Introduction: The quality of life of dentists has worsened over time, due to increased risks of labor and competitiveness in the labor market. However, there are only few studies about it. Objective: Investigate the perception of quality of life of dentists working in public service. Methods: In order to accomplish that, a cross-sectional study survey was conducted with 52 dentists of the professional permanent staff of the Municipal Health Service. The data were collected through structured questionnaire, validated, self-administered, proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO) in its shortened version, WHOQOL-Bref. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression were conducted, taking 95% as the confidence interval that characterizes the sample and the calculation of scores for each domain. Results: There was predominance of female subjects (76.9%) the majority of them aged 25 to 35 years (48.7%). Most professionals consider their quality of life good (82.7%), and were satisfied with their health (71.2%). Considering the measures of central tendency and dispersion, the physical domain (13.8) and Environment (13.8) had the lowest mean scores. All areas affected equally poor quality of life of research participants. The facets that showed the lowest values were the physical environment with 39.71 points and 53.92 points to financial resources. Conclusion: The majority of professionals were satisfied with their health and considered their quality of life good.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge of Hygienists (TSB) and Dental Auxiliaries (ASB) in relation to their roles regulated by Law number 11.889, December 24th, 2008, and formation of them and capacitating received before they had been admitted in public health system. It’s a transversal and descriptive study where the target population were TSB and ASB (N=76) that works in public service from 5 cities of the DRS II-SP. Data collection was performed by semi-structured instrument with opened and closed questions. The answer rate was 90.79% (n=69). The results showed that the majority of professional know part of their duties (56%) Near half of them had formation course (47.8%). In relation to information received during formation courses, 80% stated had received all information necessary to actualization of knowledge, however, 84% stated to feel necessity to actualize their knowledge to develop their works, 58% of professionals said that they don’t receive capacitating after they had been admitted. It was possible to conclude that the majority of professionals know part of their roles, has formation course and the majority don’t receive capacitating when they are admitted in public health system, however, it was observed that a part of them don’t have specific formation yet and don’t know part of their roles according to current legislation

Since growing up on the family farm, Curt Bromm has continued to maintain a strong interest in agriculture and education as he developed his legal practice in Wahoo and embarked on a career in public service as a State Senator. Curt Bromm was born at Oakland and graduated from Tekamah High School. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he received his baccalaureate degree in agriculture and then a law degree. Curt served as a second lieutenant in the U. S. Army.

In 2008, academic researchers and public service officials created a university extension studies platform based on online and on-site meetings denominated "Work-Related Accidents Forum: Analysis, Prevention, and Other Relevant Aspects. Its aim was to help public agents and social partners to propagate a systemic approach that would be helpful in the surveillance and prevention of work-related accidents. This article describes and analyses such a platform. Online access is free and structured to: support dissemination of updated concepts; support on-site meetings and capacity to build educational activities; and keep a permanent space for debate among the registered participants. The desired result is the propagation of a social-technical-systemic view of work-related accidents that replaces the current traditional view that emphasizes human error and results in blaming the victims. The Forum uses an educational approach known as permanent health education, which is based on the experience and needs of workers and encourages debate among participants. The forum adopts a problematizing pedagogy that starts from the requirements and experiences of the social actors and stimulates support and discussions among them in line with an ongoing health educational approach. The current challenge is to turn the platform into a social networking website in order to broaden its links with society.

Consolidation of international guidelines for the management of canine populations in urban areas and proposal of performance indicators The objective of this study is to propose a generic program for the management of urban canine populations with suggestion of performance indicators. The following international guidelines on canine population management were revised and consolidated: World Health Organization, World Organisation for Animal Health, World Society for the Protection of Animals, International Companion Animal Management Coalition, and the Food and Agriculture Organization. Management programs should cover: situation diagnosis, including estimates of population size; social participation with involvement of various sectors in the planning and execution of strategies; educational actions to promote humane values, animal welfare, community health, and responsible ownership (through purchase or adoption); environmental and waste management to eliminate sources of food and shelter; registration and identification of animals; animal health care, reproductive control; prevention and control of zoonoses; control of animal commerce; management of animal behavior and adequate solutions for abandoned animals; and laws regulating responsible ownership, prevention of abandonment and zoonoses. To monitor these actions, four groups of indicators are suggested: animal population indicators, human/animal interaction indicators, public service indicators, and zoonosis indicators. The management of stray canine populations requires political, sanitary, ethologic, ecologic, and humanitarian strategies that are socially acceptable and environmentally sustainable. Such measures must also include the control of zoonoses such as rabies and leishmaniasis, considering the concept of "one health," which benefits both the animals and people in the community.

Endergebnis Duale Systeme im Bereich des Rundfunkrechtes bedeuten Koexistenz von privaten und öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunkveranstaltern. Die in der Verfassung der Bundesrepublik Deutschland angelegte Rundfunkordnung ist im wesentlichen durch die Rechtsprechung des Bundesverfassungsgerichts geprägt worden. Das aufgrund dieser Vorgaben gewachsene duale System besteht aus einem starken öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunk, dessen Position durch die vorrangige Finanzierung aus Gebühren privilegiert wird. Im Gegenzug wird ihm die zentrale Aufgabe zur Sicherung der Grundversorgung zugewiesen. Daneben bestehen die privaten Rundfunkveranstalter, die sich aus Werbeeinnahmen und Nutzungsentgelten finanzieren und insoweit dem Wettbewerb im Markt in höherem Maße ausgeliefert sind. Im europäischen Bereich fällt der Schutz von Pluralismus und Meinungsvielfalt in erster Linie in den Zuständigkeitsbereich der Mitgliedstaaten. Die Medienlandschaften der Mitgliedstaaten sind durch vielfältige Eigenheiten und Traditionen geprägt, die gerade erhalten bleiben sollen. Die Ausgestaltung des dualen Systems im europäischen Rahmen wirft mithin Bedenken allein im Hinblick auf die Finanzierung der öffentlich-rechtlichen Veranstalter aus öffentlichen Ressourcen und die darauf basierende Wettbewerbsverzerrung auf. Mit dem Radio- und Fernsehgesetz von 1991 wurde in der Schweiz ein duales Rundfunksystem eingeführt. Das Treuhandmodell wurde ergänzt durch das Marktmodell. Allerdings galt das duale System für Rundfunk und Fernsehen in der Schweiz nur in der abgeschwächten Form eines staatlich geordneten Wettbewerbs. Es bestand ein Drei-Ebenen-Modell, das eine direkte Konkurrenz zwischen der nationalen Dachorganisation SRG (Schweizerische Rundfunkgesellschaft) und privaten Unternehmen weitestgehend vermied. Die Hauptverpflichtung des Service public oblag der SRG, die auch die Gebühren erhielt. Daneben wurden allerdings alle Veranstalter zu Service-public-Leistungen verpflichtet. Im Gegenzug dazu sah der Gesetzgeber in marktschwachen Regionen ein Gebührensplitting vor. Mit dem neuen RTVG soll dem Service Public eine Bestands- und Entwicklungsgarantie zugesichert werden. Anstelle einer scharfen Trennung zwischen gebühren- und werbefinanzierten Anbietern mit entsprechend unterschiedlichen Funktionen im Mediensystem sollen allerdings die elektronischen Medien in der Schweiz großflächig subventioniert und vermehrt mit Leistungsaufträgen gesteuert werden. Gerade auf lokaler Ebene wird eine Ausweitung des Gebührensplittings vorgesehen. Nicht nur einer, sondern eine Vielzahl von Veranstaltern soll künftig mit der Grundversorgung beauftragt werden. Insbesondere der Service public régional soll von privaten Anbietern und der SRG erbracht werden. Eine Inpflichtnahme sämtlicher privater Rundfunkveranstalter wird indes nicht vorgesehen. Anhand dieser Masterarbeit sollen weiterhin die Unterschiede herausgearbeitet werden, die einzelne nationale Rundfunksysteme aufweisen können und damit auch die rundfunkpolitischen Modelle trotz des gleich bleibenden Grundgedankens, hier des Dualismus. Die Modelle sind stets in ihrem spezifischen politischen und kulturellen Kontext zu sehen, woraus sie historisch gewachsen sind. Durch den Vergleich sollen auf der einen Seite die Probleme der Rundfunkmodelle dargelegt werden, die diesen unabhängig von ihrer Ausgestaltung in mehr oder minder ausgeprägter Form generell innewohnen (Definition der Grundversorgung - des Service public/ Ressourcenknappheit/ Krisen des dualen Systems). Andererseits sollen die spezifischen Probleme der Schweiz aufgrund ihrer mehrsprachigen, kleinstaatlichen Struktur verdeutlicht werden (Hoher Marktanteil an ausländischen, überwiegend deutschsprachigen Programmen an der Fernsehnutzung; Mehrsprachigkeit; Kleinräumigkeit von Zuschauer- und Zuhörermärkten sowie der Werbemärkte).

La crisi del “teatro come servizio pubblico” degli Stabili, Piccolo Teatro in testa, si manifesta allo stadio di insoddisfazione interna già alla fine degli anni Cinquanta. Se dal punto di vista della pratica scenica, la prima faglia di rottura è pressoché unanimemente ricondotta alla comparsa delle primissime messe in scena –discusse, irritanti e provocatorie- di Carmelo Bene e Quartucci (1959-60) più difficile è individuare il corrispettivo di un critico-intellettuale apportatore di una altrettanto deflagrante rottura. I nomi di Arbasino e di Flaiano sono, in questo caso, i primi che vengono alla mente, ma, seppure portatori di una critica sensibile al “teatro ufficiale”, così come viene ribattezzato dopo il Convegno di Ivrea (1967) il modello attuato dagli Stabili, essi non possono, a ben vedere, essere considerati i veri promotori di una modalità differente di fare critica che, a partire da quel Convegno, si accompagnerà stabilmente alla ricerca scenica del Nuovo Teatro. Ma in cosa consiste, allora, questa nuova “operatività” critica? Si tratta principalmente di una modalità capace di operare alle soglie della scrittura, abbracciando una progressiva, ma costante fuoriuscita dalla redazione di cronache teatrali, per ripensare radicalmente la propria attività in nuovi spazi operativi quali le riviste e l’editoria di settore, un rapporto sempre più stretto con i mass-media quali radio e televisione e la pratica organizzativa di momenti spettacolari e teorici al contempo -festival, convegni, rassegne e premi- per una forma di partecipazione poi identificata come “sporcarsi le mani”. La seconda parte della tesi è una raccolta documentaria sull’oggi. A partire dal Manifesto dei Critici Impuri redatto nel 2003 a Prato da un gruppo di critici dell'ultima generazione, la tesi utilizza quella dichiarazione come punto di partenza per creare un piccolo archivio sull’oggi raccogliendo le elaborazioni di alcune delle esperienze più significative di questi dieci anni.
