Presents a developing laboratory within History of Culture, subject taught in the Library and Archive Studies at UNESP (Marilia). The project is based upon the foundations of research line Information and Technology: students from the second under graduation year participate in the improving of 27 entries in Portuguese language Wikipedia. The aim is to capacitate for scientific reading and writing in digital media, habilitate for the information identification and recuperation and for the interpretation and understanding of formal and contents aspects and its reorganization. It includes activities of search, selection, remix and republishing of texts, images, audio and videos in the convergence of diverse hypertext information sources, supported by tutors with strategic abilities in digital environments. In this sense it was adhered to the international Wikipedia Foundation University Campus Ambassadors project. It’s also aimed to induce sharing and collaboration behaviors with the purpose of creating necessary habits for the informational empowerment in Brazil. As methodology is to optimize the work of individuals already trained in wiki culture and to create in within the subject information sharing programs with a more specialized bias, giving greater credibility to the digital environment. The environment syntaxes helps in the learning of the complementary skills of reading and writing and offers itself as an open repository from which information can be reused. It is, thus, an empowerment strategy in the search of autonomy and self reliance considering intersemiotic knowledge in the edition, visualization and understanding of information in the social web. A second step of a verifying research on the environment’s credibility after the consolidation and dissemination of the entries improvement work is proposed.

The focus of this research is centered on organic information production, sharingand use on the enterprise decision making process. The information on the present economy becomes value source for organizations. The organic information is produced on the organization s internal environment been a product of the activities made by execution its functions. Knowing the elements that involve this process gives a great help to managers once the decision making process is permeated by conflicts and different perceptions. Therefore, the organic information can reduce these conflicts on organizational contexts, because it reduces the uncertainness, propitiates more security and more trustworthiness to the decision making process, besides it gives dynamism to people s time involved on the process. The investigated universe was composed by the companies affiliated to Construnova Net, from construction material segment, located at Marilia Region s cities, Sao Paulo State, because it is an important segment which influences the local and regional economy. The methodological proceedings used are based on the qualitative approach which method is related to descriptive and exploratory research. As data collecting instruments were elaborated a structured questionnaire with closed questions and an interview s syllabus which contents are related to the research s aims. As analysis proceedings for the collected data and also to consider the qualitative approach it was chosen the Contents Analysis method from Bardin and more specifically the Categorical Analysis . Consequently, we conclude that it is deficient in production of organic information, or to produce documents that prove and control the activities that are developed within the organization is not satisfactory. O presente trabalho analisa criticamente o Projeto de “Requalificação Urbana Nova Luz”, localizado no bairro de Santa Ifigênia em São Paulo, iniciado no ano de 2005 e atualmente em curso. A área abrangida pelo projeto tem aproximadamente 362 mil metros quadrados, é circunscrita pelas ruas Mauá, Av. Cásper Líbero, Av. Ipiranga, Av. São João e Av. Duque de Caxias. Na abordagem inicial colocada pelo projeto emerge o Planejamento Estratégico com um programa cultural e principal motivador de retorno financeiro aos setores imobiliários e de requalificação urbana. Neste cenário, políticas de revitalização são associadas a programas de promoção cultural de museus e monumentos arquitetônicos, recriando uma nova imagem da cidade. Em diversas literaturas a respeito dos programas de revitalização em áreas centrais, é apontado com freqüência - como resultado desses processos - o surgimento do fenômeno de gentrificação, que implica numa substituição dos antigos moradores dessas áreas por outros com maior poder aquisitivo. Essa dinâmica de produção de um espaço revitalizado é geralmente amparada por flexibilizações de Leis e Instrumentos Urbanísticos, bem como financiamentos de agências multilaterais que fixam parâmetros e exigências para liberação dos recursos

Technological advances and the availability of computational resources have been facilitating the collection and processing of data. Thus, the natural tendency of the monitoring processes is the simultaneous control of various quality characteristics. In automated processes, observations are generally autocorrelated. Studies with univariate graph for processes have shown that the autocorrelation reduces the ability of this signal changes in the process. In this paper, we study the multivariate autocorrelated processes. Through simulations are obtained properties of graphs, monitoring the mean vector, the properties of graphs VMAX, in monitoring the covariance matrix, and the properties of graphs MCMAX, the simultaneous monitoring of mean vector and covariance matrix. Conclude that increasing the autocorrelation and the number of variables being monitored, reduces the power of the graphics in signal of a special cause

The transportation of oil through pipelines raises a concern related to safety and environmental impacts they may cause, especially when exposed to risks that affect their integrity. Among the natural phenomena that can affect the pipelines are erosion and landslides. Considering the large territory involving the pipelines, remote sensing tools have a great applicability for data acquisition. For this, visual analysis techniques were applied to perform change detection in order to monitor erosion features and landslides along a stretch of pipeline Rio de Janeiro – Belo Horizonte, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The work involved the characterization of the study area as well as the erosion and landslide processes, through bibliographical data. The satellite image processing and the application of change detection techniques were developed in two scenes for the years 2002 and 2010. It was noted a small increase in the number of the identified features, however with regard to their area, a decrease of 21.7% was observed

The increase in energy consumption in the world has caused the electrical systems becoming ever larger and more complex. Because of that becomes necessary to use special tools to efficiently manage the equipment present in these systems. Nowadays a tool very used is the remote monitoring of assets which works collecting signals using sensors processing these signals and make them available to the system user. So the user can use informations that may assist him efficiently in making decisions when doing a maintenance. The system is technically efficient since it improves the measurement process and enables the asset management of a substation by using advanced technology for that and economically viable especially in cases where the user is subject to monetary loss due an interruption of power supply

All the time, organizations are seeking ways to relate to their audiences, in order to become stronger institutionally and merchandising. In the era of information technology contacts occur increasingly in virtual form, minimizing the face-to-face. Thus, this study contextualizes the trade fairs as a way to bring business relations / public interest in a real environment and provides the friendly atmosphere, much as in a short time, the company with a large amount of their customers, potential customers, partners, suppliers, and other audiences that may be interesting. However, shows that for the success of these events is a necessary strategic planning, so that subsequent implementation is possible to measure the results. It also envisions the trade fairs getting a new format, that is, their commercial character to give the space for the relational as a way to bring more awareness to organizations and to strengthen ties with their audiences. This beneath the optics of Public Relation as the appropriate professional to manage relationships and therefore be the strategist of the company's participation in a trade fair

The geophysical methods are widely applied in environmental characterization and monitoring studies. The resistivity method, in particular, has a wide area of applications, being effective in studies of solid waste landfills. The present work propose a geophysical monitoring in the Cordeirópolis city controlled landfill and analyze relationships between variation of electrical resistivity parameter, the residence time of the solid waste in landfill, the rainfall in the region and the organic matter biodegradation processes. The study has no monitoring system to control the products generated in the organic matter decomposition found in waste such as sealing blanket or leachate or gas drains. The results shows that the electrical resistivity parameter was effective in monitoring the landfill contamination plume

Interessada em atividades com foco conservacionista, a Ong SOS Cuesta Botucatu foi selecionada pelo programa Petrobrás Ambiental para desenvolver o Projeto Córrego da Cascata no município de Botucatu. Este projeto é uma proposta de mobilização e educação ambiental para envolver a sociedade, principalmente a população ribeirinha, na gestão e no planejamento estratégico de recuperação e conservação ambiental da Microbacia Hidrográfica do Córrego da Cascata. O foco do projeto é promover a reversão dos processos de degradação e planejar ações estratégicas integradas e participativas de manejo e de gestão para a preservação da qualidade ambiental desse córrego urbano, por meio de uma caracterização socioambiental da referida Microbacia. Em relação à caracterização ambiental, o presente estudo refere-se ao levantamento da mastofauna em fragmentos de Mata Atlântica situados na área da Microbacia. O levantamento dos mamíferos terrestres de médio e grande porte foi realizado no período de abril de 2011 a fevereiro de 2012, com a utilização de dois métodos: parcelas de areia e câmeras trap. Outros dois métodos complementares também foram utilizados na tentativa de conseguir resultados que, invariavelmente, não seriam obtidos com as metodologias acima, como entrevistas e registro de atropelamentos. O objetivo é avaliar a riqueza da mastofauna da região comparando com trabalhos anteriores feitos em fragmentos com características semelhantes aos inseridos na Microbacia do Córrego da Cascata, Botucatu, São Paulo. Foram registradas 14 espécies de mamíferos pertencentes a sete Ordens distintas, sendo duas espécies consideradas ameaçadas. Houve predominância de registros de animais generalistas/oportunistas em áreas com menor diversidade de mastofauna

As an effect of the imbalance caused by the damming of rivers and pollution, it has been observed a growing aquatic plants infestation in reservoirs for the generation of electricity. In addition to power generation, these sites have also been used for various other purposes, including recreation, attracting water and navigation. Thus it is important to evaluate these water bodies periodically, in order to verify the leading conditions to the growth of algae, plants and other organisms. In this sense, Remote sensing technology can be a valuable tool for mapping and monitoring the occupation of land in the vicinity of the water body and the optical properties of water, to provide subsidies for the effective management of these aquatic environments. This paper aims to perform the monitoring of the occurrence of aquatic plants in Salto Grande Hydropower Reservoir, located in Americana (SP) and, periodically, map the occupation of land in the vicinity of the water body, through multispectral images taken by sensors on the satellites Landsat series in seven consecutive years: 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. O século passado foi marcado por grandes avanços tecnológicos na agricultura que culminaram com a chamada “Revolução Verde”, a qual é hoje, comprovadamente, considerada como um modelo insustentável. Tal fato tem motivado instituições científicas e agricultores a buscarem por novos paradigmas para a produção. A agroecologia tem se destacado por abordar o manejo de agroecossistemas dentro de uma visão holística, sistêmica e participativa, subsidiando a recuperação das suas funções e a autonomia durante a transição agroecológica. Nesse contexto, a utilização de ferramentas para avaliação e monitoramento do processo, como a análise de indicadores de sustentabilidade, é fundamental. O presente estudo teve como objetivo monitorar participativamente o grau de sustentabilidade de duas unidades de produção orgânica em Jaguariúna-SP, após cinco anos de uma primeira avaliação. Foram analisados 81 indicadores, abordando quatro dimensões da sustentabilidade: ambiental, social, econômica e política. Os resultados foram obtidos de forma consensual e participativa entre pesquisadores e agricultores, enriquecendo o estudo. Do ponto de vista global, houve um leve avanço no grau de sustentabilidade das duas propriedades. No entanto, ambas continuam no mesmo nível de transição agroecológica apresentado em pesquisa realizada em 2005.
