El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis sobre el papel de la Cumbre de los países de América del sur y los países árabes (ASPA) en el posicionamiento de Brasil como potencia latinoamericana. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, esta investigación demostrará que dicha Cumbre constituye un elemento estratégico para el posicionamiento de Brasil como potencia a nivel regional en Latinoamérica, no solo por tratarse de una plataforma fructífera para consolidar el liderazgo regional de dicha nación, sino por su relevancia para fortalecer su prestigio internacional y el deseo de participar en la conformación del orden mundial a través de la cooperación Sur-Sur. Al ser este un estudio de caso que aborda experiencias concretas durante un tiempo determinado, el diseño de la investigación será longitudinal, ya que abarcará artículos y textos académicos que se han realizado desde 2005 hasta el año 2012.

L’evolució de l’escriptura musical és el resultat d’una progressió lingüística que s’ha anat forjant durant anys com a resposta a la necessitat de plasmar gràficament el nostre entorn sonor. Refer els passos de recerca seguits per l’home occidental, per tal de representar per escrit els sons, i utilitzar com a principal eina d’anàlisi cadascun dels dibuixos aportats pels infants com a resposta gràfica a diferents estímuls sonors (intensitat, altura, durada i timbre), ha permès als alumnes d’educació infantil acostar-se al món de la composició, al llenguatge i la sonoritat contemporanis, i a la conjunció de diferents arts plàstiques, com el dibuix i la música.

The origins of early farming and its spread to Europe have been the subject of major interest for some time. The main controversy today is over the nature of the Neolithic transition in Europe: the extent to which the spread was, for the most part, indigenous and animated by imitatio (cultural diffusion) or else was driven by an influx of dispersing populations (demic diffusion). We analyze the spatiotemporal dynamics of the transition using radiocarbon dates from 735 early Neolithic sites in Europe, the Near East, and Anatolia. We compute great-circle and shortest-path distances from each site to 35 possible agricultural centers of origin—ten are based on early sites in the Middle East and 25 are hypothetical locations set at 58 latitude/longitude intervals. We perform a linear fit of distance versus age (and vice versa) for each center. For certain centers, high correlation coefficients (R . 0.8) are obtained. This implies that a steady rate or speed is a good overall approximation for this historical development. The average rate of the Neolithic spread over Europe is 0.6–1.3 km/y (95% confidence interval). This is consistent with the prediction of demic diffusion(0.6–1.1 km/y). An interpolative map of correlation coefficients, obtained by using shortest-path distances, shows that the origins of agriculture were most likely to have occurred in the northern Levantine/Mesopotamian area

We assessed the importance of temperature, salinity, and predation for the size structure of zooplankton and provided insight into the future ecological structure and function of shallow lakes in a warmer climate. Artificial plants were introduced in eight comparable coastal shallow brackish lakes located at two contrasting temperatures: cold-temperate and Mediterranean climate region. Zooplankton, fish, and macroinvertebrates were sampled within the plants and at open-water habitats. The fish communities of these brackish lakes were characterized by small-sized individuals, highly associated with submerged plants. Overall, higher densities of small planktivorous fish were recorded in the Mediterranean compared to the cold-temperate region, likely reflecting temperature-related differences as have been observed in freshwater lakes. Our results suggest that fish predation is the major control of zooplankton size structure in brackish lakes, since fish density was related to a decrease in mean body size and density of zooplankton and this was reflected in a unimodal shaped biomass-size spectrum with dominance of small sizes and low size diversity. Salinity might play a more indirect role by shaping zooplankton communities toward more salt-tolerant species. In a global-warming perspective, these results suggest that changes in the trophic structure of shallow lakes in temperate regions might be expected as a result of the warmer temperatures and the potentially associated increases in salinity. The decrease in the density of largebodied zooplankton might reduce the grazing on phytoplankton and thus the chances of maintaining the clear water state in these ecosystems

Between 1895 and 1910 Barcelona saw a whole range of social, political and cultural changes due to the increasingly important emergence of the working masses. At the same time, the cinema arrived in Catalonia, becoming very quickly one of the favorite entertainments of the urban laboring population which was about creating a new culture opposed to the modernist and nineteenth-century elite .This is, broadly speaking, the context that serves as a starting point for a study of the role of cinema in shaping a mass audience in Barcelona, an analysis centered on new urban spaces intended for the leisure of the lower classes emerged with the birth of modern Barcelona, especially the “Paral•lel” avenue, whose opening in 1894 made even more apparent the great social tensions and existing inequalities in Barcelona’s society at the end of the century.

Es tracta d'una investigació historiogràfica de caràcter exploratori del fenomen dels serveis socials a Catalunya. La principal novetat de l'estudi resideix en l'enfocament històric, realitzat a partir de l'anàlisi institucional, normatiu i de les polítiques de serveis socials, centrat bàsicament en el territori català. El treball s'ha estructurat en tres partes. La primera, dedicada al projecte d'investigació, tracta del marc de referència, on es presenten unes reflexions inicials, s'efectuen unes precisions sobre la utilització dels termes i el mètode i es tracta de l'objecte d'estudi. A continuació es determina el tipus d'investigació i es delimita l'àmbit territorial i cronològic. En tercer lloc, s'estableix el marc teòric de referència i es formulen les principals qüestions i consideracions plantejades a l'entorn de la problemàtica d'estudi i el darrer apartat es refereix als mètodes i tècniques emprades, fent una especial referència a les dificultats sorgides en l'aplicació del mètode comparatiu i l'observació i, finalment, es concreten les dimensions operatives i les fonts documentals. Atesa la complexitat i la importància que tenia per a la investigació, es dedica íntegrament el capítol segon a l'establiment d'un marc de referència relatiu als conceptes tècnic i jurídic dels serveis socials, així com a altres termes propers, como la caritat, la beneficència, l'assistència social, l'acció social, la seguretat social o el treball social, entre altres. Al final es presenta una definició operativa per a utilitzar en el transcurs del treball. La segona part, que es titula "Una visió històrica de los serveis socials a Catalunya", es refereix pròpiament a la investigació. El primer capítol tracta dels antecedents, que s'inicien amb la pobresa i la caritat medievals, es revisen, després, les aportacions del Renaixement i els canvis produïts al final del absolutisme, així com els derivats de la industrialització, incloent les realitzacions de la Mancomunitat de Catalunya i de la Generalitat republicana, i, finalment, es revisa l'etapa franquista, tant les actuacions públiques com les innovadores experiències cíviques. El segon capítol es centra en l'etapa de la transició, quan es produeix la gestació dels serveis socials de la democràcia, on es tracta del paper desenvolupat per la iniciativa social i la Generalitat provisional, i s'analitza el tractament dels serveis socials en la Constitució espanyola i l'Estatut d'autonomia de Catalunya. El següent capítol es dedica a la dècada dels vuitanta i s'exposen les actuacions dels primers ajuntaments democràtics i la constitució i estructuració de la Generalitat autonòmica, així com les transferències rebudes de l'Estat i de la Seguretat Social en aquesta matèria. S'analitza la definició, l'estructuració i l'organització dels serveis a través de les principals lleis i reglaments que els regulen. En el capítol quart es tracta la dècada següent, on es produeixen transformacions remarcables. S'analitzen els significats dels canvis que es situen des de la fase excepcional de consens fins a una altra de certa normalitat democràtica. Es revisen els aspectes i les novetats principals, com la creació del Departament de Benestar Social, la Llei 4/1994 i els debats i plans d'actuació del mundo local, especialment les repercussions de les reformes organitzatives i les de les lleis territorials catalanes: creació de les comarques, la reducció del paper de les diputacions i la redistribució competencial local. Finalment, es constata el fort creixement dels serveis socials i la seva consolidació en el territori. A la tercera part es presenten les conclusions i consideracions referents a les qüestions plantejades inicialment en el projecte d'investigació. El darrer apartat es dedica a la bibliografia i els annexos.

RESUMO: A violência escolar, entendida como todo ato praticado de maneira isolada ou em grupo nas instituições de ensino ou em suas redondezas, envolvendo o corpo discente e/ou docente desses estabelecimentos, é uma realidade vivenciada pelos mesmos e reconhecida por toda a sociedade. Nessa perspectiva, a presente pesquisa investigou a problemática nas instituições de ensino público da Cidade de Aracaju, capital de Sergipe, Brasil. A pesquisa possibilitou demonstrar algumas das causas e consequências da violência, e entender os motivos que permitem o seu desenvolvimento em escolas públicas, campo da pesquisa, com subsídios não somente na ciência da educação como também na ciência jurídica, visto que fundamenta suas ideias em Leis e Normas que orientam e tipificam o comportamento do indivíduo na sociedade. Nesta pesquisa – de caráter exploratório e descritivo, de cunho analítico, coerente com as questões e objetivos propostos ao objeto de estudo – recorreu-se a uma pesquisa de campo com análise quali-quantitativa com resultados apresentados em gráficos, quadros e registros de ocorrência, utilizando como universo pesquisado escolas públicas municipais de Aracaju, através de questionário aplicado aos diretores e funcionários em visita “in loco”. A pesquisa é baseada em teorias que fundamentam os resultados encontrados de que o “homem é produto do meio”, isto é, a sociedade em que vive e a família têm uma influência e um papel fundamental na formação da personalidade do indivíduo, seja ele bom ou ruim. ABSTRACT: The school violence, understood as any act performed in isolation or in groups in educational institutions or in its surroundings, involving the student body and / or teaching of these establishments, is a reality faced by them and recognized throughout society. From this perspective, this research investigated the issue in public education institutions in the city of Aracaju, capital of Sergipe, Brazil. The research allow us to demonstrate some of the causes and consequences of violence, and understand the reasons that allow its development in public schools, field of research, with subsidies not only in science education as well as in legal science, since it bases its ideas on Laws and Regulations that guide and typify the behavior of the individual in society. In this research, exploratory and descriptive character, of an analytical view, consistent with the proposed objectives and issues to the object of this study - resorted to a field research with quantitative and qualitative analysis with results presented in graphs, charts and records of occurrence, using as group studied public schools in Aracaju, through a questionnaire applied to directors and employees to visit in the place. The research is based on theories that motivate the results found that “the man is the product of the environment”, this means, the society in which they live and the family have an influence and a key role in shaping the character of the individual, be it good or bad. RESUMO: Este trabalho investiga o papel do diretor escolar como agente formador de uma cultura da escola. Investigaram-se os conceitos de cultura, cultura escolar, gestão escolar, ambos com foco na atuação do diretor. Como hipótese de investigação considera-se que a opinião pessoal, aspirações, atitudes, concepção de educação, modelo de gestão e compromisso ético-profissional assumido, enfim, aspectos idiossincráticos do diretor influenciam de maneira decisiva a cultura de uma escola, passando pela equipe gestora (direção, coordenação), professores, funcionários, e por fim chegando até os alunos e suas famílias. Imagina-se que isso se deva em grande parte à liderança e autoridade conectadas ao papel central que o diretor exerce na instituição escolar, bem como se relaciona com as dificuldades que a democratização dos processos de gestão escolar encontra para uma atuação efetiva. Entre os objetivos deste estudo estão levantar informações sobre o papel do gestor escolar; identificar características da gestão escolar que favorecem a formação de uma cultura da escola; comparar as concepções acerca da gestão escolar como promotora de uma cultura da escola a partir das concepções dos diretores e coordenadores envolvidos nesse processo de gestão. Este estudo procura contribuir para compreensão do papel do gestor na promoção de uma cultura da escola, no sentido em que entende a gestão escolar como motor para articulação de processos, e dos envolvidos – professores, funcionários, alunos e comunidade – na busca de um ambiente escolar que seja traduzido e reconhecido como sua cultura, definindo assim um jeito de ser escola, uma espécie de identidade da escola. Como resultados, verificamos que a gestão escolar assume um papel decisivo na formação de um ambiente onde se cria uma cultura de escola, quando compartilha a sua visão de direção com a equipe gestora e fornece um direcionamento claro para suas ações. Desse modo, o estudo realizado evidencia a necessidade de se investir na produção de contextos escolares que favoreçam a construção de práticas democráticas, onde a cultura da escola possa ser vivenciada por todos e a partir de todos. ABSTRACT: This study investigates the role of school principal as a formation agent of the school culture. Investigated the concepts of culture, school culture, school management, both focusing on the action director. As a research hypothesis, it is considered that personal beliefs, aspirations, attitudes, vision of education, management model and professional and ethical commitment made at last respects idiosyncratic director's influence decisively the culture of a school, passing by the team management (leadership, coordination), faculty, staff and finally reaching the students and their families. It is thought that this is due in large part to the leadership and authority connected to the central role that the director has in the school and how it relates to the difficulties that the democratization processes of school management to find an effective action. Among the objectives of this study are collect information on the role of the school manager, identify characteristics of school management that promotes the formation of a school culture; compare the conceptions of school administration as a promoter of a school culture based on conceptions of directors and engineers involved in the management process. This study seeks to contribute to both, and thus an emancipatory purpose in the sense that believes the school management as an engine for articulating and processes involved - faculty, staff, students and community - in search of a school environment that is translated and recognized as its culture, thus defining a way to be a school, a sort of school identity. As a result, we found that the school management plays a decisive role in shaping an environment where you create a culture of school, he shares his vision of leadership with the management team and provides a clear direction for their actions. Proposes to invest in the production of school contexts that promote the construction of democratic practices, where the school culture can be experienced by everyone and from everyone.

La construcción del Estado nacional involucró la conformación de las localidades y la difusión de los idearios y símbolos nacionales. Las monografías locales transmitieron estos símbolos con el propósito de vincular las patrias chicas a la nación. Las miradas urbanas locales se convirtieron, a menudo, en imágenes del progreso y retratos de las élites locales. El período de mayor producción de estas monografías -1920 y 1960- coincide con el auge de la prensa regional. Esto revela la relativa eficacia con que se propagaron los símbolos patrios durante el período de profundización de la división político-administrativa y la constitución de los poderes locales en el Ecuador.

Este artículo analiza el tratamiento que da la Constitución de 2008 a la igualdad enfocada en el género, y, para ello, profundiza en los principios que la configuran y en los mecanismos que permiten su efectiva realización, de ahí que, en este artículo, encontremos una aproximación teórica a la igualdad de género, a sus principios integradores y a su desarrollo en la Constitución. Finalmente, se aborda el tema de los mecanismos que se prevén en la Consti - tución para la realización efectiva de la igualdad de género, desde un marco jurídico, que, al ser comparado con la realidad, evidencia una inefectividad de varias normas constitucionales, dando como resultado deficiencias en la realización de la igualdad de género en el ámbito práctico.

Este artículo expone los vínculos entre las élites charqueñas y rioplatenses desde mediados del siglo XVIII hasta inicios del siglo XIX, con una mirada que incorpora la relación territorial y el vínculo de las culturas políticas que se entretejen en la conformación de ambas élites. El trabajo da cuenta de los vínculos políticos entre el mundo charqueño y el rioplatense, asumiendo ambas realidades como vinculadas e interdependientes, y muestra que dicho vínculo estuvo configurado por narraciones y preocupaciones comunes, el impacto de la crisis imperial de 1808, la resonancia de la insurgencia indígena en los años previos (La Gran Regelión de los Andes y la Rebelión de Túpac Katari) y las experiencias autonomistas del mundo andino: La Plata (Chiquisaca) y La Paz. Se utilizan los aportes de la historia conceptual y la sociología política para analizar esos complejos mundos políticos y de conformación de élites.

Based on interviews with diplomats from a representative cross-section of nine member states and members of the EEAS itself, the research findings of this EPIN Working Paper confirm long-standing traditions and member state perceptions of cooperation with European institutions. The paper also reveals new aspects of the intergovernmental method of foreign policy shaping and making in the European Union; in particular how different national positions can positively or negatively affect the consolidation of the EEAS and the role of the EU as an international actor. As such, the Working Paper makes an original contribution to the existing literature on one of most discussed actors in the European Union’s post-Lisbon architecture in the domain of EU external action.

Using experiments with an atmospheric general circulation model, the climate impacts of a basin-scale warming or cooling of the North Atlantic Ocean are investigated. Multidecadal fluctuations with this pattern were observed during the twentieth century, and similar variations--but with larger amplitude--are believed to have occurred in the more distant past. It is found that in all seasons the response to warming the North Atlantic is strongest, in the sense of highest signal-to-noise ratio, in the Tropics. However there is a large seasonal cycle in the climate impacts. The strongest response is found in boreal summer and is associated with suppressed precipitation and elevated temperatures over the lower-latitude parts of North and South America. In August­-September-­October there is a significant reduction in the vertical shear in the main development region for Atlantic hurricanes. In winter and spring, temperature anomalies over land in the extratropics are governed by dynamical changes in circulation rather than simply reflecting a thermodynamic response to the warming or cooling of the ocean. The tropical climate response is primarily forced by the tropical SST anomalies, and the major features are in line with simple models of the tropical circulation response to diabatic heating anomalies. The extratropical climate response is influenced both by tropical and higher-latitude SST anomalies and exhibits nonlinear sensitivity to the sign of the SST forcing. Comparisons with multidecadal changes in sea level pressure observed in the twentieth century support the conclusion that the impact of North Atlantic SST change is most important in summer, but also suggest a significant influence in lower latitudes in autumn and winter. Significant climate impacts are not restricted to the Atlantic basin, implying that the Atlantic Ocean could be an important driver of global decadal variability. The strongest remote impacts are found to occur in the tropical Pacific region in June­-August and September­-November. Surface anomalies in this region have the potential to excite coupled ocean­atmosphere feedbacks, which are likely to play an important role in shaping the ultimate climate response.

The ≈3,450-million-year-old Strelley Pool Formation in Western Australia contains a reef-like assembly of laminated sedimentary accretion structures (stromatolites) that have macroscale characteristics suggestive of biological influence. However, direct microscale evidence of biology—namely, organic microbial remains or biosedimentary fabrics—has to date eluded discovery in the extensively-recrystallized rocks. Recently-identified outcrops with relatively good textural preservation record microscale evidence of primary sedimentary processes, including some that indicate probable microbial mat formation. Furthermore, we find relict fabrics and organic layers that covary with stromatolite morphology, linking morphologic diversity to changes in sedimentation, seafloor mineral precipitation, and inferred microbial mat development. Thus, the most direct and compelling signatures of life in the Strelley Pool Formation are those observed at the microscopic scale. By examining spatiotemporal changes in microscale characteristics it is possible not only to recognize the presence of probable microbial mats during stromatolite development, but also to infer aspects of the biological inputs to stromatolite morphogenesis. The persistence of an inferred biological signal through changing environmental circumstances and stromatolite types indicates that benthic microbial populations adapted to shifting environmental conditions in early oceans.
