Este artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar uma obra-prima do teatro clssico francs: Andromaque (1667), de Jean Racine. Primeiramente, efetuamos sua leitura segundo os princpios da doutrina clssica, que se formou entre 1620 e 1660, na Frana. Nessa perspectiva, Andrmaca, rainha troiana vencida e cativa, a personagem triunfante, uma forte personalidade feminina fora do alcance do leitor/espectador: quem de fato Andrmaca, enquanto Pirro no est morto? Em seguida, destacamos uma das anlises realizadas pela crítica literria do sculo XX, a qual utilizou instrumentos interpretativos vrios. A leitura que fez Roland Barthes (1963) em Sur Racine subverte a interpretação anterior que se fazia luz da doutrina clssica, apresentando-nos Pirro como o grande heri trgico, e a personagem mais emancipada do teatro raciniano.

O presente ensaio tem por objetivo percorrer algumas leituras que a crítica literria exercida nos jornais tem realizado de O amanuense Belmiro, a partir de 1937, assim como apresentar a recepo crítica desse romance de estria de Cyro dos Anjos, no meio universitrio.

Posto venda em Portugal, em fevereiro de 1878, o romance O Primo Baslio, de Ea de Queirs, no demorou muito para chegar s livrarias do Rio de Janeiro. O sucesso quase instantneo da obra despertou a reao dos meios intelectuais brasileiros, em particular dos crticos literrios, divididos entre a acusao e a defesa da obra quanto moralidade. A recepo do livro de Ea tambm repercutiu na imprensa brasileira de caricaturas da poca, embora aqui, em lugar das charges, tenha prevalecido a stira verbal, na forma das piadas, poemas e pequenas histrias picantes, sob o influxo da crítica literria, questo discutida no presente artigo.

Em sua vasta trajetria intelectual que atravessa os mltiplos campos tericos das cincias humanas Michael Lwy destacou-se pela capacidade de estabelecer um dilogo profcuo entre tradies diversas do pensamento social. Partindo desta constatao, o objetivo deste artigo a apresentao e sistematizao de alguns aspectos decisivos da trajetria terica e intelectual de Michael Lwy, com nfase especial: 1) na importncia da sua formao intelectual, ainda no Brasil (no final da dcada de 1950), para a constituio de uma leitura no-dogmtica do marxismo; e 2) sua incorporao da dialtica no diagnstico weberiano da modernidade. O artigo argumenta que essa interpretação aberta do marxismo permitiu-lhe reinterpretar autores do passado como Marx e Weber a partir das condies de possibilidade do cenrio histrico e intelectual contemporneo. Esta disposio para enfrentar os desafios do presente sem abandonar as perspectivas do passado comprova a importncia da obra de Lwy para as cincias sociais e, mais especificamente, para o marxismo contemporneo.

Under different perspectives of interpretation and analysis, the notions of localism and universalism in the fictional production of Guimares Rosa have been strongly explored by the criticism, especially in Grande serto: veredas [The devil to pay in the backlands], in which these two dimensions overlapped and complementary become more intricate and profuse. Taking the analytical line of historical, social and political dimensions of the novel for granted not regarding it as an essay or strict allegory of the country the present study proposes a new reading of the composition with the interpretation of the articulation of these two dimensions in the forming of the jaguno system (ROSA, 1970, p.391), that is a concept created by Guimares Rosa and which transcends the historical and sociological reality. The articulation of the social, political and cultural elements figure in Guimares Rosas fiction and becomes an issue for wider debates and reflections, so that the particular element of the novel enables a universal survey. Based on diverse critical apprehensions of the novel, this paper aims to investigate the levels of the literary composition in which the local-universal articulation associated with the representation of the jaguno is constructed. In order to do that, the theoretical study is based on three dimensions of studies: a) critical essays about Guimares Rosa, the totality of his work and specific critical essays about Grande serto: veredas [The devil to pay in the backlands] and the jaguno system, b) theoretical apparatus concerning the history, the politics and the Brazilian culture related to the cangao; and c) theoretical subsidies for the study of the narrative

This research aims to analyze, based on the theories of French semiotics (or greimasian), the development of the critical text by Barbara Heliodora and drama criticism, a very popular genre in journalism and therefore of great relevance for scholars in the area. The corpus of this research will analyze nine texts by the author, giving priority to her early career (texts from 1957, 1958 and 1962) and her most recent texts (two from 2007 and one from 2010). The choice for greimasian Semiotics is justified because it is a methodology that provides all the necessary elements for interpretation of textual content and its relationship both in the business of the theater and journalism

This proposal offers a possibility of approximation of mathematical knowledge at the prospect of Critical Education defended by researchers such as Ole Skovsmose and Paulo Freire. Using storytelling as a methodological resource is intended to develop an activity that allows students to think critically about real-life situations that have democratic questions as ground. The research is part of the branch of mathematics concerned with the education goals of teaching mathematics in basic education. We discuss the relevance of an educational process that enables the development of a democratic competence in the first years of primary education by showing students that their classroom can and should be seen as a community, where everyone has rights and duties. The interpretation and understanding of real situations can be something very complex and uninteresting for students of that age, looking for an attractive feature such as storytelling, which is based on the tendency of Reading and Writing in Mathematics, proposed by Nacarato and Lopes; Cardoso and Fonseca. Adopting a phenomenological attitude in the research seeks to understand if the storytelling can contribute to the formation of the critical student. Assuming this perspective has developed a didactic sequence from the story 'o que os olhos no vem' from writer Ruth Rocha. The student's writing, favored by the proposed sequence, subsidizes the understanding of their thinking and acting on the democratic situations
