This paper describes a Precocious Student Attention Program With High Abilities/Giftedness Behaviors developed since 2011 at Júlio Mesquita Filho Philosophy and Sciences São Paulo State University, located in the city of Marília/SP/Brazil. Based on Joseph Renzulli's three rings theory, the authors describe how they organized the process of identification and evaluation of the precocious children with giftedness behaviors that attend the program. Based on Joseph Renzulli's Enrichment Triad Model, the authors categorize the students and give an account of the enrichment activities that are developed alongside with the students and their respective guardians. It is concluded that programs of this nature serve this still little recognized category of students, as well as help the development of studies and is a significant locus to educational formation.

O bem-estar animal: como avaliá-lo e promovê-lo

The traffic of wild animals can be identified as the main cause of finding captive animals in zoos and sorting centers in Brazil. The maintenance of these animals in captivity is usually justified by the prevention of total loss of individuals of that specie, if it becomes extinct in the wild, and also, the importance of these subjects in studies of basic biology of the species. Keeping animals in captivity environment brings the need to ensure the welfare of them. The high population density and limited space are some of the possible stressors that these individuals face in capivity. Even the low pressure feeding and food easily available could be stressors, since they change the budget activities typical of the specie, causing sedentary behavior and sometimes depression. The captive environment and activities related to it (handling, transport, social change and social isolation) could compromise the animal welfare. Reduction in life expectancy, impaired growth and reproduction, personal injury, illness, immunosuppression, exacerbated adrenal activity and abnormal behavior, are events often lonked to compromised welfare. Hence, assessment and promoter methods are used to provide the welfare to captive animals. The assessment can be made by hormonal and/or behavioral measures. Both are extremely important, and usually are used in combination, to provide more tangible results about the condition of the animal. The promotion of animal welfare can be accomplished through environmental enrichment, a technique which aims to provide a more complex and diverse environment, increasing the possibility of the animal express more natural behavior, or characteristic of the species. Caracterização geológica do perfil laterítico no município de Rondon do Pará, bloco sul do projeto Alumina Rondon

This completion of course work has as its object of study the Bauxite Province of Paragominas regarded as the richest Amazon bauxite province and whose genesis is related to laterization processes responsible for the formation of mineral deposits of the Rondon Alumina Project, designed to assess areas in the southeast of Pará State, for mineral resources exploration of bauxite, which is the main source of aluminum in the country. Located in the region of Rondon do Pará - PA, the study area is geologically inserted in Lithostratigraphic Unit called Cobertura Laterítica Matura (Mature Lateritic Cover), formed by alteration of paleotropics Cretaceous siliciclastic rocks, and its geomorphology corresponds to a broad plateau with displays of representative profiles of the processes that acted in the region. In this context, the present research aims to characterize the geological evolution of the laterite profile, with detailed studies in the area, geological description of the formations from the bauxite surfaces, and mineralogical composition litochemical of different horizons that were correlated and deployed in an evolutionary model compatible with its traits. The data collected during the analysis subsidized metalogenetic understanding of the processes that acted in the enrichment of aluminum and iron as well as the redistribution of the latter modified profile. The results and information were embodied in the form of geological characterization of the different constituents of mineral associations of bauxite horizons, similarities or differences in both textural and structural aspects, in order to propose a evolutionary model with retaken of gibbsitization processes

Indução de morte celular por apoptose decorrente da irradiação com Raios-X: um ensaio com células mamárias humanas tumorais

Apoptosis is a form of programmed cell death selectively removes abnormal cells, and thus contributes to maintaining the balance of the dynamics of cell reproduction. Therefore the verification of the occurrence of apoptotic cell death after a pathological stimulus is crucial for the analysis of the maintenance of normal cell cycle of a given tissue or organ. In this experiment were used cells lines human mammary tumor MDAMB231, T47, MCF7, which were irradiated with X-rays at a dose of 5 Gy in a time interval of 15 seconds, and filtration of 1mm aluminum. Samples containing the cells were grown in a specific culture medium, containing fetal bovine serum and growth factor, and two samples were prepared with each of the cell lines, one to be irradiated, and another that has not been irradiated, which denoted by negative control of the irradiation. The primary goal of the experiment was to verify and compare the rates of apoptosis in each cell lines, in which were irradiated and that were not irradiated, using flow cytometry as a method for detecting apoptotic cell death in together with specific markers annexin V and propidium iodide. Data from the readings made by flow cytometry were analyzed and interpreted using the software WinMDI statistical graph. Ciências no ensino fundamental I: reflexões sobre a experimentação como estratégia didática

Neste trabalho analisamos a experimentação didática no ensino de Ciências, discutindo possibilidades didáticas e implicações. Para tal, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica e análise da experiência didática pessoal da autora, num viés qualitativo de características autoetnográficas da atividade docente em si. Foram analisados os projetos de aulas de Ciências elaborados tendo em vista uma sala do 5º ano do ensino fundamental I, com diferentes estratégias didáticas, tendo como foco as experiências: (a) a construção de um terrário, (b) a construção de um filtro de água e (c) um experimento sobre erosão do solo e (d) a realização de um experimento sobre reciclagem. A análise permite considerar que a experimentação didática pode fomentar um ambiente mais lúdico, com possíveis implicações positivas para o interesse dos alunos pelo aprendizado de Ciências e, sobretudo, para o enriquecimento das atividades de ensino

A imagem poética na poesia concreta de Augusto de Campos

A presente monografia tem a finalidade de refletir como a imagem poética é construída na poesia concreta de Augusto de Campos. Para isso, será utilizada a teoria de alguns estudiosos, como Alfredo Bosi, Octavio Paz, Philadelpho Menezes, Aguillar, entre outros, para embasar a reflexão sobre a imagem poética que se desenha a partir da leitura da poesia por meio das palavras que compõem a produção artística. Há uma ênfase, durante a análise das poesias, nas palavras que as constituem, pois elas formam um elemento fundamental para a criação da imagem poética na produção da poesia concretista. O trabalho também reflete sobre a repercussão do movimento Concretista em décadas distintas (50,70 e 90) e em diferentes vertentes, como na música, nos âmbitos nacional e internacional, ressaltando a importância do Concretista para o enriquecimento da poesia, especialmente as compostas por Augusto de Campos. Também será mencionada a diferença entre a poesia visual e a poesia concreta. Para isso, serão explicitadas as suas peculiaridades e as suas propostas

Marcadores de Microssatélites para estudos de conservação da Raia-viola Rhinobatos percellens (Chondrichthyes, Rhinobatidae)

A exploração pesqueira, tanto artesanal quanto industrial, se constitui na maior ameaça à biodiversidade dos elasmobrânquios. Em escala mundial, o manejo adequado destes recursos é dificultado pela escassez de informações básicas sobre a dinâmica populacional destes organismos. A captura comercial de elasmobrânquios tem alcançado números alarmantes, com a inclusão de diversas espécies nas listas de risco de extinção nacional e também internacional. A identificação e a conservação de estoques geneticamente diferenciados e adaptados ao seu habitat, representam um ponto fundamental para o setor pesqueiro, pela sua relação direta com a produtividade total e o uso sustentável dos recursos. Entre as raias marinhas, a família Rhinobatidae é representada pelos gêneros Rhinobatos, Zapteryx, Trygonorhina e Aptychotrema, sendo registrada a ocorrência da espécie Rhinobatos percellens no Oceano Atlântico adesde as Antilhas e Panamá, Venezuela, Jamaica, Brasil, Uruguai, até a Argentina. No presente trabalho foram desenvolvidos marcadores moleculares do tipo microssatélites para raiaviola, Rhinobatos percellens, para serem utilizados em estudo populacionais. Cinco locus polimórficos foram isolados utilizando um protocolo de enriquecimento. Nos experimentos, foram testados 13 pares de primers, sendo 10 isolados no presente trabalho e 3 isolados para a espécie de tubarão azul (Prionance glauca). Dos primers isolados em Rhinobatos percellens, 5 são polimórficos, 2 monomórficos e 3 apresentaram bandas muito fracas, enquanto os primers testados de tubarão azul mostraram-se monomórficos. Todos os locus estão em equilíbrio de Wardy-Weinberg, exceto o RVA9 (de R. percellens). Os locus polimórficos apresentam de 3 a 6 alelos por locus e heterozigosidade média esperada de 0.62. Cultura, história e saúde: análise de enquadramento do jornalismo especializado em gastronomia

This experimental project focused on a specialization in journalism that is becoming increa-singly present in the media: the gastronomic journalism. The aim was to understand the speci-ficities of segmentation in the news and editorial spreads profile area for deepening the dining experience in contemporary society, considering the contribution of information to maintain proper eating habits and cultural enrichment of the reader. The research involved a literature review and survey of the history of gastronomy and cultural aspects, analysis and reporting framework for the months of August and September 2010 the Food section of the newspaper Folha de S. Paul, Taste of the book, the newspaper O Estado de S. Paul and the Menu maga-zine segment, Publisher of Three in order to identify the presence of aspects related to culture, history, health and nutrition

Realidade em crise: uma cobertura in loco da crise econômica na Espanha

Em um contexto globalizado, onde os acontecimentos possuem alcance mundial, torna-se necessário avaliar a eficiência do chamado Jornalismo Internacional na divulgação de informações. A singularidade do olhar jornalístico tem sido comprometida neste ramo, uma vez que a modalidade está cada vez mais ligada às agências de notícias, que apresentam uma cobertura pasteurizada dos assuntos em questão. O objetivo geral deste projeto foi contribuir para o enriquecimento das informações sobre a crise de origem econômica na Espanha, por meio da produção de conteúdo in loco, e retratar os reflexos deste contexto na vida da população europeia, nos âmbitos cultural, econômico, político e social, a fim de comprovar que é fundamental a presença do correspondente no local do assunto reportado. Além disso, constatou-se ser necessário reportar os efeitos da crise na vida comum dos habitantes da Espanha, uma vez que os meios de comunicação tradicionais se limitam a fornecer uma visão tecnicista do assunto, por meio de números e estatísticas. As notas, notícias, entrevistas, fotos e vídeos produzidos foram publicados em uma página experimental criada no Facebook, de modo a avaliar a eficácia das redes sociais enquanto novas plataformas do jornalismo digital

Novas responsabilidades para o professor na educação básica

The goal of this study was to identify some of the new responsibilities that have been assigned to the elementary school teachers , under the mediation of continuing education courses . We start from the idea that these courses , especially those offered by the SECADI, are proposed teachers and aims to train them for a performance at school that exceeds the activity of teaching in the classroom . The teacher has been summoned to attend these courses in which is prepared to act on school performing tasks rather related to the care of students than teaching , assisting them in their basic needs such as health, protection, inclusion and human rights. Asked ourselves if there was a reconfiguration of the responsibilities of education professionals in order to make use of oneself given by the State. We chose as sources of research documents the SECADI such as legislation , manuals and instructional materials that will proceed to the analysis , in each course , the target populations privileged , purpose, remuneration and certification , pre - requirements to participate in the courses and duration ; partnerships involved if the courses are face , semi-distance or distance ; activities that teacher should develop in school after completion of the courses ; loads hourly . We will seek to analyze the documents and materials of School programs that Protects, School Health Program , Network Education for Diversity. The theoretical and methodological framework is dialectical and historical materialism, from assumptions which we choose as the class character of society in capitalism and alienation as a phenomenon that affects the work in all its manifestations . Thus , our general hypothesis is that the enrichment tasks of teachers in public schools can contribute to basic disposition Teacher education

Estudo da tratabilidade de água pluvial utilizando coagulante natural a base de tanino visando fins não potáveis

This paper aimed to study the treatability of rainwater collected in Rio Claro, SP, using natural coagulant tannin based. The tannin was compared with other too primary coagulants, namely ferric chloride and corn starch. Assays were performed in laboratory scale using equipment known as Jarteste and aimed to study the conditions most suitable dosage and coagulation pH. First tests were conducted to compare the coagulating and determination of the conditions to be used in the following tests, taking as a criterion the greatest efficiency for water treatment. Also performed were performed tests to construct the tannin coagulation diagram, using the optimal concentration found in the previous phase, by varying the dosage of coagulant and the pH of clotting in order to determine the isoefficiency regions for apparent color and turbidity. Finally, tests were performed cyclically filtration with filter paper. Preliminary tests indicated that the vegetable tannin concentration 3% (m/m) from the commercial solution was presented the best set of results (84.3% removal of apparent color and 82.51% removal of turbidity) compared to ferric chloride (66.25% removal efficiency and apparent color of turbidity 67.82%) and starch (73.68% removal efficiency apparent color and turbidity to 67.19%). The coagulation diagrams indicate that the best region to work with vegetable tannin 3% is where the coagulant dosage ranges from 15 mg/L to about 37.5 mg/L and coagulation pH ranging from about 6.5 to 7.5. The cyclic filtration showed to be not efficient for the best dosage of coagulant, due to the process of clogging of the filter paper, but proved to be efficient for other dosages. Thus, for the waters studied, the results indicate that the natural coagulant based tannin is an alternative to conventional coagulants, possessing benefits of technical and environmental
