Artes y métodos de pesca en las riveras del lago Titicaca

Expone el nivel técnico que han alcanzado los pescadores que habitan las riveras del lago Titicaca, así como sus artes y métodos de pesca más empleados por ellos. Los resultados presentados durante las labores de campo demuestran que la extracción pesquera del lago, se centra fundamentalmente en la captura del carachi, debido a que es la especie más abundante y de más fácil captura por su costumbre de vivir en lugares cercanos a la playa.

Money and prices in models of bounded rationality in high inflation economies

This paper studies the short run correlation of inflation and money growth. We study whether a model of learning can do better than a model of rational expectations, we focus our study on countries of high inflation. We take the money process as an exogenous variable, estimated from the data through a switching regime process. We findthat the rational expectations model and the model of learning both offer very good explanations for the joint behavior of money and prices.

Aspectos biológico pesqueros de la pesquería industrial de anchoveta y sardina en Pisco y Tambo de Mora. 1995-1998

Presenta los resultados de algunos aspectos biológico pesqueros de la pesquería industrial de anchoveta y sardina en Pisco y Tambo de Mora, en donde se registraron cambios en el ecosistema marino durante los años 1995-1996, considerado como período frío o fenómeno La Niña. Indica que tanto las condiciones frías como las cálidas en el ambiente marino, producen cambios en el comportamiento de los recursos pelágicos, especialmente la anchoveta.

The previously unknown pupa and adult male of Neobezzia fittkaui Wirth & Ratanaworabhan (Diptera, Ceratopogonidae). The pupa of Neobezzia fittkaui Wirth & Ratanaworabhan, 1972, collected from a mat of floating fern (Salvinia auriculata Aubl., Salviniaceae) in Ilha da Marchantaria near Manaus, Brazil and the reared adult male are described, photographed and illustrated for the first time. This is the first detailed pupal description for the genus Neobezzia Wirth & Ratanaworabhan.

Reverse logistics in the editorial sector: An exploratory study

Nowadays, the Reverse Logistics field is becoming very important. On one hand, laws areimposing companies to be responsible for the contamination made by their products. On theother hand, companies have discovered the profits derived from a good Reverse Logisticsprocess. This paper is the result of the work done by a group of companies from the SpanishEditorial sector to understand and improve their Reverse Logistics process. The paperdescribes the characteristics of the Reverse Logistics process in this sector and theimprovements identified by the work group .

Influence of age and diet on the performance of Cephalonomia stephanoderis (Hymenoptera, Bethylidae) a parasitoid of the coffee berry borer, Hypothenemus hampei (Coleoptera, Curculionidae)

The importance of age and feeding on the performance of Cephalonomia stephanoderis (Hymenoptera, Bethylidae), a parasitoid of the coffee berry borer, Hypothenemus hampei (Coleoptera, Curculionidae) was investigated in the laboratory. Groups of female parasitoids were subject to the following treatments: a group fed during one, five and ten days after emergence of adults with coffee borer larvae; another group fed only with honey solution during five days after emergence; and as a control, a third group was kept without food for five days. At the end of each treatment, survivorship, parasitoid activity (walking and flying capacity in an arena), search capacity for finding coffee borer-infested berries, host feeding and oviposition (on immature hosts), were assessed. Unfed females showed a significant decrease in survivorship compared to individuals that were fed. The type of meal (insects or honey) did not significantly influence parasitoid activity, search and oviposition capacities. Females fed with honey solution significantly consumed less immature coffee borers. Younger females (one day old) walked and flew out of the arena significantly faster than older ones (5 and 10 days old). Implications of these results are discussed on the performance of C. stephanoderis as a biological control agent of the coffee berry borer.

Description of the male of Eburella pinima Martins and notes on the geographical distribution of Eburodacrys aenigma Galileo & Martins and Eburodacrys lanei Zajciw (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae)

Description of the male of Eburella pinima Martins and notes on the geographical distribution of Eburodacrys aenigma Galileo & Martins and Eburodacrys lanei Zajciw (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae). The male of Eburella pinima Martins, 1997 is described and illustrated for the first time. Information on Eburodacrys aenigma Galileo & Martins, 2006, previously known only from the female holotype, which lacked locality label, is herein complemented. This species is recorded from Brazil and the male is depicted for the first time. The geographical distribution of Eburodacrys lanei Zajciw, 1958 is further restricted here as some previous records are confirmed to result from misidentifications of E. aenigma.

Notes on distributions for Argentinean Pentatomidae (Heteroptera: Pentatomoidea), with new records in the country

ABSTRACTIn this contribution, we present new distributional records from Argentina of 63 pentatomid species; three genera (Caonabo, Cromata and Taurocerus) and 14 species (Marmessulus brasiliensis, Podisus crassimargo, Cromata ornata, Acledra haematopa, Caonabo pseudocylax, Dichelops avilapiresi, Euschistus cribarius, E. paranticus, Mormidea maculata, Rio indistinctus, Banasa lanceolata, B. nigrifrons, Pallantia macunaima, and Taurocerus edessoides) are reported for the first time from Argentina; also we provided 81 new province records of another 49 species.

A new species of Adoxoplatys Breddin (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae, Discocephalinae) from Argentina

ABSTRACT The genus Adoxoplatys is distributed from Panama to Argentina. The eight included species are known from a few specimens. In this contribution, a new species from Misiones Province, Argentina, Adoxoplatys singularissp. nov., is described and illustrated; and a key to identify the species of the genus is provided.

Delimitación del espacio público y derechos humanos

En aquest treball hem analitzat què és l’espai públic a partir d’un recorregut històric i la importància que en ell juguen els drets i llibertats fonamentals. El límit de la salvaguarda de la seguretat que s’aplica a aquests drets en l’espai públic suposa la reducció d’aquest espai que en principi seria un espai que deuria existir pel caràcter públic d’aquestes llibertats i drets que, segons la nostra constitució, son inherents a la dignitat de l’home. En canvi, a partir de tota la jurisprudència recollida, ens trobem davant d’una reducció d’aquest espai entès com una concessió per part de l’Estat d’uns drets a l’individu que aquest pugui exercir amb uns límits determinats.

Características hidrográficas y sedimentológicas de la bahía de Sechura

En la zona central de la bahía de Sechura afloran principalmente Aguas Costeras Frías. En superficie y en condiciones normales la temperatura fluctúa de 15 a 24 °C, salinidad de 34,8 a 35,3 ups, oxígeno disuelto de 2 a 5,5 mL/L. La capa subsuperficial con valores menores a los de superficie, varían ante eventos El Niño y en menor escala en La Niña. Los sedimentos superficiales predominantes cerca a la costa son textura arenosa con bajo contenido orgánico que se extiende a mayor profundidad hacia el norte de Punta Aguja; textura areno limosa adyacentes a los de arena, ocupan gran extensión de la bahía, asociados con altos contenidos de materia orgánica, pequeñas extensiones de arena arcillosa y limo arenoso frente a la Bocana, Bayovar y Punta Tric Trac. Contenidos de carbonato más altos (70%) de origen biogénico frente a San Pablo, asociados a texturas de arena y arena limosa.

Evaluación poblacional de concha de abanico Argopecten purpuratus, Bahía Independencia – Pisco (10-21 Octubre 2012)

Entre el 10 y 21 de octubre 2012, se evaluó concha de abanico Argopecten purpuratus en los bancos naturales de Bahía Independencia. Temperatura superficial del mar presentó isotermas de 15, 16 y 17 °C desde Morro Quemado hasta Canastones. Densidad poblacional de adultos no superó 6 ind/m2. Biomasa estimada 422,514 t, la población 10,99 millones de individuos; el 19,2% de la población y 51,2% de la biomasa fueron ejemplares de talla comercial (≥ 65 mm). Se midieron 203 ejemplares, entre 3 y 101 mm de altura valvar, moda 49 mm y talla media 44,9 mm. Sexualmente se presentaron estadíos madurante (33,5%), inmaduro (31,5 %), desovante (28,6%) y desovado (5,9 %).
