El text que es presenta mostra com es du a terme la gestió dels llibres electrònics a la Biblioteca virtual (d'ara endavant BV) de la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (d'ara endavant UOC). La BV posa un èmfasi especial en l'adquisició de llibres digitals per millorar l'accés als usuaris als recursos i col¿leccions d'una universitat que es caracteritza per la virtualitat. El document presenta, en primer lloc, l'entorn en què s'adquireixen i s'utilitzen els llibres electrònics: s'expliquen els diferents escenaris d'adquisició en els quals es pot trobar la biblioteca i es defineixen els circuits interns que en permeten la gestió i els processos tècnics dels documents. A continuació es mostren les diferents opcions d'accés i consulta de llibres electrònics que actualment s'ofereixen des de la biblioteca i s'expliquen les anàlisis d'usos d'aquests documents. Finalment es presenten les conclusions a les quals arriba la BV sobre el nou context de llibres electrònics.

Objective: Presenting a Virtual Environment (VE) based on the Protocol of Treatment of Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus type 2, used in Primary Care for evaluation of dietary habits in nursing consultations. Method: An experimental study applied by two nurses and a nurse manager, in a sample of 30 deaf patients aged between 30 and 60 years. The environment was built in Visual Basic NET and offered eight screens about feeding containing food pictures, videos in Libras (Brazilian sign language) and audio. The analysis of the VE was done through questionnaires applied to patients and professionals by the Poisson statistical test. Results: The VE shows the possible diagnostics in red, yellow, green and blue colors, depending on the degree of patients’ need. Conclusion: The environment obtained excellent acceptance by patients and nurses, allowing great interaction between them, even without an interpreter. The time in consultation was reduced to 15 minutes, with the preservation of patient privacy.

Na actual sociedade da informação, a internet tem-se afirmando enquanto ferramenta de comunicação e fonte de informação, tornando importante que as mais variadas instituições marquem presença neste mundo digital online. Neste contexto, os museus têm vindo a adoptar estas ferramentas na sua relação com os públicos, sendo importante o conhecimento da realidade internacional. Assim, o presente trabalho de investigação teve por objectivos a determinação tanto dos conteúdos disponibilizados pelos museus virtuais como das ferramentas disponíveis para o desenvolvimento do Museu Virtual da Cidade Velha. Para tal, foi feita uma análise de alguns museus virtuais existentes que foram importantes para as tomadas de decisão durante o desenvolvimento do Museu da Cidade Velha. No que respeita aos conteúdos disponibilizados nos museus analisados podemos concluir que estes oferecem, sobretudo, informações de apresentação do museu, sobre colecções, exposições físicas e trabalhos de serviços educativos, sendo essa a forma de comunicação privilegiada em termos de internet. Realizou-se ainda, uma fundamentação teórica acerca dos principais conceitos relativos a museu virtual. Também foi feito um estudo sobre as tecnologias de implementação Web nomeadamente o Joomla e o DNN. Das conclusões tiradas com base nas análises, foi feito uma implementação de um protótipo para o Museu Virtual da Cidade Velha que poderá ser acessível através da Web.

Objective To analyze the possibilities and limits of competency-based training in nursing. Method An integrative review of the literature on the subject was carried out, and an analysis was made of the results of a survey evaluating a nursing course based on areas of competency. A dialog was then established between the review and the results of the research. Results On the question of which theoretical type of competency the articles from the literature relate to, there is a predominance of the constructivist perspective, followed by the functionalist approach and the dialog-based approach. In the dialog between the literature and the research, limits and possibilities were observed in the development of a training by areas of competency. Conclusion The dialog-based approach to competency is the proposition that most approximates to the profile defined by the National Curriculum Guidelines for training in nursing, and this was also identified in the evaluation survey that was studied. However, it is found that there are aspects on better work is needed, such as: partnership between school and the workplace, the role of the teacher, the role of the student, and the process of evaluation.

OBJECTIVE To identify the psychopedagogical training needs of the pediatric nurses in the largest public hospital of the Balearic Islands, Spain. METHOD This study was developed with a quantitative and qualitative design, where 78 nurses (97.5% of the service) answered a questionnaire, and 15 participated in interviews that were analyzed via content analysis. RESULTS The quantitative results show gaps in the knowledge and psychopedagogical skills of the staff. These aspects could facilitate the development of tasks tailored to the personality and the psychoevolutional time of children with chronic diseases, as well as to the emotional state of families. The qualitative data was organized into four categories: family support; hospital and education; psychopedagogical training and difficulties in practice. The little communication between nurses and teachers is evident. CONCLUSION The data reinforces the need to implement training strategies and interdisciplinary work among health professionals, educators and families.

OBJECTIVE Replicating the training program in non-verbal communication based on the theoretical framework of interpersonal communication; non-verbal coding, valuing the aging aspects in the perspective of active aging, checking its current relevance through the content assimilation index after 90 days (mediate) of its application. METHOD A descriptive and exploratory field study was conducted in three hospitals under direct administration of the state of São Paulo that caters exclusively to Unified Health System (SUS) patients. The training lasted 12 hours divided in three meetings, applied to 102 health professionals. RESULTS Revealed very satisfactory and satisfactory mediate content assimilation index in 82.9%. CONCLUSION The program replication proved to be relevant and updated the setting of hospital services, while remaining efficient for healthcare professionals.

OBJECTIVEEvaluating how professionals of family health teams from three municipalities of Pernambuco perceive and interpret the effects of Hansen's disease training.METHODSA qualitative study using the perspective of Habermas. Six focus groups, totaling 33 nurses and 22 doctors were formed. The guide consisted of: reactions to training, learning, transfer of knowledge and organizational results.RESULTSThere were recurrent positive opinions on instructor performance, course materials, and an alert attitude to the occurrence of cases; the negative points were about lack of practical teaching, a lot of information in a short period of time and little emphasis on basic content. Low perceived self-efficacy and low locus of control, ambiguity, conflict of skills and the lack of support for the learning application. Nurses showed greater dissatisfaction with the organizational support.CONCLUSIONThe low effectiveness of training reveals the need to negotiate structured training from work problematization, considering performance conditions.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the level of knowledge and the availability of the Portuguese population to attend training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and identify factors related to their level of knowledge about BLS.METHODObservational study including 1,700 people who responded to a questionnaire containing data on demography, profession, training, interest in training and knowledge about BLS.RESULTSAmong 754 men and 943 women, only 17.8% (303) attended a course on BLS, but 95.6% expressed willingness to carry out the training. On average, they did not show good levels of knowledge on basic life support (correct answers in 25.9 ± 11.5 of the 64 indicators). Male, older respondents who had the training and those who performed BLS gave more correct answers, on average (p<0.01).CONCLUSIONThe skill levels of the Portuguese population are low, but people are available for training, hence it is important to develop training courses and practice to improve their knowledge.

El treball proposat és el resultat d'una investigació l'objectiu general de la qual ha estat l'estudi de les modificacions dels espais didàctics, tant físics com a virtuals, amb les quals el món de l'educació s'està enfrontant i amb les quals haurà d’enfrontar-se dins un futur pròxim. La investigació analitza models teòrics que puguin ajuda'ns a comprendre els canvis estructurals de la societat del tercer mil•lenni que puguin afectar també al món de l'educació, entre els que destaquem la introducció de les TIC, el Lifelong Learning i un canvi paradigmàtic des del concepte de temps precís (Kronos) fins al concepte de temps escaient (Kairos)
