(Re)lendo os clássicos: trajetos de pesquisa

Neste artigo são abordados quatro momentos da história da pesquisa contemporânea sobre tradução e sua relevância para futuras pesquisas. Trata-se de uma (re)leitura de aspectos de obras que apontam para maneiras de se conduzir pesquisas na área que têm sido pouco examinados, possivelmente por terem sido ofuscados por tópicos de maior impacto tratados pelos autores. Berman é revisitado pela associação que faz entre crítica e história; Venuti, pela proposta de leitura sintomática; Lefevere e Bassnett, pela perspectiva de análise de traduções; e Arrojo, pelo questionamento da suposta neutralidade do sujeito que teoriza.

O estatuto teórico-metodológico do falado e do escrito para a pesquisa em mudança linguística

The objective of this paper is to reflect on the theoretical and methodological status of oral and written data as a source for investigating linguistic change phenomena. The per - spective we adopt here distances itself from a compartmentalized conception of oral and writ - ten texts writing since it is more closely associated with the writers’ relationship with historically and socially established practices of orality and literacy. We conducted an assessment of some of the specialized literature in order to gather arguments to defend the coexistence of written and oral enunciations, understood not as a form of interference, but as a constitutive blend, which, given its hybrid nature, enables the occurrence of the vernacular data, a locus of change also present in written records.

A pesquisa sobre o ensino da relatividade especial e geral: implicações para a prática docente

Em nosso estudo, investigamos as contribuições das pesquisas sobre o Ensino da Teoria da Relatividade Especial e Geral (TREG) e suas implicações para a prática docente. Para tanto, revisamos atas de 03 congressos científicos realizados no Brasil. Mapeamos 44 estudos, os quais foram categorizados de acordo com seus propósitos. Identificamos uma grande quantidade de produções, com foco na análise de conteúdos em livros, na formação de conceitos e na implementação de propostas didáticas, o que permite-nos inferir que, a procura por alternativas para que o ensino da TREG seja realmente efetivado se faz necessária e o aumento de investigações no ambiente escolar parece o caminho mais acertado. Há, também, uma necessidade de investirmos esforços na formação inicial dos professores, para que eles sintam-se seguros para abordar a TREG, quando estiverem em atividade docente.

Estudo da presença e importância atribuída aos animais nos artigos apresentados nos anais do Encontro Pesquisa em Educação Ambiental (EPEA)

Together with the increase of environmental degradation in the past few decades, the environmental education (EE) has emerged and grown all around the world. It is worrying the frequent assigning of stereotypes to the animals and the cases of disrespect to them. For these matters it was studied the presence and importance attributed to animals in the annals of six editions of an event of great significance in the field of Environmental Education, the meetings Pesquisa em Educação Ambiental (EPEAs). The animals were chosen for deserving more attention in the preservationist context, besides allowing the use of a great extent of activities in EE, regarding scholar and non-scholar organizations. The articles that presented descriptors related to animals in the title, keywords or abstract were analyzed in depth and characteristics such as segmentation of the studied population, locations where jobs tend to be performed, prevailing aspects and didactic material production, among others, were investigated and compared. It was also verified which current trends on Environmental Education currents are more frequently presented in the EPEAs articles, in order to map the Environmental Education in Brazil in the past few years, using as a basis an important theoretical framework in the area. Through the use of descriptors it was possible to define the articles that would be analyzed in depth, which is less than 6% of the total work published and represents that, until the sixth edition, the EPEAs have a minor amount of works concerning animal matters. In many of these articles animals were superficially worked, which demonstrates the necessity of approaches not only involving more the animals, but also addressing the complex environmental matter. O pequi no noticiário: análise dos resultados de uma pesquisa na busca do site Folha de S. Paulo

Among the fruit species of the Brazilian Cerrado, the pequi is much popular in regions where it is extracted. Often it used in typical dishes, on the industry medicinal, cosmetic and handmade, also it studied its potential to produce fuel. Thus, this article sought to ponder about the disclosure of this fruit in the press, by means of the search system's site Folha de S. Paulo and applying content analysis, proposed by Bardin, beyond bibliography and documentary research. The justification for this research is that the pequi is a fruit of great importance in the economy and sustainable, yet little is spoken about it in the mainstream media. The result is that, by the analysis, little is said about the pequi media and its focus, is principally, cultural journalism, in culinary.

Diagnóstico da pesquisa em biodiversidade no Brasil

Biodiversity is a result of millions of years of biological evolution, and is the component of the system which supports life on our planet. Besides the intrinsic value of each species, all of them as a whole, as well as of the interactions among the species, and their interaction with the physical and chemical environment, result in ecosystem services vital for supporting life on Earth. Because of that, the science of biodiversity is largely recognized as a priority area of scientific investigation both in developed and developing countries. In Brazil, the research on biodiversity can be divided in three parts: 1) discovery and characterization of biodiversity – including marine and human-altered landscapes – systematics and taxonomy; 2) understanding the functioning of ecosystems and environmental services, including in marine and human-altered landscapes; 3) bioprospecting of the chemical diversity of the Brazilian biota.

Bioenergia: desenvolvimento, pesquisa e inovação

Com 27 trabalhos produzidos por pesquisadores do Instituto de Pesquisa em Bioenergia (Bioen), da Unesp, este livro oferece uma ampla visão sobre as áreas que compõem o segmento. Seu principal objetivo é contribuir para melhorar a compreensão dos vários aspectos da bioenergia, em especial no Brasil, que figura entre os países com maior nível de desenvolvimento tecnológico no setor. Os artigos abordam uma série abrangente de questões relacionadas à bioenergia, como a construção genética das plantas de cana-de-açúcar visando ao aumento de produtividade, a disseminação de sementes para estimular a propagação de espécies com potencial energético, etapas de produção de bioenergia, usos do combustível e seus efeitos nos diversos tipos de motores.
