Autocuidado na percepção de pessoas com hanseníase sob a ótica da complexidade

Objective: This study aimed to understand how patients with Hansen's Disease perceive self-care from the complexity perspective. Methods: Qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study based on the Collective Subject Discourse. Results: Sample composed of 15 subjects, most of whom were married males (66.6%) with a mean age of 52.3 years and were classified in the polarized forms of the disease. The following themes emerged from the DCS synthesis: having Hansen's Disease, drug therapy, self-care and lifestyle. The study provided visibility to the vertical model, which is largely hegemonic in the tradition of public health care policies, showing concern about only treating the disease, disregarding the complex relationships involved. Conclusion: Acknowledging these limitations and setting strategies to change them in favor of the dialogue among interprofessional team members are challenges to further develop self-care practices and to empower patients in relation to treatment and disease.

As interfaces da convivência da família em uma unidade de pronto socorro

The aim was to describe the positive and negative aspects in a family communication at an emergency care unit. This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The sample consisted of 20 family members / caregivers of patients admitted to the emergency room of a university hospital. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews applied during the period of May-June 2011. Data analysis was performed using the methodological framework of the Collective Subject Discourse which resulted in four themes: Lack of information compromising the family/health professional ties; The ideal model of information provided by the professional regarding the condition of the hospitalized relative; Assessment of information provided about hospital routines; and The role of the relative/companion. Therefore, for the patient and his family, communication is presented as a tool on the care given with the function of transmitting safety, respect and guidance. However when it is incomplete, it becomes a potential form of stress and dissatisfaction.

O paradigma dualista da hanseníase controle ou eliminação: o período crítico de 2000 a 2005

One of the main tendencies of leprosy worldwide is the simultaneous action of non governmental organizations and official agencies operating eventual different strategies. This paper aims to contribute to such question focusing on some outstanding aspects of respective contemporary evolution. METHODS Application of bibliographic review and contents analysis techniques to primary data from a circumstancial set of open circulation specific publications. RESULTS Successive disagreements registered between both parts refer to the objective to be attained by the fight against the disease, if control or elimination. CONCLUSIONS New perspectives of jointed actions are being searched for now when priority on endemics control is more realistically assumed and social determination is been really considered.

Percepção e Linguagem: Descrição de Figuras Ambíguas por Alunos Universitários da Área Biológica

Departing from a Merleau-Pontyan concept of linguistic mediation of perception, we ran a cognitive experiment, having the goal of studying how the perception of ambiguous figures is expressed in verbal linguage. Two of the figures mix biological and technological forms, while the third mixes two biological forms. We asked a group of a 120 undergraduate Biology students from State University of São Paulo (UNESP) to write about their perception of three ambiguous figures. We made an analysis of descriptive categories that appeared in the responses and used a qualitative method (Discourse of the Collective Subject) to reconstruct the main features of the linguistic expression of preceptual processes. Handball is a team sport invasion, much practiced in Brazilian schools. There are different teaching methods of team sport, and with them different evaluation methods, this study aims to analyze the shared evaluation process of building course with students of a handball design of a municipal school in Bauru in sports initiation and at the end submit an evaluation process. For this study students of a municipal school participants handball classes in the opposite time of curricular classes underwent an interview, besides having been recorded them playing a handball game with number of small participants at the beginning of the post holiday classes July and another three months later as a form of evaluation. After reviewing the videos and interviews, it was concluded that some students had a game performance improves when they were part of the attack, and also had a behavioral improvement, both from actions taken in the game, as respect to the next, thus interpreted by the students themselves. Although it is a difficult task to analyze and quantify the performance of students in Physical Ed classes can complete some improvements, moreover is valid Professor hear the views of students to understand the vision that students have of themselves during the game

Processo de formação de tenistas talentosos

O objetivo do presente estudo foi obter informações a respeito do processo de formação de tenistas talentosos e os consequentes fatores que contribuíram para o alcance do profissionalismo. Para tanto, se utilizou uma amostra de cinco tenistas brasileiros profissionais, caracterizados por terem pontos na ATP (Associação dos Tenistas Profissionais). A pesquisa foi constituída através de um delineamento qualitativo, que utilizou como instrumento uma entrevista composta por três perguntas abertas, elaboradas para explorar o contexto de formação do talento. Para a análise dos resultados foi utilizado o “Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo”. De acordo com os resultados, pode-se observar a importância que os professores tiveram no desenvolvimento destes tenistas talentosos, tanto na iniciação como no treinamento. No que se diz respeito ao planejamento dos treinos, o presente estudo demonstra a falta de profissionalismo nas fases iniciais do processo de formação, e a posterior preocupação apenas quando este atleta demonstra possuir algum potencial para seguir carreira profissional.
