Nimfes de Plecòpters dels rius Llobregat i Besòs. Guia d’identificació dels gèneres i de les espècies més comunes.

Aquesta és la segona guia d'identificació de la col•lecció i es dedica als Plecòpters (INSECTA: PLECOPTERA). Els gèneres i grups d’espècies inclosos a la guia són aquells que de forma més freqüent hem trobat ens els estudis que realitzem en el marc del programa “Estudis de la Qualitat Ecològica dels Rius de la Província de Barcelona”. Aquest programa fou una iniciativa promoguda per la Diputació de Barcelona mitjançant la seva Oficina Tècnica d'Acció Territorial de l'Àrea de Territori i Sostenibilitat. La major part de les fotografies corresponen exemplars recol•lectats el 2013 a les parts altes del riu Llobregat i els seus afluents pels membres del nostre grup de recerca, tot i que en alguns casos s’han examinat les mostres històriques.

Guia para el reconocimiento de las larvas de Chironomidae (DIPTERA) de los ríos mediterráneos.

Este volumen especial de la col·lección F.E.M.- Guies está dedicado a la familia Chironomidae (INSECTA: DIPTERA). Esta guía tiene por objeto reconocer los principales morfotipos larvarios de quironómidos de los ríos mediterráneos utilizando caracteres macroscópicos que pueden ser observados a la lupa binocular (hasta 100x) ya que así es posible identificar las larvas a nivel de género o grupos de géneros. De esta manera, sin realizar preparaciones microscópicas se puede llegar a tener una cierta información de los taxones presentes. Se han incluido tanto los taxa propios de pequeños ríos, incluyendo los temporales, como los de las partes medias y bajas de los ríos, especialmente del río Llobregat.

DFM(A)- aspects for a horn antenna design

In this paper aspects of design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA) are applied to the design of coaxially fed standard gain horn antenna for 1.70 - 2.60 GHz. Possibilities to utilize cross-technological approach method is examined. Methods of DFMA for laser processing are covered and practical design guides and methods are developed. Antenna construction for easy manufacturing and specialized performance is shown. Required dimensions and tolerances are discussed and suitable materials for laser processing are selected.

Interaktiivinen NURBS-sovelma opetuskäyttöön

Parametriset NURBS-käyrät ja -pinnat ovat yleisiä työkaluja graafisessa mallinnuksessa, tietokoneavusteisessa suunnittelussa ja muissa sovelluksissa. NURBS-mallinnus on pääosin melko intuitiivista, mutta siinä on joitakin vaikeammin ymmärrettäviä osia. Ihminen oppii parhaiten tekemällä, minkä takia päätettiin tehdä interaktiivinen NURBS-opetussovelma, joka tutustuttaa käyttäjän NURBSien toimintaan. Sovelma toimii www-selaimessa Java-liitännäisen avulla ja hyödyntää Java OpenGL -grafiikkarajapintaa kolmiulotteisen grafiikan piirtämiseen. Sovelma on helppokäyttöinen ja opastaa käyttäjää NURBS-mallinnuksen eri osa-alueissa.

Filmes de titânio-silício preparados por "spin" e "dip-coating"

The conditions for the preparation of luminescent materials, consisting of Eu3+ ions entrapped in a titanium matrix, in the forma of a thin film, using the sol-gel process, are described. The films were obtained from sols prepared with TEOS and TEOT, in the presence of acetylacetone as the hidrolysis-retarding agent, using the dip-coating and spin-coating techniques. The influence of these techniques on the films based on titanium and silicon are presented. The Eu3+ was used as a luminescent probe. The films have been characterized by luminescence, reflection and transmittance. The thickness of the films could be related to the preparation procedure. Transparent thin films have been prepared by dip-coating technique.

El proceso de valoración de programas preventivos en drogodependencias

Programs evaluation is one of the models developed in the field of Psychological Assessment for determining how interventions or programmes aimed at promoting changes in the social context work. Drug preventive interventions have been the specific object of this type of evaluation. The present study describes stages involved in evaluating drug preventive programs and contemplates the main considerations to take into account to make this type of evaluation more effective in line with recommendations by the main programs evaluation guides

Els «criteris de visibilització de les dones» en català: límits sintacticosemàntics i discursius

L'objectiu d'aquest article és analitzar els principals criteris que les guies d'estil recomanen per visibilitzar les dones ¿o per fer un ús no sexista del llenguatge¿ des de dos punts de vista: el sintacticosemàntic i el discursiu. Des del punt de vista sintacticosemàntic, s'estudien bàsicament els fenòmens relacionats amb la coordinació, la concordança i la repetició o elisió d'elements (per exemple, especificadors del nom), i la manera com les diferents opcions afecten el significat oracional. Des del punt de vista discursiu, s'analitzen els fenòmens relacionats amb la coreferència; és a dir, la relació entre les diferents maneres d'expressar un mateix referent per mitjà d'elements nominals al llarg del text, i l'efecte que provoquen en el text en conjunt. Amb aquest objectiu, l'estudi analitza des d'un punt de vista qualitatiu les dades proporcionades per un corpus de textos procedents de tres àmbits (polític, administratiu i educatiu) en què s'apliquen sovint aquesta mena de criteris. Paraules clau: català, llenguatge no sexista, visibilització lingüística de les dones, sintaxi, cohesió, coreferència, llenguatge androcèntric, estil. The goal of this article is to analyse the main criteria recommended by style guides aimed at making women more visible or, in other words, to make a non-sexist use of language. I will concentrate on two main aspects: the syntactic-semantic and the discursive. From a syntactic-semantic point of view, the main elements being studied are those related to coordination, agreement and repetition or omission of elements (for instance, noun specifiers), and also the way the different options chosen affect the meaning of the sentence. From a discursive and stylistic point of view, the elements analysed are those related to coreference, that is, the relationship between the different ways of expressing a same referent through different elements in the text, and the effect they produce in the text as a whole. Having this as the main goal, the study analyses from a qualitative point of view the data from a corpus in three different areas (politics, administration and education), which often apply this kind of criteria. Identificação da influência do descarte de lodo de estações de tratamento de água

The growing concern of environmental surveillance of the quality of hydric resources guides the development of research on management of residues generated in water treatment plants (WTP). Approximately 8.000 WTPs in Brazil operate without a treatment program of the residues, disposing these effluents in the environment. This work evaluated WTP discharges into watercourses by collecting superficial waters, sediments and benthic samples at the town of Registro, São Paulo State, Brazil. Even though superficial waters and benthic samples showed no further contamination, sediment analysis pointed out that aluminum deposits detected near sludge discharges may represent a potential risk to the environment.

Análisis del proceso de adquisición del código audiovisual y de la intervención de los agentes que forman a los ciudadanos en el conocimiento de los medios

The research group Gre‐TICE (Grupo de investigación en tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación en Educación) has the acquisition of the multimedia language and their use as a form of expression as one of their lines of research. During the academic year 2002‐ 2003, following previous work in the use of ICT in Education, commenced upon the project: “The acquisition of visual and sound codes and the processes related to the visual media”. The intention of this project is to study how formal or non‐formal education context can help young adults and children to acquire visual and sound codes to become ‘critical consumers’ with the media and to use the tools in a creative way. To achieve this objective, the project team has developed a partner group which includes professional from different European regions; including teachers and managers from across the age spectrum, government institutions and cultural organisations. Whilst the project will call upon qualitative analysis of the previous projects / research, it will seek to develop ‘Good Practice’ guides and other resources/ materials to be disseminated to project partners (and others) to build innovative actions throughout the European region

Sampling in chemical analysis

The uncertainty of any analytical determination depends on analysis and sampling. Uncertainty arising from sampling is usually not controlled and methods for its evaluation are still little known. Pierre Gy’s sampling theory is currently the most complete theory about samplingwhich also takes the design of the sampling equipment into account. Guides dealing with the practical issues of sampling also exist, published by international organizations such as EURACHEM, IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization). In this work Gy’s sampling theory was applied to several cases, including the analysis of chromite concentration estimated on SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) images and estimation of the total uncertainty of a drug dissolution procedure. The results clearly show that Gy’s sampling theory can be utilized in both of the above-mentioned cases and that the uncertainties achieved are reliable. Variographic experiments introduced in Gy’s sampling theory are beneficially applied in analyzing the uncertainty of auto-correlated data sets such as industrial process data and environmental discharges. The periodic behaviour of these kinds of processes can be observed by variographic analysis as well as with fast Fourier transformation and auto-correlation functions. With variographic analysis, the uncertainties are estimated as a function of the sampling interval. This is advantageous when environmental data or process data are analyzed as it can be easily estimated how the sampling interval is affecting the overall uncertainty. If the sampling frequency is too high, unnecessary resources will be used. On the other hand, if a frequency is too low, the uncertainty of the determination may be unacceptably high. Variographic methods can also be utilized to estimate the uncertainty of spectral data produced by modern instruments. Since spectral data are multivariate, methods such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) are needed when the data are analyzed. Optimization of a sampling plan increases the reliability of the analytical process which might at the end have beneficial effects on the economics of chemical analysis,

Lladres del temps

Fa uns mesos, en un viatge que vaig fer als UA, vaig tenir ocasió de visitar les restes de diversos pobles construïts pels nadius americans segles abans de l'arribada dels europeus, incloent-hi ciutats, temples, granges, estadis esportius i un gran nombre de gravats i pintures rupestres, tots ells magnífics representants d'una important i civilitzada cultura al santípodes dels cànons imposats per Hollywood. En un d'aquests llocs vaig poder llegir un advertiment que, traduït al català, deia: "Es processarà els lladres del temps". Lladres del temps. Què volien dir amb aquesta expressió? No tenia pas cap intenció d'incórrer en un delicte pel qual pogués ser processat [...].

La motivació al canvi dels agressors de parella que realitzen un programa formatiu: Disseny d’un pla d’intervenció motivacional

En aquesta recerca es presenta el Pla d’Intervenció Motivacional (PIM) per subjectes que han de realitzar un programa formatiu (PF) en matèria de violència domèstica com a mesura penal alternativa. La finalitat principal d’aquest programa motivacional és que els usuaris iniciïn el PF en condicions òptimes per així augmentar l’eficàcia de la mesura i la seva reinserció en la societat. El PIM s’ha fonamentat en els models teòrics sobre motivació al canvi i en les tècniques terapèutiques que resulten més rellevants i eficaces, segons la revisió bibliogràfica exhaustiva feta en la recerca El PIM és un programa d’intervenció individualitzat amb una duració d‘entre 4 i 6 sessions, segons la intensitat de la seva aplicació. El programa vol ajudar als participants a identificar els aspectes positius derivats d’aquest canvi i les seves capacitats personals per aconseguir-lo. Per portar-ho terme, s’utilitza un estil terapèutic basat en el diàleg socràtic mitjançant el qual es treballen els aspectes següents: resolució de l’ambivalència, sentiment d’autoeficàcia, identificació d’objectius específics i desenvolupament d’un pla d’acció alternatiu. Mitjançant l’elaboració dels exercicis i tasques descrits en aquesta memòria, el professional guia a l’usuari per aconseguir augmentar la seva motivació per canviar la conducta problemàtica que ha estat objecte de la imposició de la mesura penal.
