Significações de si: sala de apoio como lugar destinado ao não saber na escola

The qualitative study, in its descriptive and interpretive modality, was based on Piaget's theoretical framework in order to analyze the significances of fifty-two students attending classes with tutors. The results indicated that the significances of students about difficulties on learning, errors and tutoring have to do with stereotypes, stigmas and inferiority of their condition to achieve learning objectives. Learning difficulties are seen as a problem of their own personal or family situation, while tutoring a place of punishment for those who have learning difficulties.

Aprende-se a ler na escola? um wstudo da aprendizagem de leitura na escola pública paulista

This article presents a study about the reading/formation of readers in the public school of São Paulo. To make this study the most present material in the school and the activities proposed in them are analized. What it is intended is to show that, many times, the difficulties of reading presented by the students in the external evaluations may be resulting from the kind of reading practiced in the scholar institution.

Escola, seu fim e o ressurgimento da educação: o paradoxo da subjetividade no saber atual

O sistema educativo passa por um processo da institucionalização do saber. Qualquer forma de aprendizado que não seja subjetivado pelo “saber-escola” é automaticamente desacreditada, tudo isso em virtude da sacralização da escola e de sua demanda. Os colégios promovem uma educação doutrinária e alienante do projeto de vida da comunidade a que se destina, por isso há que enfatizar que estes possuem caráter disciplinador semelhante ao que ocorrem em instituições como as cadeias, manicômios. Através da apreensão do parco poder do saber nas mãos dos dirigentes institucionais, os alunos são transformados em “objetos-sujeito”, alvos de novas técnicas e ações que os desapropriam do direito de questionamento. Muitos autores – Paulo Freire, Ivan Illich, militaram em prol da emancipação das comunidades e de formas de aprendizagem autodirigidas e que promovessem a leitura e apreensão do mundo, efetivando troca de habilidades e o retorno das coletividades. São esses agentes políticos que norteiam essa revisão bibliográfica, de caracteres quiméricos para muitos, mas imprescindível para o retorno da educação que não se encontra apenas nas paredes da arquitetura panóptica dos locais instituídos como educacionais, mas sim em todas as situações que subjetivam os indivíduos ao longo de toda sua vida.

Fotografias escolares: a leitura de imagens na história da escola primária

This research consists in photograph reading, more specifically, school photographs related to primary teaching in the city of Campinas, between 1897 and 1950. It is based on a heritage constituted of 55 images that analyzes four categories of photographs: school architecture, student classes, teaching body and school activities, these categories illustrate the discourse about school, human contexts and social relations revealed by those images. The text also focuses the iconography documentation relevance for History of Education research, specially, about educational institutions.

Opinião de professores sobre a sexualidade e a educação sexual de alunos com deficiência intelectual

Using a questionnaire for quantitative and qualitative analysis, this descriptive study investigated the opinion of 451 teachers about sexuality and sexual education of students with intellectual disabilities. The majority (94.2%) perceives the sexuality of their students with intellectual disabilities, identifies their desire to date (38.3%), occurrence of questions (35.8%), sexual games and masturbation (19.6%) and the inappropriate behavior (6.3%); before that, they have positive feelings (37.5%) and negative (53.8%). Teachers believe they can contribute to the sexual education of their students (87.8%), however, they considered necessary the own training (39.9%) or the support of the school and the family (24.4%). It is important to invest in continuous training in sexual education for teachers working in inclusive schools.

Jogo de handebol e futsal na escola: possibilidades e limites pedagógicos

Sports team, specifically soccer and handball, has traditionally composing the physical education school contents as a curriculum component. There are several criticisms to extend this approach beyond the sportive discourse. While we recognize this need for expansion, we believe that the methodological endeavors to teach these sports content are still very poor, requiring, therefore, studies that guide us in changing not only contents but also the way of teaching it, which implies new e teaching, pupils and teaching relationship perspective. In this sense, the objective of this study was to identify and analyze, from a sports team tactics teaching approaches of invasion, the demonstrations by students, the phases of handball and soccer games, as well as the elements/dynamic structural, functional and operational in the same school environment. Given this objective, qualitative research, specifically, collaborative action research, best meets investigation is this scenario, since classroom teacher and students also participated in the content construction and strategies undertaken during the intervention. The study enrolled 28 students in the fifth grade, aging 10 to 11 years, in a Bauru/SP public school, physical education teacher and the researcher. Were planned and taught together, 14 classes over a semester with the handball and futsal content, guided for teaching tactics approaches. The data collections were made through systematic lessons observation (through filming and recording diary), interviews with students and descriptive reports made by the classroom teacher and researcher. The results indicate that there was an improvement in the phases of soccer and handball game, even though only the latter has changed its category phase to decentralized anarchic phase. Uma análise sobre dislexia na escola

O presente trabalho abordará o tema dislexia, que consiste em um distúrbio específico de leitura, caracterizado por dificuldades de reconhecimento de letras, decodificação e soletração de palavras, o que compromete a aprendizagem e o desempenho de alunos que possuem tal distúrbio. Através do levantamento bibliográfico será feito uma introdução histórica da dislexia, quando esta começou a ser discutida e abordada. Também será apresentando suas causas e características e as possíveis formas de reconhecê-lo. O estudo tem como objetivo apontar a importância do diagnóstico no inicio da alfabetização e quais possíveis estratégias de ensino para trabalhar com este aluno, destacando a importância do apoio dos pais e acompanhamento junto ao psicólogo e fonoaudiólogo, para o desenvolvimento desta criança

Escola de tempo integral: uma análise do processo de implantação na Escola Estadual Carolina Augusta Seraphim. -

No Brasil a educação é um tema delicado, com histórico de índices de reprovação e evasão escolar altos, escolas públicas em condições precárias em muitas regiões e profissionais da área pouco valorizados. As políticas públicas são uma importante ferramenta quando se busca sanar todos estes problemas. Uma proposta que vem sendo implantada no Estado de São Paulo é o das Escolas de Tempo Integral, em que os alunos têm a oportunidade de passar mais tempo na escola, com atividades diferenciadas e um modelo diferente da escola comum. Assim, este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a proposta do modelo e a implementação do mesmo na Escola Estadual Carolina Augusta Seraphim, localizada em Rio Claro. Para a análise de conteúdo, realizada neste trabalho, foi feito o levantamento de material bibliográfico referente ao tema de Escola de Tempo Integral, principalmente no Estado de São Paulo. Também foram analisados documentos e materiais disponíveis no blog da EE Carolina Augusta Seraphim. Podem ser destacados pontos positivos do Programa, como a dedicação exclusiva da equipe gestora, a valorização dos profissionais envolvidos, a participação mais aproximada da comunidade e família dos alunos, a possibilidade que os estudantes têm de pensar e planejar seu futuro. Existem ainda questões a serem melhor debatidas, analisadas ou até mesmo aprimoradas, devido às particularidades de cada escola e até mesmo inovações tecnológicas que podem ser usadas como ferramentas de ensino. O rúgbi e seus valores educacionais na escola

Physical education in their school environment can contribute positively in the training of students as it is in this discipline that many students feel more motivated to discuss and reflect on conflicts related to school life or in society. In this study we treat the rugby exploring attitudes and values that are present in this sport, considered important for the development of the student, with the methodological approach the dimensions of the contents developed by Coll et al. (2000) and Zabala (1998). Thus, the aim of this study was to develop rugby content emphasizing the values linked to it with students of the 5th year of primary education in a public school in the city of Rio Claro / SP. Among the values are integrity, passion, solidarity, discipline and respect that will be developed through conceptual and procedural lessons about rugby and its educational values, also taking advantage of situations up to during classes for discussions. The survey was conducted for 3 months. The evaluation was by holding a tournament organized by the students and by the researcher to observe what they learned regarding the dimensions of rugby contents (conceptual, Procedural and Attitudinal) and an essay where students expressed the experiences. As a result we see the importance of working educational values in society and the implementation of educational sports at school as a motivational tool. With the contribution of this research, it is expected that rugby can be worked in schools as an educational sport for the training of the individual and the development of physical culture of the students

A relação aluno e a escola: a cultura como resgate do prazer de estar na escola

Este trabalho coloca em pauta os problemas de sociabilidade e convivência existentes dentro da escola em busca de algumas respostas e de uma compreensão mais aprofundada sobre os motivos pelos quais alguns alunos não se sentem acolhidos na instituição, o que os afasta da convivência social e reflete negativamente em sua aprendizagem, em sua trajetória social e em seu futuro desenvolvimento profissional. Partimos da hipótese de que o envolvimento de alunos em atividades culturais tais como cinema, música, literatura, teatro, visita a museus, etc., seja participando como ouvintes ou em oficinas, pode, através de suas várias formas, resgatar um convívio produtivo entre alunos e a instituição fazendo-os querer estar na escola, propiciando oportunidades de desenvolvimento a partir da aquisição de bens culturais, complementando a formação intelectual formal. O trabalho visa acompanhar uma turma do 6° ano de uma escola estadual de Rio Claro, participante do Projeto de Extensão Educação, Cultura e Inclusão Social e verificar os efeitos do acesso aos bens culturais no desempenho escolar, nas relações com seus pares, com seus professores e com a instituição. A pesquisa fundamentar-se-á teoricamente na Sociologia de Pierre Bourdieu e nos escritos de Juarez Dyrell sobre escola e cultura.
