This article will analyse the key strategies in the relationship between reading and writing in the area of ICT and the resulting importance in supporting literacy in this area so that the education system as a whole (primary and secondary schools and universities) can be guided to make full use of the opportunities ICT can provide. ICTs are able to help improve overall comprehension, evaluate general perspectives and raise awareness of the value of cooperation and, as a result, the essential quality of individuals and their contributions. These contributions are far-reaching and strategic. The benefits of applying ICT in reading and writing are also felt in oral expression and can result in education based more on dialogue which, in turn, leads to social change.

Reading is an essential factor for success at school that requires certain skills and strategies of great complexity rarely taught in schools. Verbalization of comprehension strategies can be considered an effective measure in learning to read. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of a program of teaching reading strategies implemented through interactive dialogic reading groups in the learning of reading comprehension. A quasi-experimental comparison with pretest and posttest design between groups was used. A sample of 355 participants aged between 8 and 9 years aged was used. The results weigh the potential value of the program and support the development of teaching models that integrate dialogic reading practices as they facilitate learning of reading comprehension.

This paper notebook contains undated and unattributed handwritten summaries and notes from published texts on world history, religion, and natural history, and was presumably kept by William Sever. The first page notes the death of poet Alexander Pope in 1744, constituting the latest date referenced in the notebook. The entries are typically short and offer condensed information on subjects including the histories of England, Japan and Siam; early Christian history; and natural religion.

This notebook is missing at least one page, as it begins in the midst of a problem. It contains extensive notes on logarithms and various related examples, problems, and calculations. Prince made notes on the addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of logarithms, as well as some notes on navigation. The last two pages of this notebook contain a draft of a letter from Prince to an unnamed gentleman in London, thanking him for his financial support. This is believed to have been written in June 1747, when Prince arrived in Portsmouth, England "without one six pence in [his] pocket & without Hat, Coat, Breeches, Shirts, Stockings or shoes fit to come up to London with." In the letter, he thanks this donor for his support and describes in detail his situation and the challenges facing him in leaving the Navy and beginning missionary work. He refers several times to Dr. Philip Bearcroft, the Secretary of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel, who was responsible for his approval as a Missionary to the Moskito tribe.
