Way in the theme of the story of my life and training and electingchildhood as a guide in the works of Benjamin. Narrating a series of reflections on childhood and experience, taking for reading and interpretation of aphorisms that make up my childhood and training as a fellow researcher, a full text simultaneously, is juxtaposed with other texts and authors, intertwining with Benjamin, memory and history in my narrative, in a singular moment, an event. In this course highlight the place ofexperience and their languages, between the know-how, andknowing how to express thinking about childhood and educationevent in the making, which announces the issue of impoverishment and destitution of the experience of life ineducational practice, indicating the possibility resume thembetween school knowledge and practices through different view of childhood and the event, as a teacher. I will continue outliningmy experience in research groups choosing the language and itsinterfaces specifically with art cinema / pictures in the construction of our subjectivity in postmodernity. The methodology is qualitative, will take place within what we call the ethical self. Transcendence is an act and not a process, and yetas an overshooting of history is always historically situated and,therefore, has a concrete context. Using my own journey as an educator / researcher in my path as an area of passage / travel / experience / track / time in the constitution of my subjectivity in my own life story

Image segmentation using morphological watershed applied to cartography

Image segmentation is a process frequently used in several different areas including Cartography. Feature extraction is a very troublesome task, and successful results require more complex techniques and good quality data. The aims of this paper is to study Digital Image Processing techniques, with emphasis in Mathematical Morphology, to use Remote Sensing imagery, making image segmentation, using morphological operators, mainly the multi-scale morphological gradient operator. In the segmentation process, pre-processing operators of Mathematical Morphology were used, and the multi-scales gradient was implemented to create one of the images used as marker image. Orbital image of the Landsat satellite, sensor TM was used. The MATLAB software was used in the implementation of the routines. With the accomplishment of tests, the performance of the implemented operators was verified and carried through the analysis of the results. The extration of linear feature, using mathematical morphology techniques, can contribute in cartographic applications, as cartographic products updating. The comparison to the best result obtained was performed by means of the morphology with conventional techniques of features extraction. © Springer-Verlag 2004.

This work refers to a cut of my artistic creation path with some reflections on the subject other. Mail Art has been an alternative trend of art / avant-garde, where communication between artists networks is the goal to be achieved, therefore, from this statement, was approached some historical and particular aspects regarding the post and its contingencies in the art / forefront. Share this moment of academic completion with a postcard exhibition that will take place through the agency of other participating artists. To do so, were invited artists from the theme IDENTIFY UP to send work in postcard size with the exclusive use of the Post Office. The exhibition event will take place in the Gallery of the Art Institute. Participant of other similar projects, I believe I experienced a new role: who calls, organizes and rules.

Making Sense of Word Problems

In this action research study of my classroom of sixth grade mathematics, I investigated word problems. I discovered that my students did not like to try word problems because they did not understand what was being asked of them. My students also saw no reason for solving word problems or in having the ability to solve them. I used word problems that covered topics that were familiar to the students and that covered the skills necessary at the sixth grade level. I wanted to deepen their understanding of math and its importance. By having my students journal to me about the steps that they had taken along the way to solve the word problem I was able to see where confusion occurred. Consequently I was able to help clarify where my students made mistakes. Also, through writing down the steps taken, students did see more clearly where their errors took place. Each time that my students wrote their explanations to the steps that they used in solving the word problems they did solved them more easily. As I observed my students they took more time in writing their explanations and did not look at it as such a difficult task anymore.

A partir da análise de Tropical, tela pintada por Anita Malfatti em 1917, este artigo propõe que a artista procedia a uma mudança em sua linguagem pictórica, afastando-se das concepções de vanguarda que adotara até então para, aderindo ao clima de retorno à ordem internacional, aproximar-se das discussões sobre o nacionalismo na arte, presentes na cena paulistana. Assim, a imagem de mulher insegura que mudou sua perspectiva por causa da crítica de Monteiro Lobato adquire outra conotação. Os modernistas teriam preferido essa interpretação a efetuar uma análise da obra de Anita Malfatti, por meio da qual se poderia desvelar uma deserção do programa vanguardista feita de forma consciente pela artista
