The academies are important spaces for dissemination of physical activity and one of the own market niches of Physical Education professionals. The preparation of these professionals takes place in universities facing the transformation of the body through specific physical activities related to the different objectives pursued by the students of academies with what they can offer. Expected to identify the motivations that lead people to academies and whether such motivations are met by the academies. The study was conducted in two academies in the city of Rio Claro, SP, that meet different audiences by purchasing power. Nesta pesquisa, buscamos aproximar o atletismo das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC). Entre a variedade de recursos que constituem as Novas Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação, escolhemos aqui, utilizar os vídeos disponíveis no Youtube, visto sua popularidade e por ser uma ferramenta de fácil acesso hoje em dia. Para interligar o atletismo vivenciado em Centros de Treinamento das Prefeituras Municipais, ONGs, Clubes e Projetos Sociais tivemos como objetivo investigar, na internet, os recursos didáticos disponíveis relacionados ao atletismo, especificamente vídeos do Youtube, produzindo um material didático digital que possa auxiliar profissionais de Educação Física que trabalham com o atletismo para crianças. Para estruturar esse material, utilizamos a Pedagogia do Esporte em seus três referenciais: Técnico-tático; Socioeducativo e Histórico-cultural como forma de incentivar técnicos e praticantes para vivenciar o esporte para além dos gestos motores, integrando valores afetivos, sociais e cognitivos a sua prática. Sendo assim, foram selecionados, através do Youtube, 171 vídeos relacionados com o ensino do atletismo pautado na Pedagogia do Esporte. Desses 171 vídeos: 75 estão relacionados ao Referencial Técnico-tático, 29 ao Referencial Socioeducativo e 67 ao Referencial Histórico-cultural. Desta forma, os vídeos foram organizados em banco de dados, separados pelas suas características. Através deste banco de dados, foi possível confeccionar um material didático digital no formato de CD/ROM com a proposta de subsidiar o trabalho...

Patients with primary malignant brain tumor endure several motor and cognitive dysfunctions, demanding the presence of a caregiver even more because the time necessary for their assistance increases considerably. Usually this task is performed by a family relative, whose activities include taking care of the patient’s personal hygiene, escorting them to medical appointments, managing their money and performing their housework. All of this overwhelms the caregiver both physical and psychologically. This bibliographic research intends to analyze the role in which a caregiver plays in the quality of life of those kinds of patients, the complications of such task, the caregivers’ needs and the daily life of those terminal patients. It was used CAPES, PubMed and Google Academic databases for researching articles related to family caregivers who assisted adult patients with primary malignant brain tumor. The study concluded that being a caregiver of patients in such conditions harms one’s quality of life, with consequences such as stress, insomnia, financial problems and lack of social support. Theirs needs include: having someone to talk to about the matter, attending programs for reducing stress and increasing their knowledge about the disease. In advanced phases of the condition, the patient shows great mobility problems, aphasia and regular seizures, which end up overwhelming the caregiver. The level of quality of life found was above other types of cancer’s caregivers. Therefore, they represent a group with special needs, which should be especially handled by health professionals.

La violencia contra los niños es, sin duda, un grave problema por resolver, dado el impacto de sus efectos en todos los sectores sociales, especialmente salud. Este artículo tiene por objeto presentar los principales aspectos relacionados con la notificación obligatoria de casos de maltrato infantil por los profesionales de la salud. A pesar de obligatoria, la literatura demuestra la negligencia de los responsables de notificar. Para la notificación a convertirse en una práctica entre los profesionales es necesario saber acerca del tema, el soporte institucional, la conciencia de la importancia de este proceso y sobre todo la voluntad para tomar actitudes.

Each year individuals have sought a better quality of life and work, in this case, the science of Bio-insurance needs to keep up with technological advances and the needs of society to minimize or eliminate the risks of accidents. This study evaluated the most common accidents involving health staff from 2007 to 2011 in Araçatuba-SP. 478 accidents were recorded, and 78.7% with percutaneous involvement, 9% with intact skin, 4% with no skin intact, with 7.3 mucous and 1.05% other types of exposures. Most accidents were caused by needles with lumen (68.0%), followed by other agents (14.1%), accidents with blades (8.5%) or needles without lumen (5.5%); 3.7% did not answer and 0.2% were accidents with glasses. When checking the condition in which the accident occurred, 26.0% did not specify, 25.1% occurred in the disposal and / or handling sharp objects, 12.0% at the time of drug administration, 6.9% puncture, 3.7% occurred during recapping the needle. These data show that the most common accidents are those involving needles with lumen and / or sharp objects and due to these factors, the industry of health materials have sought alternatives to minimize such accidents as needles with protective, vacuum collection . Thus, it appears that reporting accidents is important for the development of technical and / or safer materials for patients and health workers.

Introduction: The violence against children and teenagers severely damages physical health and psychological development of their victims. Health professionals are in a strategic position to detect cases of assault and legally obliged to report such cases, even suspected. Objectives: This study aimed to assess the knowledge of health professionals who work in the National Health System (SUS) on reporting of violence against children and adolescents. Methods: We conducted interviews with 54 primary care team of four cities from the region of São José do Rio Preto. Results: Through the study could be seen that 92.6% of respondents suspected or witnessed violence against children exercising their profession in the SUS. About Order 1968/2001, 75.5% of practitioners claim ignoring it. 96.2% were not informed about completing the notification form of violence. 88.9% do not know about the existence of the same workplace. The association between obtaining information on work and the act of notification was significant (p = 0.0276). Conclusion: The professionals are still unaware of the legal issues related to notification. It is suggested that the training of them to deal with the bureaucratic side of the issue, once notify contributes to the delineation of the epidemiology of violence and consequent development of public policies

The training of the dentist should be aligned with the demands of social needs. For this to happen, contents related to the main problems faced by the population, such as domestic violence, must be addressed in their education. The present study aims to evaluate the degree of knowledge of dentists in relation to domestic violence, as well as verify that the Curriculum Grades of five private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and five state HEIs are in accordance with what is required in Curriculum Matrices established for undergraduate dentistry. It is a cross-sectional study with the application of a questionnaire to dentists of Basic Units of a small municipality in the interior of São Paulo and analysis of the Political-Pedagogical projects and curricular matrices of the HEIs. It was found through this research that only 9.1% of dentists know how domestic violence cases are recorded, 20% are familiar with the legislation and all the professionals are not aware of the records of notifications of violence. With respect to the curricula, between 86.37% and 94.12% of the curriculum content is focused on technical disciplines. A lack of professional efforts in addressing the problem in what refers to the identification and reporting of cases and, the lack of awareness of the legislation on the subject was found. There was also the need to adapt the curricula of the HEIs towards an approach of the subject, seeking to adequate them by the demand of the society with regard to the responsibility of the dentist in the treatment, notification and prevention of the phenomenon.
