Errores y dificultades en procesos de representación: el caos de la generalización y el razonamiento algebraico

Al respecto de las múltiples angustias surgidas por docentes de matemáticas en formación entorno a las dificultades y errores evidenciados por estudiantes de básica segundaria y media en la construcción de pensamiento algebraico, se expone a continuación para el caso de la generalización algebraica los hallazgos logrados desde la investigación que recupera en primera instancia a manera de reseña los referentes teórico conceptuales, las definiciones pertinentes y la clasificación de las dificultades y errores en la educación matemática especialmente en el caso de algebra; de igual manera se detallan características y acuerdos conceptuales entorno a razonamiento, razonamiento algebraico; esta ponencia evidencia los presupuestos e ideales para la educación matemática y la enseñanza del algebra para finalmente establecer la relación y justificación conceptual entre: sistemas de representación (errores); las dificultades (comprensión) y razonamiento algebraico. Con la exposición de ejemplos logrados en las experiencias de aula y analizados producto del trabajo de campo en este estudio, se presenta a manera de propuesta los comentarios, reflexiones y recomendaciones que permitirán al futuro docente de matemáticas diseñar un modelo de competencia formal y cognitivo para entender y actuar en situaciones de la enseñabilidad que se dan en el entorno educativo en especial en relación al razonamiento algebraico.

Ecuaciones de segundo grado: su historia

Presentamos una reseña del tratamiento que daban distintas culturas antiguas a problemas que en el lenguaje del álgebra actual nos remiten a ecuaciones de segundo grado. Recorreremos, sin pretender ser exhaustivos, parte del camino que transitaron culturas como la babilónica, griega, hindú, árabe hasta la resolución dada por François Viète.

Valoración de impacto ambiental por pesticidas agrícolas.

El uso de agroquímicos en Argentina se ha fortalecido junto con la expansión agrícola. El objetivo de este trabajo es la elaboración de una metodología para calcular el impacto ambiental que los pesticidas causan en el medio ambiente teniendo en cuenta los siguientes factores: "ecotoxicología": categoría toxicológica, toxicidad en abejas, aves y peces; "Toxicidad humana": carcinogenicidad, neurotoxicidad, alteraciones endocrinas, genotoxicidad y capacidad irritativa; "Comportamiento ambiental": la persistencia en el agua / sedimento, persistencia en el suelo y bioconcentración. Estos factores fueron clasificados como bajo, medio, alto o muy alto, de acuerdo con su nivel de toxicidad. Los resultados indican que los plaguicidas más tóxicos son los insecticidas. La mayoría de los pesticidas utilizados son la toxicidad media (43,75%), seguido de baja y alta toxicidad (21,88%) y, los de muy alta toxicidad (12,5%). La metodología propuesta podría ser utilizada como una herramienta de monitoreo, gestión o educación ambiental.

Adaptation to the Environment: Changes in Initial Projects in Ottoman Shephardic Press

The origins of Sephardic press date back to the mid-20th century, when the influence of the Western world spread across the Sephardim communities of the East. The content of these newspapers was diverse: pieces of general interest, but also scientific, literary and humorous works, with various political orientations. These papers were published in different languages, writing styles and alphabets. Those to be analysed here, however, were published in aljamiado Judeo-Spanish: three papers from Smyrna and one from Salonica. Throughout this work we will focus on the different obstacles and difficulties the editors and publishers of this Ottoman Sephardic press had to face to bring their publications to light.

The “re-socialization” of Gypsy women in the literacy courses aimed to the recipients of the Social Integration Revenue Policy of the Region of Madrid

This article studies the gender values that are promoted both in the literacy courses for gypsy women beneficiaries of the Social Integration Revenue Policy of the Region of Madrid and in the events that are organized for this group by public institutions and NGOs. The process of “socialization” that occurs in the educative groups for Gypsy women is focused on constructing an image of what it is to be a “Gypsy modern woman”. Through multiple mechanisms and discursive techniques a specific conception of gender equality is transmitted in these educative spaces. In addition to this, Gypsy women are continually urged to assume certain values and social practices (of gender identity, of "citizenship", of parenting, etc..), while an archetype of "Gypsy Woman" which condenses powerful stereotypes and prejudices about the "Gypsy culture" and the gender relations characteristics of this group is constructed.

Trascendencia del guano de islas en la agricultura y economía del Perú

Reseña el proceso histórico de utilización del guano de islas en el Perú, desde la época de los Incas. Por otro lado, muestra las características del guano como abono en la agricultura dándole un valor productivo y económico a los cultivos del país. Por último, analiza las proporciones adecuadas para utilizarla en las superficies de la tierra de acuerdo del tipo de producto sembrado.

Exploring the potential of early identification and intervention within a college of applied arts

This study probed for an answer to the question, "How do you identify as early as possible those students who are at risk of failing or dropping out of college so that intervention can take place?" by field testing two diagnostic instruments with a group of first semester Seneca College Computer Studies students. In some respects, the research approach was such as might be taken in a pilot study. Because of the complexity of the issue, this study did not attempt to go beyond discovery, understanding and description. Although some inferences may be drawn from the results of the study, no attempt was made to establish any causal relationship between or among the factors or variables represented here. Both quantitative and qualitative data were gathered during. four resea~ch phases: background, early identification, intervention, and evaluation. To gain a better understanding of the problem of student attrition within the School of Computer Studies at Seneca College, several methods were used, including retrospective analysis of enrollment statistics, faculty and student interviews and questionnaires, and tracking of the sample population. The significance of the problem was confirmed by the results of this study. The findings further confirmed the importance of the role of faculty in student retention and support the need to improve the quality of teacher/student interaction. Two commercial diagnostic instruments, the Noel/Levitz College Student Inventory (CSI) and the Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI), provided quantitative data which were subsequently analyzed in Phase 4 in order to assess their usefulness as early identification tools. The findings show some support for using these instruments in a two-stage approach to early identification and intervention: the CSI as an early identification instrument and the LASSI as a counselling tool for those students who have been identified as being at risk. The findings from the preliminary attempts at intervention confirmed the need for a structured student advisement program where faculty are selected, trained, and recognized for their advisor role. Based on the finding that very few students acted on the diagnostic results and recommendations, the need for institutional intervention by way of intrusive measures was confirmed.

« El Paso » de lo teatral a lo cinematográfico. Reflexiones en torno a la mediación de la precariedad

Ce travail prétend mener une réflexion sur l’exercice possible de l`intermédialité, l’adaptation pour le cinéma de la pièce El Paso de la troupe de théâtre La Candelaria de Bogotá-Colombie. Après avoir fait un bref résumé du mouvement du Nouveau Théâtre Colombien, la pièce est contextualisée historiquement en prenant comme point de départ la fable. La réflexion se fait sur les possibilités expressives des deux langages théâtral et cinématographique, à partir de l`utilisation de l`espace dans les deux médias. La précarieté dans laquelle vivent les personnages de l`histoire influence également l`économie de la mise en scéne. La précarieté est associée à la vulnérabilité de la vie et le hors champ abordé comme un dispositif permettant la médiation de la précarieté, dans les deux médias. A partir de cette caractéristique estétablie une relation par rapport à la réalité physique qu`établit Siegfried Kracauer, puis nous entrons dans l`étude du hors champ théâtral et cinématographique et de sa relation à la musique. Enfin, des spéculations sont faites quant aux possibilités d´une versión cinématographique.

Estudio de caso DMT y síndrome autista: aportes para una intervención desde una terapia por el arte.

El tema de la tesina es ¿DMT y Síndrome Autista: aportes para una intervención desde una terapia por el arte¿. El trabajo se centra en un estudio de caso de una joven con retraso mental severo, con diagnóstico de TGD o autismo de alto funcionamiento. La presentación está organizada en tres partes, en la primera expongo el tema de la tesina, describo sus objetivos y el marco teórico referencial: explicación del diagnóstico, fenómenos transicionales, autoterapia del niño autista, DMT y autismo, juego y creatividad. En la segunda parte, llevo a cabo la reseña del estudio de caso: desarrollo de sesiones, proceso cronológico de las mismas y proceso personal. La tercera parte está destinada a las conclusiones y reflexiones personales.

Vela ligera : manual básico de iniciación.

Manual cuyo objetivo es ser un documento de consulta y guía a cualquier aprendiz, monitor o profesor que pretenda acercar el deporte de la vela ligera al ámbito escolar. En la estructura básica de este deporte se incluyen habilidades y contenidos referidos a valores, normas de seguridad y reglamento, así como las derivadas actitudes de respeto, mejora y conservación del medio natural. El contenido de este manual comienza con una breve reseña histórica sobre las embarcaciones y el nacimiento de la navegación. En los capítulos siguientes se expone el concepto de vela ligera, los elementos constitutivos de una embarcación, la relación viento-barco-agua, aspectos meteorológicos, condiciones de seguridad (señales, vestimenta, estado físico, etc.), aspectos técnicos y tácticos y los aspectos reglamentarios. Al final se ofrece una ficha de autoevaluación para comprobar el aprendizaje y un vocabulario náutico.
