Baseado em ampla pesquisa de campo, o trabalho analisa a situação da mulher em um setor economicamente tradicional, o calçadista, no qual parte importante da mão de obra pertence ao sexo feminino. A autora buscou, principalmente, compreender a atual cultura organizacional das empresas calçadistas, partindo da análise da gestão feminina, que vem crescendo no setor. Foram ouvidas tanto gestoras como operárias e, de acordo com a autora, os estudos reforçam a percepção inicial de que a divisão sexual é ainda profundamente marcante na indústria de calçados, com grande prejuízo para as operárias e para as próprias gestoras. Embora estas últimas tenham aberto espaços, o fizeram enfrentando preconceitos e desconfianças da cadeia produtiva, que ainda persistem. Certamente por isso, terminam por reproduzir a essência do conservador e ideologicamente predominante mundo masculino, onde os trabalhadores - e especialmente as mulheres- são tratados como mercadorias, não havendo lugar para a valorização pessoal, equidade nas contratações, planos de carreira e igualdade nas conquistas

Esta obra parte do pressuposto de que os processos de mudança tecnológica dependem não só das iniciativas de inovação promovidas pelas empresas, mas de diversos outros fatores que as sustentam. E por terem um caráter sistêmico, esses fatores coevoluem com o ambiente em que estão inseridos. A partir dessa visão, o economista Lourenço Galvão Diniz Faria analisa as dimensões do Sistema Setorial de Inovação (SSI) do setor automotivo - a demanda, o regime tecnológico e a base de conhecimento, os atores e as instituições envolvidas. Por meio de uma análise multidimensional, o autor busca compreender de que forma essas dimensões se relacionam entre si e definem os movimentos de todo o sistema. São apresentadas questões teóricas em torno dos processos de inovação e sua importância para a competitividade das empresas e o crescimento econômico. Também se discute o conceito de sistemas de inovação. No capítulo final do livro, o autor aplica a metodologia do SSI ao setor automotivo nos últimos dez anos, possibilitando uma visão sobre as diversas mudanças pelas quais o sistema vem passando, como a incorporação da microeletrônica aos automóveis, o investimento em alternativas de propulsão e as alterações na relação entre montadoras e determinados tipos de fornecedores, o que tem levado a um regime de coparticipação no desenvolvimento dos veículos. O livro demonstra, enfim, o significativo crescimento da complexidade e do dinamismo do SSI na fabricação de automóveis

Arguments that lean manufacturing can positively relate with the operational performance of companies have been spreading the literature since the 1990s. However, there is a theoretical and empirical gap on this issue that needs further empirical evidence to validate or refute these arguments to the Brazilian reality. Hence, this research aims to, empirically, verify if the lean manufacturing positively influences the performance of the operations of companies in the Brazilian automotive industry, focusing on the segment of automotive parts and components. Methodologically, we carried out a survey of 75 companies in the mentioned sector. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling, a second-generation multivariate analysis. The main results of this research are: in fact, lean manufacturing positively affects the operational performance of the studied companies, validating the main hypothesis stated in this article, but this relation is just considered weak, although positive; all lean manufacturing practices analyzed were encountered in the reality, especially for the variable continuous improvement, with the highest average and the correlation between the adoption of Kanban and Just in Time; the operational performance construct has some practices/measures identified by the literature, which have not been validated by the studied sector, as innovation (new products) and quality.

The aim of this paper is to verify whether the practices of human resource management have a positive influence on the adoption of lean manufacturing practices in Brazilian companies in the automotive sector. To this aim, we proposed a framework linking these concepts to the proposed research hypothesis. Data collected from 75 companies were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The research demonstrates that human resource management indeed tends to influence the adoption of lean manufacturing practices in a weak-moderate manner.

The lack of risk management can generate disruption in the supply chain, and there is little literature related to the aerospace industry. This article aims at identifying the risk factors for supply chain of the main Brazilian aircraft manufacturer. Nine risk factors specific to aircraft manufacturers were identified: Environmental, Natural and Political, Supply Chain, Business Strategy, Product Management, Indicators, Organization, Productivity, and Quality and Information System. These factors were quantitatively evaluated with respect to their criticality using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The Quality and Productivity factors were considered the most relevant in this study, which can be classified as a single case study. The necessary data were obtained through interviews with professionals from different areas of the studied enterprise.

The focus of this research is centered on organic information production, sharingand use on the enterprise decision making process. The information on the present economy becomes value source for organizations. The organic information is produced on the organization s internal environment been a product of the activities made by execution its functions. Knowing the elements that involve this process gives a great help to managers once the decision making process is permeated by conflicts and different perceptions. Therefore, the organic information can reduce these conflicts on organizational contexts, because it reduces the uncertainness, propitiates more security and more trustworthiness to the decision making process, besides it gives dynamism to people s time involved on the process. The investigated universe was composed by the companies affiliated to Construnova Net, from construction material segment, located at Marilia Region s cities, Sao Paulo State, because it is an important segment which influences the local and regional economy. The methodological proceedings used are based on the qualitative approach which method is related to descriptive and exploratory research. As data collecting instruments were elaborated a structured questionnaire with closed questions and an interview s syllabus which contents are related to the research s aims. As analysis proceedings for the collected data and also to consider the qualitative approach it was chosen the Contents Analysis method from Bardin and more specifically the Categorical Analysis . Consequently, we conclude that it is deficient in production of organic information, or to produce documents that prove and control the activities that are developed within the organization is not satisfactory. The objective of this essay is to examine the trajectory of a clandestine organization that, despite being rather active and frequently cited by the academic literature, has not been very visible in Brazilian history: the Military Sector of the PCB, or Antimil. The particularity of this project is to learn about Antimil’s organizational structure in the process of intervening in the Armed Forces between 1929 and 1945. It does not pretend to evaluate its revolutionary efficacy or all the situations in which it was involved, due to the lack of documentation and specific studies. The revelation of its historical configuration, as an organization in the party structure, is the result of exhaustive research and the narratives of some of its members.
