoretical conceptions of thinkers such as Piaget, Vygotsky, Wallon among others. The University is responsible for the stablishment of citizens with critical thinking, based on current concepts, capable of a dynamic and participative attitude in the community in which these professinals will be inserted. Education at environmental sustainability, permeated by the articulation among knowledge, social, and cultural phenomena, brings the challenge of incorporating skills, providing essential values not only for understanding the historical relations between human beings and the environment, but also to improving the quality of life. The “World Conference on Higher Education in the Twenty-first Century: Vision and Action" guides the educational process by its mission to train citizens professionals, highly informed, motivated, integrated and able to create a society based on love of humanity and wisdom. The balancing among the basic functions of teaching, research and extension within the University contributes to the student to take ownership of the construction of his own knowledge in a perspective of integral formation of the human being, aware of his social responsibility and policy for a society environmentally sound. This paper aims to, guided by literature review, present some considerations on the role of the University in education for environmental sustainability.

To understand the implications of lead contamination contributes to more effective public politics to eliminate exposure to the metal and orientation of interventions that minimize their effects. In this paper we intended to evaluate the effects of lead contamination in children, with the Teste de Desempenho Escolar (TDE). In Study 1, transversal, aimed to evaluate the influence of blood lead levels in 28 participants of both sexes, of seven to fifteen years, divided into two groups according to the level of contamination. In Study 2, longitudinal study aimed to evaluate the effects of contamination on the school ,performance of 10 children at an interval of four years. Results showed significant underperformance for children with higher levels of contamination and that the level of academic performance remains significantly lower than expected for the series in which they find themselves. The data seem to indicate the deleterious effects of lead contamination in school performance.

Teaching resources involve different elements used to support the organization of teaching and learning. Among these are the comic books, involving visual aspects, both cognitive and creative, that provide an alternative way to complement the lectures. The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate a comic book entitled “Human Body”, focusing on the circulatory, digestive, nervous and respiratory systems, to provide an alternative resource for the teaching of the content in the initial years. The material was evaluated with students of the 5th year of elementary education at a public school in the state of São Paulo, through the use of questionnaires. The comic book proved to be valid as a complementary teaching resource for learning in students, enabling reflection on the relevance of the development and use of comics to science education in the initial years.

A doença de Chagas é uma doença parasitária causada pelo protozoário Trypanosoma cruzi (T. cruzi), que acomete o sistema digestivo e, principalmente, o cardíaco. É uma doença endêmica principalmente nos países da América Latina. A busca por novos fármacos para o tratamento dessa doença é de suma importância já que os existentes podem causar severos efeitos adversos e são efetivos somente na fase aguda. A molécula tiazolilhidrazona-9 (TZH-9) tem se destacado como uma excelente candidata a fármaco para tratamento da doença de Chagas e a continuidade de seu desenvolvimento deve envolver estudos de farmacocinética e metabolismo. Para a realização destes estudos é necessário o desenvolvimento e validação de um método bioanalítico para a determinação do composto em plasma, assim como avaliar a estabilidade do fármaco nesta matriz biológica com o intuito de verificar a ação de enzimas plasmáticas. Neste trabalho, foi desenvolvido e validado o método bioanalítico para quantificar o TZH-9 em plasma de ratos e humano que apresentou limites de confiança adequados. Também, avaliou-se a estabilidade do TZH-9 nessas matrizes biológicas, em plasma de ratos, o composto apresentou instabilidade após 2 horas na concentração inferior, sugerindo ação de enzimas plasmáticas no seu metabolismo; e em plasma de humanos, apresentou instabilidade após 15 minutos em ambas concentrações, sugerindo a susceptibilidade a ação das enzimas plasmáticas

To select pedagogical practices that allow the development of psychic function thinking and psychic function language. It's necessary understanding the whole psyche human, postulated by Vygotsky. The action of playing, the main activity of the children in the childhood education, can enhance the resilience of the psychic functions, once it provides stimulus and may include teacher's intervention during its deployment. For a better intervention, this planning in light of a theory is primordial, as well as the reflection on this practice. This research aimed to find the moment of the activities that took place the development of these functions, language and thought, in children who are in the early years of the childhood education. The survey was conducted through a qualitative interpretation approach, as action research. Data analysis allowed us to observe planned teaching practices in which enabled the development of language and thought and consequently a qualitative leap in the other psychic functions
