A gestão dos resíduos sólidos no município de Bauru - SP

The destination of urban solid waste has became a very relevant theme because of the fast growth of cities. Bauru, a strategically located municipality, needs solutions for that problem. This research aims to show solid waste management in Bauru through a survey of the selective or regular garbage collection programs, treatment and final disposal of the waste. To do so, a questionnaire with 85 questions was used about solid waste management in the municipality and visits were made to the solid waste collection and disposal sites. Bauru has a bad selective collection program and very significant clandestine disposal of Hazardous waste. Furthermore, it doesnot treat hospital waste and has a deficient final disposal landfill.

Informatização: impactos editoriais e estéticos

This dissertation shows a new tool in the process of producing specialized printed media: desktop publishing. Because it is an important tool to this communication media, the visualization of its evolutionary journey began in the pre-history of informative vehicle, advancing to the informatics society. And it was just in this last social stage that desktop publishing legitimated its function, resulting in impacts on the production of these media and conditioned new styles. At the presentation of this new post-industrial society, a change of work and leisure sphere was verified, whose fusion is present and in this iteration, desktop publishing arose at home, in the little bureau. In this journey, desktop publishing became an object of reflection because of its conditioning aspects that fostered moments of observation in relation to a possible threat to creativity, thanks to its facilities and clichés. On the other hand, different positive aspects of desktop were also shown, at the same time, its conditioning aspects resulting into a restudy of its execution in different printed medias, showing its effects and sharing points of view. So, new styles and an editorial way of production were seen as well. Add to this aspect, desktop publishing – in general meanings – the informatization of magazine offices – has been producing dismissing of journalists, which is another important aspect in the presenting dissertation.

Diante da situação de abandono e descaso da área correspondente ao complexo ferroviário de Martinópolis-SP, é criado um espaço que segrega e divide a cidade. Nesse conjunto, destacam-se as antigas instalações da indústria de beneficiamento de algodão, denominada Sociedade Algodoeira do Nordeste Brasileiro (SANBRA), que marca o período histórico da época de sua construção. A partir de estudos referentes ao patrimônio arquitetônico e ferroviário, bem como do desenho urbano, foi determinado o modo de intervir no espaço. Dessa forma, é proposta a requalificação da área deste conjunto. Para tal, serão utilizadas duas escalas. A escala maior se refere à relação dos elementos situados no complexo ferroviário, no qual são propostas diretrizes urbanísticas. Numa escala menor, é proposta a ocupação do edifício com caráter histórico e patrimonial em que se situava os antigos galpões da Sanbra

Medidas de condutividade A.C. e constante dielétrica na perovskita dupla Ca1.2 La0.8 FeIrO6

This work introduces the results from the performing of impedance spectroscopy on the transition metals oxide Ca1.2La0.8FeIrO6. It was sought to understand the behavior of one sample from its impedance spectra for different AC voltages and temperature values and if an applied external magnetic field at room temperature would cause some change on it. The results revealed that the Ca1.2La0.8FeIrO6 at high temperatures shows conductive and inductive behavior and that the resistance increases with frequency, phenomenon known as Kelvin effect. At 150 K, the spectrum real part no longer consists with the theoretical prediction of Kelvin effect, starting to be influenced by the utilized voltages, condition that inexists on theory. At low temperatures (10, 20, 30 K) it was observed resistive and capacitive behavior, being possible on these conditions, associate to the sample a paralel RC circuit in series with a contact resistance with a fitting from the ZSim software. This fitting allowed the obtaining of capacitance, DC resistance and contact resistance values. The application of a 700G magnetic field at room temperature didn't cause changes on the spectra

Análise da eficiência energética em indústrias madeireiras através da lógica fuzzy

This paper presents the application of fuzzy theory to support the decision of implementing energy efficiency program in sawmills operating in the processing of Pinustaeda and Pinuselliotii. The justification of using a system based on fuzzy theory for analysis of consumption and the specific factors involved, such is the diversity of rates / factors. With the fuzzy theory, we can build a reliable system for verifying actual energy efficiency. The indices and factors characteristic of industrial activity were measured and used as the basis for the fuzzy system. We developed a management system and technology. The system involves the management practices in energy efficiency, maintenance of plant and equipment and the presence of qualified staff. The technological system involves the power factor, load factor, the factor of demand and the specific consumption. The first response provides the possibility of increased energy efficiency and the second level of energy efficiency in the industry studied. With this tool, programs can be developed for energy conservation and energy efficiency in the industrial timber with wide application in this area that is as diverse as production processes. The same systems developed can be used in other industrial activities, provided they are used indices and characteristic features of the sectors involved.
