This work evaluated the hydrogeochemistry of the Guarani Aquifer in the urban area of Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo State. Thirty one sampling points were established and it was carried out field campaigns in 7 and 8 July 2005, analyzing the following parameters: conductivity, temperature, pH, turbidity, color, dry residue, dissolved oxygen, Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+, Fe3+, Al3+, HCO3-, SO42-, PO43-, NO3-, Cl- and F-. The results indicated that the groundwaters in the urban area of Ribeirão Preto pH possess slightly acid, low conductivity, turbidity, color and dissolved oxygen inside the limits established for drinking waters. The ionic composition indicated that the groundwaters have low cations and anions concentration, being they classified as soft water and calcium-bicarbonated. Statistical tests suggested that conductivity and pH are controlled for the calcite dissolution (CaCO3) during the water/rock interaction process. Besides, it is possible to conclude that the high NO3- and PO43- concentrations found in the groundwater in the urban area of Ribeirão Preto are originated due to anthropogenic activities.

El proyecto en torno a las condiciones socio-laborales del servicio domestico en Colombia es amplio y procura la transformacion ideologica de lo que se entiende por servicio domestico. El primer material educativo consiste en un boletin basico de las normas laborales como paso inicial de seminarios y charlas sobre la legislacion complementada con asesoria legal a las propias afectadas. Estas acciones se han realizado en Bogota y se estan iniciando en Cali y durante un ano se han atendido a 3.500 personas en liquidacion de sus funciones y a 1.500 en asistencia juridica y legal (p164). La segunda etapa del proyecto consiste en trabajar no solo con la empleada sino tambien con la patrona y se encuentra en sus inicios. En terminos globales, el proyecto ha difundido material de utilidad que esta actualmente en manos de abogados y juristas, habiendose realizado seminarios con diversas instancias del Ministerio del Trabajo.

Nowadays, aesthetics is very appreciated in the social context and a attractive smile is the object of desire in most of patients requiring prosthesis treatment. In case of removable prosthesis, total or partial, this feature is more significant since some or all teeth may be absents. Implants leading to a significant improvement in relation to function and comfort of removable prosthesis users, but the aesthetics of these prostheses had little attention in the current scientific literature. Thus, the aim of present article was to make a review of the literature on the aesthetic features related to rehabilitation with removable prostheses. In present study we found as significant factors for the aesthetics in removable partial and total prostheses: Selection of artificial teeth and their arrangement, characterization of acrylic resin basis and also the types and location of retainers for the removable partial prostheses. We conclude that the involvement and the aesthetic knowledge during the appropriate planning of this process is responsibility of the professional.
