Micro-fungos de interesse para o setor de petróleo, gás e biocombustíveis

Oil is a hydrocarbon mixture of various sizes, including saturated and aromatic compounds. Natural gas is a mixture of gaseous hydrocarbons and its main component is methane. In our society, the great demand for these fuels requires fast extraction, transportation and refining, increasing the number of accidents that compromise the environment. Oil is a finite resource and it is necessary to reduce the problems related to the question concerning environmental pollution which has encouraged the search for alternative fuel sources in our country. So today we have two major biofuels: ethanol and biodiesel. Concurrently, many studies have been done directed toward the isolation of microorganisms capable of degrading petrochemical industrial wastes, most of them using as a source of isolation soil and water collected in a contaminated environment. Isolation from alternative substrates has emerged as a new strategy that has provided satisfactory results. In this work, we present the leaf-cutter ants of the Attini tribe as a source for the isolation of micro-fungi with the potential for hydrocarbon degradation. These insects have a social way of life and a highly specialized system of intra and interspecific communication, which is based on the recognition of individuals through volatile chemical compounds, the majority hydrocarbons, stored in their exoskeleton. The micro-environment exoskeleton of Attini ants (genus Atta) used in this work proved to be a rich source of microbial biodiversity, as other studies have found. The flotation isolation technique applied here allowed the achievement of 214 micro-fungi, 118 representatives of the dematiaceous fungi group and 96 hyaline filamentous fungi. They were submitted to toluene degradation tests and at least one strain of each genus presented good results, namely Teratosphaeria, Exophiala, Cladosporium, Penicillium, Aspergillus... The website was developed based on the study of writing for children and digital platform, with the goal of articulating the needs of the public child with the potencial of the web. The site's purpose is to be an option for girls in mediasphere, produced exclusively for digital media and focused on the needs of content and language of the target public. This one, also aims to fill gap in existing demand in digital journalism child, to provide material to children in an environment where this group already exist

Desenvolvimento de extensões para um sistema de carregamento e descarregamento de navios

One of the reasons that influences the efficience of a port terminal that is especialized in movement of containers is in the process of their loading and unloading. The fundamental idea is to determine a plan, to each port in order to decrease the number of total movement of loading and unloading that are necessary during the ship route to every port so that they save time and consequently reduce costs. The goal of this research was to present improvement in the program, written in language C, used to solve to problem of loading and unloading of ships, a NP-complete problem, through the meta-heuristics Simulated Annealing. With the improvement made, an average of 50% reduction of necessary time was gotten to solve the problem in 45 analised instances and in a specific group of these instances the average reduction reached 77 and in 10 instances there was even an improvement in the solution

Papel de Syncephalastrum racemosum como antagonista do fungo cultivado pelas formigas cortadeiras

Currently, the major method for controlling leaf-cutting ants uses toxic baits containing the insecticide sulfluramide. Such compound presents harmful effects to the environment and to human health, which drive the community’s concerns towards new strategies for controlling these insects. Previous studies showed the occurrence of Syncephalastrum racemosum in nests of the leaf-cutting ants submitted to treatments using insecticides. In order to understand the role of S. racemosum in nests of leaf-cutting ants, the present work investigated the antagonism of S. racemosum towards the leaf-cutting ant-cultivar (Leucoagaricus gongylophorus). Using in vitro essays, we co-cultivated L. gongylophorus and S. racemosum (n= 6 lineages). For comparison, we also used the same setup to test one strain of Escovopsis weberi, since this fungus is considered a specialized parasite of the leaf-cutting ant cultivar. All S. racemosum strains inhibited the growth of L. gongylophorus (ANOVA 2 way, F= 23,61, P< 0,01). The same was observed for E. weberi. There were no significant difference between S. racemosum and E. weberi inhibition (Bonferroni test, P> 0,05). In addition, we verified that all S. racemosum strains colonized and sporulated over the fungus garden up to 96 h after garden fragments without workers were inoculated with spores suspensions. Similar results were observed on gardens that were inoculated with spores of E. weberi. The results indicate that S. racemosum act as antagonist of the leaf-cutting ant cultivar. The putative possibility for using S. racemosum as biological control agent of leaf-cutting ants is discussed in the present work

Cartografia temática do atlas de sensibilidade ambiental a derramamentos de óleo do litoral paulista

The objective of this paper is the elaboration and implementation of procedures in a cartographic representation related by fundamental of thematic cartography and graphic semiology for the standardization of the Environmental Oil Spill Sensitivity Maps supported by a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for handling and modeling of a large number of variables. These make up the Environmental Sensitivity Atlas to Oil Spills in Coastal Paulista, and that represents the phenomena that occur in geographic space accurately so as to highlight the importance of each element in the evaluation and protection of areas of greater sensitivity oil. The composition of the cartographic documents considers the Littoral Sensitivity Index (LSI), biological resources and the resources for human use that could be negatively impacted. Thus, the information contained in each map was carefully evaluated before implementation, so that the cartographic representations of various resources, environments, and other ISLs, the reader should issue an immediate message that could be understood clearly, without requiring prior knowledge of specialized. Another aspect was the distribution harmoniously all the elements contained in the document, so that information could be enough without overwhelming it. It was also taken a certain care, so each symbol could be used properly in order that there is no conflict in the information.

Endoscopy of the gastrointestinal tract is a specialized minimally invasive diagnostic method and with both diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities. It is divided into two major groups, the rigid and flexible endoscopy. The first most widely used for visualization of body cavities that do not have a light, like the chest, for example, and the second for those with light as the gastrointestinal tract. In Brazil there are few professionals, veterinary hospitals or clinics that offer this type of service. Thus, endoscopy is an area of expertise of the veterinarian who is in huge expansion and has shown great applicability with excellent results in both clinical medicine and surgical small animals

Jornalismo econômico como exercício da cidadania: uma análise da divulgação econômica na mídia oficial e nos veículos Universo Online e O Estado de São Paulo

The present study had the intention to demonstrate how the language used by official sources of economy helps to keep the limitation and lack of accessibility of economic journalism to non-specialist readers. Over two weeks, we compared the disclosures in the economics editorial office of the site Universo Online and the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo to those cited in official reports. From this analysis of more than 50 issues selected for the sample, was observed how the technical language used by the official press makes more difficult the access to information and citizenship. Besides the comparison and description of the reports, the study involved the content analysis employed in the media. It was noted the presence of biased approaches and materials poorly cleared. The language used in many cases was not appropriate to the type of audience for which the news was heading. One of the most serious problems, perhaps, was the copy and paraphrase of press releases. The reports, most are limited to the specialist showed, contrary to the duty of public transparency, while highlighting the problems, the study also showed well-written texts that indicate a promising future for citizen and economic journalism

Falência renal aguda em pequenos animais

The pets, mostly dogs and cats are susceptible to a variety of situations that can lead to acute kidney failure, such as infection and intoxication, besides other common causes such as dehydration or other pre-existing diseases. The abrupt decrease in renal function in these animals characterizes a severe clinical condition and requires specialized veterinary medical care since it increases the death. Early diagnosis is an important factor for the survival of these animals and so is the appropriate treatment. New technologies on diagnosis and treatment of serious diseases in veterinary medicine have made acute renal failure successfully reversed by hemodialysis in cases where conventional therapy may not be effective. In cases like that, hemodialysis treatment may be the only chance of survival for the animals, which makes this therapy more and more important and necessary, especially in referral centers of veterinary assistance

A empatia, a sensibilização e a formação de professores do ensino público para uma inclusão efetiva de alunos com necessidades educacionais especiais

Special education and inclusion of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in regular classrooms of public schools has being widely discussed in academic and political areas. From Salamanca Declaration signed in 1994, which established that the education of people with special needs should be guaranteed by public system, being offered within regular classrooms said. Along the inclusion process, has been observed an increasingly difficult for teachers to work with these special students. This difficulty comes from an incomplete or inadequate formation, resulting in an education that is not always inclusive. The present work aims to investigate what are the motivational factors that lead teachers, working in public schools, to seek continuing courses of formation in specialized educational services, and what are the possible impediments that eschew them from seeking such courses. Data were collected through questionnaires given to elementary school teachers, from public schools in the city of Rio Claro- SP. With their answer, it could be identified what are the motivational factors of the quest for continuing formation, as well as facts that obstruct this specialization. It could be observed that there is a need for constant training of the education professionals, for them to be able to appropriate of the inclusion as a pedagogical approach, not just a law and far from reality

Acompanhamento farmacoterapêutico de usuários portadores de dislipidemia: um projeto piloto

As Doenças Cardiovasculares (DCV) são a principal causa de morte no mundo e no Brasil. A dislipidemia é um dos principais fatores de risco associados a DCV, o descontrole no perfil lipídico impacta na aterosclerose e na diminuição da sobrevida. A dislipidemia pode ser tratada farmacologicamente ou através de medidas para mudanças do estilo de vida. O farmacêutico, como profissional da saúde especializado em medicamentos, está habilitado para solucionar Resultados Negativos associados a Medicação (RNMs), trabalhar na melhoria da adesão e na educação em saúde. Este estudo tem o objetivo de implementar um projeto piloto de acompanhamento farmacêutico em usuários com dislipidemia diagnosticada. Método: Foram selecionados 20 indivíduos com idade entre 40 e 64 anos, atendidos na unidade básica de saúde Parque São Paulo, do município de Araraquara- SP (Brasil) que eram diagnosticados com dislipidemia há pelo menos 3 meses e eram usuários de pelo menos um medicamento para tratamento da dislipidemia. Os pacientes foram divididos em dois grupos: o grupo controle, que não receberá intervenção farmacêutica e o grupo intervenção que receberá acompanhamento farmacêutico através do método Dáder, durante o período de 4 meses de estudo. Foram investigadas as variáveis sócio-demográficas, as relacionadas aos hábitos alimentares, as terapêuticas (uso de medicamentos, adesão terapêutica); Escala de auto-relato de adesão desenvolvida por Morisky. Os parâmetros bioquímicos/fisiológicos foram mensurados através do aparelho portátil Accutrend Plus(Roche) de medida do colesterol e triglicérides. Dança: biologia e comunicação no processo de socialização humana

A importância da dança e das artes no geral para a espécie humana é evidenciada pela sua marcante presença em todas as sociedades, primitivas ou civilizadas, aparecendo na maioria de suas atividades.A dança faz parte do mundo da comunicação não verbal, expressando, transmitindo muitas informações e apresentando-se com diferentes significados, geralmente associados à comunicação e à interação entre indivíduos. Como movimento ordenado e rítmico,a dança pode ter por base nossas manifestações biológicas, podendo ser considerada como um evento inato e hereditário.Nesse contexto, apresentou-se uma revisão bibliográficaque trata da dança sob uma perspectiva biológica e evolutiva,caracterizando-a nos processos de comunicação e socialização humana. O panorama traçado baseou-se em diferentes áreas de estudo, tentando organizar as ideias e proposições de diferentes autores a respeito deste tema, ainda não tão discutido e nem tão difundido na literatura. Foram consultadas diferentes áreas, em especial a Etologia e a Psicologia Evolucionista, que fazem uma abordagem evolutiva de aspectos da natureza humana.Não foi possível encontrar na literatura uma definição única de dança que a contemplasse da maneira com a qual se gostaria de trabalhar nesta pesquisa.Por isso, foi proposta uma conceituação para as discussões posteriores, tratando a dança sob os seguintes aspectos: comportamento onipresente nos grupos humanos, desde tempos bastante remotos;comportamento significativo para os grupos que a apresentam, sob diferentes aspectos;comportamento que necessita de especialização e desenvolvimento cognitivo para sua realização; comportamento atrelado à sensação de prazer; comportamento que representa um processo de comunicação altamente complexo e especializado; comportamentoritmado, que possa ser tratado num complexo de musicalidade, que envolva a dança... Sala de recursos para deficientes visuais: contribuições para o processo de inclusão escolar

This work is situated in the universe of resource rooms with a focus on the teachinglearning disabled students with low vision and visual in two cities of São Paulo. The paper discusses theoretically the historical emergence of these rooms, the deployment in the State of São Paulo and its importance within the context of school inclusion of students with visual impairments. Its purpose is to conduct a general survey of the operating conditions of the rooms from the perspective of the teacher of students. The results verified the contribution of this service as a complementary tool of the ordinary classroom, the use of specific instructional materials and overall educational performance of students. The results indicate that this type of specialized care while receiving criticism, does not promote segregation, but what about the educational needs of these students, who despite the lack of vision, school performance is equal to or better than the other students in the classroom common, it all depends on family support, and dedication to studies by the student. Research has shown students satisfied with the services provided in the resource room, as well as integration and good relationships between teachers and students. We could also highlight the importance of specific training and mastery of knowledge by the teacher to work with the visually impaired person. At the end the results were sent to the schools of this research object of study so that it can contribute to effective work in the educational process for visually impaired students in resource rooms

Estabelecimento de rotinas de operação e orientações de manutenção para a planta termelétrica do DEN/FEG/UNESP

Steam generation plants have several industrial applications, being important for the national and global energetic matrix. Operational knowledge of steam plants is extremely important to forming a Mechanical Engineer. The facilities from Faculty of Engineering of Guaratingueta have a no operated steam pilot plant, named Thermal Machine Lab. Nowadays, the Energy Department from the faculty cannot explore this lab for its classes, even being essential to consolidate the theoretical concepts with tests simulating industrial applications. The goal of this project was to restore the operational condition of equipment of steam laboratory by fixing the equipment, and creating operational scripts for them. In a close future this lab could be used for classes, research and other applications
