Letter to S.D. Woodruff from Fred Holmes. He says that A. Mains has finished levelling the road through his section of the marsh ditching and is in want of any back monies. Mr. Clancy has also levelled the roadway but there is too much water to do the bottoming. He does not want money until the final completion of his job, June 30, 1857.
